January's SFYTT!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday and Happy New Year!!

I am SUPER excited to share the January SFYTT Sketch with you today! You really MUST head on over to Jen's blog for all the deets on how the SFYTT works now! SFYTT participants that play along each month will be eligible for a GRAND prize package at the end of the year!!!

Today's SFYTT is being sponsored by the ever so swanky The Cat's Pajamas. I just received my most recent order from them (holy fast shipping Batman) and can't wait to ink up all the sets I purchased!!
My card today uses the ADORABLE Like You A Latte set, which was a gift from my super sweet MFT Secret Santa, Julie (thanks girl!). I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. I cut out and embossed the focal panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and then sponged the edges lightly with Memento Cantaloupe and Memento Tangelo.

The sentiment comes in a horizontal strip, so I just inked it up one part at a time and layered it so it was more vertical to fit into the circle (does that even make any sense???). I cut out and embossed the sentiment panel with Circle Nestabilities which I layered over Scallop Circle Nestabilities.

The patterned paper is Campfire from October Afternoon and I finished this off with some simple brown pearly doodads.

Please check out what my FABULOUS SFYTT sisters have created with this month's sketch here!

MFTeasers: Day One!

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday!

Today is the first day of teasers for the newest release from My Favorite Things (someone pinch me...I still can't believe I am here!!)

Today, I am peeking two AWESOME new sets...More Essential Sentiments and Clearly Sentimental About Time!!

My first card uses the "essential" More Essential Sentiments set. This set is JAM packed with sentiments that you just "need" in your stamping arsenal! I have used it here along with the new Die-Namics Layered Label Die (love!!!). You may also spy another new Die-Namic on my card...a Die-Namic Rosette!! I have only used a half rosette here under my sentiment, and I used the Die-Namics 1/4 Rosette Die (two different sizes are being released!!!)

The patterned paper is Be Mine from Echo Park Papers (my current paper obsession), and I used "Love You!, Love Me" for the front of my card, and then rows of XOXO for the inside!

My second card today features the GORGEOUS new Clearly Sentimental About Time set. I know I am still emotional after having Avery (grin), but these sentiments really touch me!

For the focal panel, I used the previously released Die-Namics Framed Greeting Die, and I sponged the edges to age it a bit.

My card also features a new border!! The Die-Namics Dainty Doily Border...I just love it! I added some lace from MFT and some GORGEOUS felt roses using yet another new Die-Namic...Mini Rolled Roses!!!

I added a pearl in the center of each flower and the patterned paper is Curio by Basic Grey.

I finished off the inside with another sentiment from this set!

Please head on over to Kim's Blog for a list of all the designers previewing sets today! Each day of previews there are two prizes hidden on two different designers blogs! Make sure to leave a comment and check the MFT blog daily for the winners!
The January Guest Designer Contest is on! Check out THIS THREAD for all the deets!

There She Goes Previews: Day Three!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!! Today is the final day of previews for the newest release from There She Goes!

Did you make your way here from the amazing Jessie's Blog? If so, perfect! If not, please start the hop at the There She Goes Blog so you don't miss a thing!

Today, the Trendsetters get to share peeks of TWO amazing new sets with you, Love Birds and Sentimental! I'm not sure which one of these two sets I love more!!
For my Love Birds card, I started by first stamping the birdcage, and then the bird over it (I stamped the bird and hearts twice) in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers.
The patterned paper is Be Mine from Echo Park Papers and I stamped the sentiment, and embossed it with black embossing powder, directly onto the patterned paper. I added a layered die cut flower and popped a Prima in the center (can't believe I still have TONS of these and I haven't used one in YEARS!).
For my second card today, I used the FABULOUS sentimental set! I've long wanted a set like this so I am SUPER excited!!
I used the same color combo as I did on my Love Birds card, but this time I went with a one layer card (I know, shocking!). I stamped the "I love you" sentiment repeatedly in Memento London Fog and then once in Memento Rose Bud. I added some heart die cuts from both felt and cardstock that I created with the Die-Namics Hearts A Plenty Die. I finished it off with a Raspberry Fizz ribbon and a stick pin through the hearts.

Would you like a chance to win both Love Birds AND Sentimental? Getting that chance is super easy! Simply hop around and comment on each Trendsetter's Love Birds/Sentimental posts and when you are done, head back to the There She Goes Blog and leave your information on the Love Birds/Sentimental post! One lucky winner will win both of these sets! Good luck!

Time For The Big Girl Bubbles...& An Announcement!

**PLEASE SCROLL DOWN JUST A TAD FOR MY THERE SHE GOES PREVIEW! THANKS **

Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesday!
I've been keeping a secret that's been VERY hard to keep...and now I can finally shout it from the rooftops!!!

I have been invited by the fabulous Kim to join the SUPER amazing Design Team for My Favorite Things (check out my super snappy watermark...woot!) and I am SO very excited! This is SUCH an honor!!!

To celebrate, I made this card using the darling a la modes Cheers from My Favorite Things! I thought the sentiment, "Time for the big girl bubbles" was appropriate for my new journey with MFT (you know...the bubbles in the bathtub...get it? LOL)!!

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers. I cut out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and then traced inside the nestie with a Copic Multiliner for a bit of pop. I kept two spaces in my frame, one on each side, and filled them in with a Twinkle for some pop!

The felt rose was created using the Die-Namics Rolled Rose Die and My Favorite Felt in Necessary Neutrals. I added a rhinestone to the center as well! The patterned paper is my latest paper obsession (I hope you like it as well since I have been using it ALOT!), Be Mine from Echo Park Papers!

I hope you'll stop by the My Favorite Things Blog today to see who else is joining the MFT Team!!

Previews for the AMAZING new release begin on the 31st, all leading up to the January release on Tuesday, January 4th at 10:00 P.M!!

Merry Christmas!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday and Merry Christmas!!!

I am assuming that by the time this post goes up, I will be dragged out of bed by Meredith and sitting amidst wrapping paper as she tears through all the presents that Santa has brought her and Avery!

I thought I would share pictures of the two best presents I've ever received, my girls Meredith and Avery! The first picture was when my mom and I were trying to get a good picture for our Christmas cards (Nope...I do NOT send out stamped cards to most of the people on my Christmas Card list!). I ADORE how Miss MJ looks in this one!

The second picture was taken when we had a "Big Sister and Little Sister" photo shoot in the living room. I LOVE Av's face in this one! You can tell that Meredith LOVES her little sister, and let me tell you, Avery ADORES her as well!!

I would like to thank all of you that follow, visit and comment on my blog! You all mean SO very much to me and I wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas! I hope your stockings are filled to the brim with love, laughter, and of course, some new stamping goodies!!!

Season's Sweetings!!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!!

I have a merry little card to share with you today!! This sweet reindeer Cuppie is from one of my favorite Taylored Expressions sets, Season's Sweetings! Cuppie always makes me smile, and well, a reindeer Cuppie...total cuteness!

I stamped this sweetie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. I cut out and embossed the panel with Square Nestabilities and then stamped the sentiment, Season's Sweetings, on the bottom of the panel. I placed the Nestie back onto the panel and then traced the inside with a Copic Multi-Liner to create the frame. While I was at it, I sponged the edges with Memento Cantaloupe and Memento Tangelo to make it pop.

All of the patterned paper is Everybody Loves Christmas from Echo Park Papers, and I used one of the patterns to paper piece Cuppie's "liner". I added Coffee Bean Sparkly Fluff to his antlers and Starfire Glitter to his cherry.

For some extra interest and "oomph", I embossed the patterned paper panels, including the circle panel, with the Scallops and Circles Impression Plate. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this Impression Plate! I then sewed all of the layers on my sewing machine. It's hard to see but I did add a border using the new Small Scallop Border Die.

I stamped one of the snowflakes from Winter Wonderland and then cut it out using the amazing Winter Wonderland Snowflakes dies. I added a silver brad to the center of the snowflake, as well as two on opposing corners of my card. A bow created with The Bow Easy finishes this one off!

Here are the Taylored Dies and Impression Plate I've used on my card today:

Happy Holidays Sir!

Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday!!

Let me preface this post with an apology. I haven't been able to blog around and comment on ANY cards in the past few days. Between two kids (one a newborn), a full time job (fun stuff) and preparing for Christmas, I pretty much feel like I am losing my marbles! Once the holiday is over, I will be (hopefully) back to my commenting self!!

Here is a quick card I made for my daughter Meredith to give to her Tae Kwon Do instructor, Master Eric, who she calls "Sir".

When I say quick, I mean quick! I colored this cutie, Karate Anya from The Greeting Farm, while holding Avery in one arm. I used Copic Markers (of course) and then cut her out and layered her with Oval and Scallop Oval Nestabilities.

This is my "go to" layout when I need a quick card, or when the mojo is not around. I used some yummy Twig & Tinsel paper from The Girls Paperie...totally my favorite paper these days.

The "Happy Holidays" sentiment is from Home Sweet Home Holiday Additions from There She Goes, and then I used the Banner Day Alphabet from My Favorite Things to add "sir" under the sentiment. I embellished the sentiment panel with some stars I die cut using the Die-namics Stacking Stars Die from My Favorite Things. The border is also from MFT, it's the Die-Namics Little Open Scallop Stip Die.

Thanks SO much for stopping by even though I am a comment slacker!!!

Forgotten Stamp Friday...on Monday!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! I seriously cannot believe that Christmas is almost here. I still have SO much to do to get ready! This whole "full time job" gig really cuts into my fun time!!!

Did you see that my BSF Jessie has a new feature on her blog? She has come up with a really fun challenge called Forgotten Stamp Friday, where she challenges herself (and all of us), to create a card using stamps that haven't seen the light of day (aka ink!) in quite a while.
I just LOVE this idea! I am sure that we are all alike, and have TONS of stamps that just don't get the love that they deserve! I also have to say, it felt SO good to use some of my Verve stamps!!!
For my card, I started with Mojo169 for the layout. It's also been some time since I played with a Mojo sketch, and I LOVE this one!!
I pulled out one of my favorite Verve stamp sets for this card, Hundred Hearts, and I stamped the verse in Versamark and then embossed it using black embossing powder. It's been AGES since I embossed but I really wanted a crisp, clean look for the song verse. I cut it out and embossed it using Mega Deckled Rectangle Nestabilities and sponged the edges for some more definition.
The patterned paper is Circa 1934 from Cosmo Cricket, and it's one of my recent favorites. I added some felt hearts using the awesome Die-Namics Hearts A Plenty Dies, and dressed it up a bit with a pearl. I added some stitching, rounded my corners with a Corner Chomper, and added a simple bow and some black rhinestones!!
Thanks SO much for stopping by!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Hundred Hearts from Verve
Paper: True Black (PTI), Pure Poppy (PTI), Choice Buttercream (TE) and Circa 1934 (Cosmo Cricket)
Ink: Versamark, Memento Cantaloupe & Memento Tangelo
Accessories: Black Embossing Powder, Mega Deckled Rectangle Nestabilities, True Black Ribbon, Bow Easy, Felt, Die-Namics Hearts A Plenty Die, Black Rhinestones, Corner Chomper, Sewing Machine and Foam Tape

Let's Celebrate Dana!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Today, quite a few of us are having a blog hop in honor of our friend Dana's Birthday!! Her BFF (and my dear sweet friend) Karen organized this hop (my Birthday is December 27 Saucy...hint hint! *lol*) to celebrate! I got to meet Dana in person this October when her and Karen came to Long Island. We had SO much fun...I can't remember when I last laughed so hard!

Did you make your way here by way of my sweet friend Joanne's Blog? If so, perfect! If not, please head on over to Karen's Blog to start the hop from the beginning!

My most recent My Favorite Things ordered arrived and of course, I HAD to order the new a la modes! I just ADORE them!! For Dana's card today I used the DARLING a la modes Cheers! I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers. I then gave her dress, and her glass of champers, some sparkle with some crystal gliter. I cut out the panel so that her glass was "out of the box".

I embossed the background panel with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder and the patterned paper is Tickled Pink from My Minds Eye. I added a black felt rose that I created with the Die-Namics Rolled Rose Die, and added a pearl in the center (which I have just realized is totally covered by my watermark!).

I sewed each layer on my sewing machine and the sentiment, "Let's Celebrate", also from a la modes Cheers, was cut out using the Sentiment Flag Die from Lil' Inker. I finished this one off with three black pearls on the patterned paper panel, in varying sizes from large to small.

I used this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS for my card, SC311.

Dana, I hope you have a WONDERFUL Birthday filled with love and laughter!!! Enjoy your day girlie...yeah, uh huh!!

The next stop on Dana's Birthday Hop is at the fabulously talented Paula's Blog!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Merry Wishes for Grandma & Grandpa!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday!!

Mom...do me a favor and click off my blog. This is your Christmas card and it would be nice if you are surprised on Christmas (grin!).

So, as I warned my Mom above (lol!), this is going to be my parent's Christmas card from my girls (I love saying that!!). As soon as I saw this ADORABLE Lollipop Christmas Bundle from Lori Boyd's Lollipop Shop, I KNEW I had to have them! It's SO hard to find images that show sisters, or a little girl and baby, so I was OVER the moon to find this one (Lori, you ROCK girlie!!).

This is a digi image, and I printed it onto X Press It Blending Card and colored the entire image with Copic Markers. After coloring them in traditional Christmas colors (my mom isn't a turquoise and purple for Christmas kinda gal), I wrote their names above their lollipop selves with a Copic Multiliner. LOVE using the multiliner to personalize my stamping!

The patterned paper continues the traditional colors of my card, and it's Christmas Cottage from Imaginesce. I added a yummy bow made with Pure Poppy polka dot ribbon (I am all about the Papertrey cardstock and ribbon these days...why I didn't switch over to PTI sooner I don't know!) and a delightful snowflake created with the awesome Die-Namics Let It Snowflake Die from My Favorite Things. I added some machine stitching and called it done! I hope my Mom and Dad like it...I have a feeling they will!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Hello Cupcake!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesday!!

Here is a card I created using yesterday's MTSC104! I always LOVE Mercy's sketches!

