Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!
Today is Day 2 of Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks. I missed the first day (and quite a few other posts), as I have been without power since Hurricane Sandy hit Long Island last Monday. Thank Goodness our power was restored yesterday, and I am now trying to catch up!
I have two projects to share with you today, and first up is the adorable new Moka Wanda! Like all of the Moka sets, Moka Wanda was illustrated by the fabulous Nancy McKinney, and since she was concepted by our own Wanda, Taylor named the set for her! FUN!
I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers. I cut her out and popped her up with Foam Tape onto two layered panels cut with the new Label Stacklets 2 Taylored Dies. The smaller panel was embossed with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder.
Here is a closeup of Moka Wanda. She is SO cute no?
All of the patterned paper is Snap Life and Snap Life Color Vibe from Simple Stories. I added some ribbon tied with twine and I added the scissors that I cut with the new Handmade Charms Taylored Dies.
Since I had to place to put a sentiment on the front, I finished off the inside. I added a sentiment, "Stamping Friends Are The Best" (which, by the way, I totally agree with), and added some more patterned paper.
Here is a view of the back of my card. I've used the new Signature Style set, which is a te Sampler, to finish off the back. I cut a piece of Choice Snow White Cardstock with the new Label Stacklets 2 Taylored Dies, stamped the stamp, colored her with Copic Markers and added mine name. SO fun!
Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my card:
Next up I have a trio of tags that I created using the new Totally Tags - Handmade, which was also illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line at Taylored Expressions.
I love this image and I thought it would be cute to create a trio of tags using this stamp. I stamped the stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and then cut out just the inner circle portion with Circle Nestabilities. I stamped the stamp again onto Kraft Cardstock and cut it out with the Totally Tags Taylored Die.
I colored the sewing machine with Copic Markers, and I didn't blend too much since the image is smaller. I then popped up the circle panel with Foam Tape. I added scissors and spools cut with the Handmade Charms Taylored Dies and anchored them to the tags with buttons.
Here is a closeup of one of the tags.
Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my tags:
