January MFT Creative Challenge – Hearts!

Hi everyone!  Happy Monday!

It’s time for the MFT Creative Challenge, and this month, it’s all about hearts!  I have two cards to share with you today showcasing this classic symbol of love!

My first card features a twist on one of the sketches from Blueprints 10 Die-namics!

Print

I started by cutting a panel of Grout Gray Card Stock using Blueprints 10 Die-namics and stamped the panel using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink using the Diagonal Stripes Background. I used Blueprints 10 Die-namics to cut the circle elements, and then added circles cut from Smooth White Card Stock.  Then, using the heart die from Blueprints 15 Die-namics, I cut hearts from Steel Grey Card Stock, Ripe Raspberry Prestige Card Stock, Pink Lemonade Card Stock and Blu Raspberry Card Stock.  I arranged them on top of the Smooth White Card Stock circles and popped them up with Jody Boosters.

I used one of the flag dies from Blueprints 10 Die-namics to cut the sentiment flag, and I stamped it with Ripe Raspberry Premium Dye Ink using the “XOXOXO” stamp from LJD All My Love

Print

On the inside, I cut another panel of Grout Gray Card Stock using Blueprints 10 Die-namics, and stamped “I Love You”, also from LJD All My Love, using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.  I added a Steel Grey Card Stock heart cut with Blueprints 15 Die-namics and stamped with the Diagonal Stripes Background using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink to tie into the front of the card.

My second card features the same color combo…I really love these colors together!

Print

I started by cutting a panel of Grout Gray Card Stock using the Fluttering Hearts Cover Up DIe-namics and stamped it with the Diagonal Stripes Background using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink.  I then cut hearts from Ripe Raspberry Prestige Card Stock, Pink Lemonade Card Stock, Blu Raspberry Card Stock and Steel Grey Card Stock using the heart die from Blueprints 15 Die-namics, which fits PERFECTLY on top of the hearts in the Fluttering Hearts Cover Up Die-namics!  YAY!  I coated each heart with a Clear Wink of Stella Marker and then attached them to the Grout Gray Card Stock panel.  Once the glue was dry, I then pulled up each heart.  LOVE.

Here is another view.  You can see that when the hearts are pulled up, you can see the layer underneath, which was cut with Blueprints 20 Die-namics using Smooth White Card Stock.

Print

On the inside, I added another panel of Grout Gray Card Stock cut with Blueprints 1 DIe-namics and added a row of hearts cut with the same papers as I used on the front of the card, using Blueprints 15 Die-namics.  I coated them with a Clear Wink of Stella Marker as well, and then stamped “I ♥ You” from MSTN I Love You More using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.  I again added a mat of Smooth White Card Stock cut with Blueprints 20 Die-namics.
