Have A Lovely Day!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!

In 2011, MFT is working harder than ever to inspire you, and we have come up with something we think you'll really enjoy. Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a new monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, we're On a Roll!

My Favorite Things has SO many Rolled Flower Die-Namics, so for this month's challenge, I decided to create a card using Rolled Roses!  I just LOVE all of the Rolled Roses from MFT and I especially love to cut them from My Favorite Felt.  You achieve such a soft look!

The AMAZING Sarah Gough has created this comparison of all the Rolled Roses Die-Namics that MFT carries...it's SUCH a fabulous resource (thanks Sarah!):

For my card today, I started with the July SFYTT Sketch, which is sponsored by MFT!  I thought that the sweet Pure Innocence Rose from MFT would be perfect!  She is colored with Copic Markers and I paper pieced her dress with the same papers I used on the rest of the card, Sunshine Broadcast from Sassafras Lass (Thanks to Michele Boyer for totally enabling me...you have NO idea what I had to do to hunt down these papers!).

Using My Favorite Felt in Banana, I cut three roses using both the Rolled Rose Die-Namics and the Mini Rolled Rose Die-Namics.   I added a Latte Kaistercraft Pearl in the center of each flower and added some leaves cut from Fossil Cardstock cut from the Flower & Leaf Trio Die-Namics.

I added a border, again in Fossil Cardstock, with the Faux Crochet Border Die-Namics, and a big scrunchy bow of seam binding adorned with a Little Whimsie flower.  The sentiment, "Have A Lovely Day", also from Pure Innocence Rose, was cut with one of the banner dies from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics.  Tons of machine stitching finish off the front.

For the inside, I added some more patterned paper, and a border again with the Faux Crochet Border Die-Namics.  I added another sentiment from Pure Innocence Rose, "I'm So Grateful You're My Friend" and so more stitching.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:
