I have two cards to share with you today!  My first card features a FABULOUS new addition to the Moka Colllection, designed and illustrated by Nancy McKinney, the sweetest little hula girl, Moka Lani!  This is a petite stamp set which includes 5 images/sentiments on a 3 X 5.5 full color sturdy storage panel.  When Meredith saw this stamp she was SO excited!  She is PERFECT for us to add to her American Girl Scrapbook, since she chose Kanani as her doll!

I just LOVE this sweet new addition to the Moka line!  I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers.  I cut out and embossed her with Petitie Oval Nestabilities and then drew in a frame around the image with my Copic Multliner.  I did the same with the sentiment panel which features "Mahalo".  I added a few of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles underneath the sentiment as well with the help of Embellie Gellie.

The patterned paper is Splash from Echo Park Papers (LOVE) and used the AMAZING new Wave Border Taylored Die for the waves on the bottom!  I created two strips and added some Crystal Stickles to represent water.  A few more frames with my Copic Multliner and some White Brads finish this one off!

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on this card:

My second card today features the GORGEOUS new set, A Day In Paradise!  This set was illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line and is a full sized set on a 5.75 X 8/5 full color sturdy storage panel.  It includes a combination of 21 solid and open line images and coordinating sentiments in a sophisticated Cape Code style!  Like all of the stamps offered from Taylored Expressions, these are made from top quality deeply etched rubber in a cute shade of pink and come on EZ Mount already trimmed and ready to be used with your acrylic blocks!

My parents often vacation in Ogunquit, Maine, so as soon as I saw this set, I knew I had to make my Mom a card with it!  I stamped this darling beach cottage in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers.   All of the patterned paper is Seaside from October Afternoon.

Using the Cloud Duo Taylored Dies, I cut out two clouds and stamped a sentiment from A Day In Paradise on each, "Relax" and "Enjoy".   It's a bit hard to see in the photo, but I used the AMAZING new Chicken Wire/Woodgrain Impression Plate on the Kraft panel.  LOVE!

I added a picket fence cut with the Picket Fence Taylored Die right near my beach cottage and adorned it with some Baker's Twine and Red Jenni Bowlin Vintage Button (LOVE these).  TONS of stitching finish this one off!

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on this card:

Make sure to head on over and visit the rest of the Baker's Dozen and see what they have cooked up today!

Happy Birthday!

Hi everyone!  Happy Monday and Happy Memorial Day!!

I really must try and bulk up my stash of birthday cards.  Birthdays have been catching me off guard lately, so I thought I would try and create a card that was easily mass produced so that I could get a little ahead of the game.  This rather simple layout, combined with FABULOUS Die-Namics dies made this card a breeze to create!  I think it would be fun to change up the colors and papers too for a more masculine look!

Using the Well Worn Label Die-Namics from My Favorite Things, I cut three different patterns of Cosmo Cricket UPcycle for my focal point.  I stamped "Happy Birthday", from More Essential Sentiments, also from My Favorite Things, onto the graph paper paper and then sponged all the edges lightly with black ink.  I created three roses from Black Felt using the Mini Rolled Roses Die-Namics and added a Swarovski Crystal in the center of each.

The background panel of Fossill Cardstock was embossed with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder and I sewed all of the patterns on my sewing machine.  Before adhering the focal panel and roses, I added a Crystal Flourish for even more bling.

For the inside, I used some more UPcycle paper, and added a border with the Simply Scallops Die-Namics.  Another sentiment from More Essential Sentiments, "Enjoy Your Day" and two more Swarovski Crystals finish off the inside.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

A Wee Bit of Heaven!

Hi everyone!  Happy Sunday!

I have a Clean and Simple card to share with you today!  I am loving all the baby-goodness from this past Taylored Expressions release, and I pulled out the darling Welcome Little One set for my card today.

Welcome Little One is the current charitable set in the TE Giving Tree Program.  From May through July, 2011, Taylored Expressions will donate $7 from the sale of each Welcome Little One set to Bethany Christian Services.  Pretty amazing right?

I started with a card base of Choice Snow White Cardstock (this cardstock, along with Choice Buttercream) are my go-to neutrals.  LOVE the smoothness for Copic coloring too!) and rounded the corners with the Corner Chomper Tool.  I chose four of the solid images from Welcome Little One and then stamped them in a square using Memento Angel Pink, Memento New Sprout, Memento Summer Sky, and Memento Cantaloupe.

I LOVE the sentiment, also from Welcome Little One "A wee bit of heaven came from above.  A handful of happiness, a heart full of love" and I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black to the left of the blocked images.  A simple lemon silk ribbon tied in a big bow finishes this one off.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Happy Bird-Day!

Hi everyone!  Happy Friday!!

Here is another card I created using the awesome May SFYTT Sketch!!  Have you submitted your creation yet?  You still have a few more days to do so!

For my card today, I pulled out one of my favorite Pure Innocence stamp sets from My Favorite Things, You're So Tweet.  Isn't she so cute?  I ♥ her!  I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers.

The patterned paper is Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky from My Minds Eye, and I used one of the patterns to paper piece her dress.  I cut out and embossed the focal panel, as well as the sentiment panel, with Circle Nestabilities and layered them with Scallop Circle Nestabilities.

I added a border to one of the vertical panels with the Small Scallop Border Die-Namics and adorned that panel with White Candy Dots.  Of course, I added tons of machine stitching and all of the panels are popped up with Foam Tape.

For the inside of my card,  I stamped her again in Rich Razzleberry ink and then added another sentiment over top, "You're So Tweet".  Some more machine stitching and embossing with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder finish off the inside.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

We hope you'll join us in 2011.  Upload your creation to SCS using keyword MFTWSC21 for a chance to win this weeks prize (see above). You have until noon Tuesday, May 31 to play along.

I have to admit, this sketch was quite a challenge for me!  I pulled out some new papers, 5 & Dime from October Afternoon, along with my beloved Own Your Story set from My Favorite Things and got to work!

I stamped the text pattern in Close to Cocoa ink onto Fossil Cardstock and cut it out with the Four Point Frame Die-Namics.  I then cut circles with Circle Nestabilities and on the graph paper circle, stamped "Own Your Story" and the paper clip in Close to Cocoa Ink, the flourish in Soft Sky Ink and the stars in Kiwi Kiss Ink.

I created three felt roses using the Mini Rolled Rose Die-Namics and Puff Cloud White My Favorite Felt.  I added a Swarovski Crystal to the center of each rose, and the leaves were created with the Flower & Leaf Trio Die-Namics.

The patterned paper circles were cut with Circle Nestabilities, and the border with the Simply Scallops Die-Namics Die.  I stamped "Click Clack" in Close to Cocoa ink on the horizontal panel, added some twine, and then went a little crazy with the machine stitching.

For the inside, I used the graph paper pattern and stamped "Be Brave" in Close to Cocoa Ink, the flourish in Soft Sky Ink and the stars in Kiwi Kiss Ink and added tons more stitching.  LOVE the simple, yet finished look of the inside.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

Freeze The Moment is a 4x8 stamp set that includes a total of  29 stamps and will sell for $18, which was illustrated by Melyssa Connelly of Whimsie Doodles.  It is SO cute!

I started by stamping this cutie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers.  I cut out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and then drew in a frame with my Copic Multliner.  I left a little space and added two purple twinkles.

The patterned paper is Summer Days from Echo Park Papers, and I thought the ice cream pattern was perfect with this cutie.  I even added Clear Glaze Pen to her ice cream to make it super shiny.   The sentiment, "Freeze the moment" was cut out and embossed with Circle Nestabilities and I then layered it with Scallop Circle Nestabilities.  Some Baker's Twine and a scallop border, and of course, machine stitching, finish this one off!

Happy Birthday Jess!

Hi everyone!  Happy Monday!!

Welcome to a very special Birthday Blog Hop celebrating my sweet friend, and boss, Jessica!!!  Did you make your way here from my BSF Jessie's Blog?  If so, perfect!  If not, please start the hop at Angela's Blog so you don't miss a thing!

I have had the pleasure of being on the There She Goes Design Team for over two years now, and Jessica is SO much more than a boss, she has become such a good friend!  Whether it's emailing back and forth about day to day life, or chatting about Twilight, she always makes me laugh!

For Jess's card, I started with Jen's 2nd Deconstructed Sketch, DS2, and I pulled out one of my favorite There She Goes sets, Cattitude!!  This set is a must have for someone like me...we have four cats and if it were up to me, we'd have even more!

I stamped this cosmo drinking kitty in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers.  I then added some Crystal Glitter to her bow tie and outfit.  I gave her glass two coats with my Clear Glaze Pen so it' super shiny.  I cut out and embossed the panel with Square Nestabilities.

The sentiment, "Hope your special day is purrrfect", is also from Cattitude, and I cut it out and embossed it with Petite Oval Nestabilities and layered it with Petite Scalloped Oval Nestabilities.  I added a scallop border with the Simply Scallops Die-Namics die from MFT and added some Baker's Twine and two white brads in opposite corners.

The next stop on this Birthday Hop is at Joy's Blog

Happy Birthday Bar!

Hi everyone!  Happy Friday!!

I am SO excited to be a part of a Birthday Blog Hop for sweet Bar today!!!  I have the pleasure of being on the My Favorite Things Design Team (still can't believe that!) with Bar, and she is as sweet as she is talented!!  I am ALWAYS in awe of her perfectly executed creations!!

Did you make your way here from my sweet friend Christina's Blog?  If so, perfect!  If not, please head on over to the fabulous Tammy's Blog!  She is the mastermind of today's hop!!

For my card for Bar, I started with Pure Innocence Something Special Just For You from My Favorite Things.  I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers.  I cut out and embossed her with Petite Oval Nestabilities and then added some crystal glitter to her crown and the bow on the package she is toting.  I also added a Swarovski Crystal to the buckle of each of her shoes.

I paper pieced her dress with the same paper I used on my card, Summer Days from Echo Park Papers and I added a border with the new Double Scallop Border Die-Namics.  I embossed the Berrylicious Cardstock panel with the Seeing Spots Embossing folder and added tons of machine stitching.  I used Razzle Berry Cardstock for the card base.  MFT cardstock is super sturdy (100 lb)...LOVE it!

I created a little tag with the Notched Tag Die-Namics.  The frame around it, from the Notched Tag Stamp Set, was stamped in Pink Passion and the sentiment, "HB Bar" was created with the Banner Day Alphabet.  I finished off the front with some saddle stitch ribbon, a big bow and two white brads.

For the inside, I stamped this sweetie again, this time in Cool Caribbean, and added another strip of the same Summer Days patterned paper.  I love this sentiment, "May every part of your birthday be happy" and I stamped it over the silhouette a bit.  Some more machine stitching completes the inside.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

Bar, I hope you have a WONDERFUL Birthday filled with love and laughter!

Enjoy Every Precious Moment!

Hi everyone!  Happy Thursday!

Here is a card I created using the FABULOUS MAY SFYTT sketch again!  I find myself always reaching for Jen's sketches when I need some mojo.

Taylor announced a few weeks ago that she and Jon are expecting a baby girl!  I was SO excited when I saw that (I am ALL about the girls over here) so I immediately set to making her a card!

I used the GORGEOUS new Bringing Home Baby set from Taylored Expressions.  I LOVE the carriage stamp in this set and for my card today, I opted to paper piece it.  I shaded around the image with Copic Markers to make it pop a bit.  All of the patterned paper is from Lime Twist Life Of The Party from My Minds Eye and I used the Scallops & Circles Impression Plate on the Kraft background panel for a bit more texture.

The sentiment, "Enjoy every precious moment", also from Bringing Home Baby, was stamped onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and then I cut it into a little flag and placed it over the focal panel.  I added a white satin ribbon and bow that I created with The Bow Easy, and sewed all of the edges with my sewing machine.

I finished off the inside as well.  I stamped the darling little sheep and colored them with Copic Markers, and stamped the sentiment, "It's A Girl" in between them.  These stamps are also from Bringing Home Baby.  Some more machine stitching on the inside finishes it off.

Here is the Impression Plate I've used on my card:

Taylored Expressions Blast From The Past Blog Hop!

**Today is a SUPER busy day on my blogaroo!  Please scroll down for my Happy Birthday Lori card as well as my MFTWSC20 card!  Thanks!**

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!

Welcome to the May Taylored Expressions Blast From The Past Blog Hop!  Our theme this month is masculine and I had SO much fun with the sketch that Sankari designed!

For my card this month, I used the AWESOME Boys Will Be Boys set from Taylored Expressions.  I just love this tie stamp and wanted to use it paired with the delish Lime Twist Out Of The Blue from My Minds Eye.  I LOVE these papers for masculine cards.

I stamped the ties in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers.  I stamped the sentiment, "There's no tie when it comes to you", also in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock, and cut it out with the Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio 3.  LOVE these dies.

I threaded a ribbon through the die and added a bow of Baker's Twine along with a button for a fun accent.  All of the panels were sewn on my sewing machine and the border was created with the Small Scallop Border Die.  I also popped up the layers with Foam Tape.

Here is the Taylored Die I've used today:

Happy Birthday Lori!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Wednesday!!!

We have an absolute MOB of people today who have gathered to wish our DEAR friend, the FABULOUS Lori Craig, and VERY VERY Happy Birthday!!!  Surprise Lori!

Lori is, by FAR, one of the sweetest people I know.  When it came time to create a card for her, I knew I wanted to use the DARLING Sweet Friends set from Taylored Expressions!  I started with the current Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge, TESC138 for my layout.  This is SUCH a fun sketch!

All of the patterned paper is Lime Twist Life of The Party from My Minds Eye, and after putting all the papers together, I stamped three of the treats from Sweet Friends in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored them all with Copic Markers.  I then cut them out and attached them to the card with Foam Tape.

The sentiment is PERFECT for sweet Lori, "Happy Birthday To One Of The Sweetest People I Know", and I stamped it again in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and created a little flag.  I anchored it to my card with a double flower cut from the same Life Of The Party paper using the Friendship Blooms Dies.  I added a button and some twine to finish it off.

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my card today:

Lori, I hope you have a WONDERFUL Birthday and that this year is full of love and happiness!!  I SO wish I was able to head to CHA this summer so I could give you a big hug in person, but I am sending you virtual hugs now!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Howdy Friend!

**Please scroll down a bit for my MFT VIP Blog Hop & Shop Post**

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!!  I'm back with another AMAZING MFT Sketch...this week we are up to MFTWSC20!

Of course, it's another totally FUN sketch, and I had lots of fun using the FABULOUS Well Worn Greetings set from My Favorite Things, along with it's coordinating Well Worn Label Die-Namics.  L.O.V.E.

I started by cutting out my focal panels with the Well Worn Label Die-Namics.  I cut the largest layer with X Press It Blending Card, the middle layer with a piece of denim, and the final oval layer with Bubblegum Cardstock (LOVE this color).  I stamped the frame from Well Worn Greetings in Pixie Pink and then the sentiment, Howdy, Friend in Memento Tuxedo Black.  I added a rhinestone brad to either end of the panel for some bling blang (grin!).

Once again, and I know I sound like a broken record, the patterned paper is Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky from My Minds Eye.  I need a serious intervention...someone may have to rip this pad of paper out of my hands.  I added a border with another piece of denim cut with the brand new Simply Scallops Large Die-Namics, currently only available in the WTG VIP Kit HERE.  Believe me...you need it :)  I used my Hearts A Plenty Die-Namics along with some Sour Apple Felt for my little heart accent, and finished things off with a bow of Baker's Twine.  A few more rhinestones and some stitching complete the front.

For the inside, I used the Well Worn Label Die-Namics again, this time with another frame and sentiment from Well Worn Greetings, "I always love hearing from you".  I added another felt heart and some more patterned paper, and of course, more machine stitching.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

Please head over to Kim's Blog for a listing of all the designers using this sketch today!