I received my order from the last MFT release (yippee!!) and couldn't wait to play! I LOVE this new Pure Innocence Hello Cupcake and was itching to ink her up!! Mercy's sketch was PERFECT for her!!

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card (LOVE this paper) and colored her, and her cupcake, with Copic Markers. I paper pieced her sweet dress and the cupcake liner with the same patterned paper I used on the rest of my card, Tickled Pink from My Minds Eye. I cut out the focal panel, making the cupcake "out of the box".

The border of Kraft cardstock on the bottom was created using the Die-Namics Little Open Scallop Strip and I used some yummy lace and buttons to finish this one off. I sewed around all of the edges with my sewing machine too.

I found myself emulating those sassy MFT gals again and finished off the inside while I was at it! These stamps come with such darling sentiments, they just scream to be used!!! I told you finishing the inside of the card was my new obsession!!

Thanks SO much for looking!! I will be adding this cutie to My Etsy Store today!

Recipe:
Stamps: Pure Innocence Hello Cupcake from My Favorite Things
Paper: Kraft (PTI), Choice Snow White (TE), X Press Blending Card and Tickled Pink (My Minds Eye)

Thanks For Dinner!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!
Here is a card I created using sweet Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch from this past Sunday, SSSC96!

For my card today, I used the darling What's Cookin'? set from Taylored Expressions! Being we are in the holiday season and lots of people are entertaining and attending gatherings, I thought a "Thanks for Dinner" card might come in handy!

I started by stamping the mixer in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored the "metal" parts and the bowl with Copic Markers. I paper pieced the rest of the mixer with the same DELISH papers I used on the rest of my card, Modern Homemaker from October Afternoon.

I used the brand new Large Scallop Border Die to create the border of patterned paper on the bottom and I embossed the aqua panel using the awesome new Scallops and Circles Impression Plate.

I cut out and embossed the focal panel using Circle Nestabilities and layered it over red cardstock cut from Scallop Circle Nestabilities. The sentiment, "Thanks for Dinner", also from What's Cookin'?, was cut out and embossed using the medium die from the Tags Trio by Spellbinders. I also added a die cut oven mitt from the same yellow polka dot paper that was cut using the Kitchen Accessories Die.

I finished this one off with a bow created with The Bow Easy, some brads on the top left corner, and of course, stitching all around that I did on my sewing machine!

Here are the Taylored Dies and Impression Plate I've used on my card today:

Espressing My Thanks!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!
Here is my card for today's challenge on the There She Goes Blog, TSG85, Use Your Stash, brought to us by the Trendsetter of the Week, Alex!

For my card, I started with last week's MTSC103, as I never had a chance to play along, and instead of using older papers and the like from my stash, I decided to use a previously released There She Goes set that hadn't seen ink in ages, Let's Get Together!

I was inspired by the holiday cups at Starbucks, and my card just sort of took off from there.

I stamped the coffee cup in Memento Tuxedo Black three times, once onto Kraft Cardstock, once onto the red snowflake pattern from Cottage Christmas by Imaginesce and once on Choice Snow White, and then I cut them out and assembled them the way I wanted them. The circle element is also from Let's Get Together and I chose to use the "Espressing My Thanks" sentiment.

Almost all of the panels were embossed with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder and the border was created using the Die-Namics Little Open Scallop Strip. I added a bow that I created with my Bow Easy and four white brads on the right top corner.

We would LOVE you to play along! To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that uses the sketch provided then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the Mr. Linky that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Dec. 20). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG85 so we can check out your beautiful work.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

I Love You With All My Heart!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!
Make sure to head on over to Jen's blog to get all the deets on the new face of SFYTT!!

This week, the SFYTT gals are once again choosing a SFYTT from the past and using it for their cards today! I chose to work with this fab sketch again!!

I received my latest MFT order (that last release rocked no?) this week and just HAD to play with some new goodies!! For my card, I used the new Pure Innocence Love You With All My Heart and she is colored with Copic Markers and her dress was paper pieced with the polka dot pattern from Tinsel & Twig from The Girls Paperie.

I used the AWESOME new Die-Namics Hearts A Plenty to cut the felt hearts and I added some of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to them to make them shine! For the horizontal panels, I used the new Die-Namics Dainty Dot Border and added a twinkle inside each of the holes.

Being I had absolutely NO room for a sentiment on the outside, I decorated the inside like those sassy MFT gals do...I think this may become a new obsession!!
Please check out what my SFYTT sisters have in store for you today right here!
Jenn Diercks Her last week...leave her some love!
Kerry Johnson...the AMAZING new girl in town!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! I have SO many unread posts in my Google Reader, so please be patient with me if I haven't been by your blogaroo in a while. This week was my first week back at work since having Avery and life is...shall we say, CRAZY now!!
If anyone is interested, this cutie will be added to my Etsy Store!
