Happy Birthday/Howdy Friend {MFTWSC61}!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!  It's week 61 of our WSC Getting Sketchy. We have another fabulous sketch for you this week!  Meet MFTWSC61!

I just LOVE this sketch and I created two cards this week in my attempt to bulk up my stash of Birthday cards!  First up I used the gorgeous Finishing Flourishes set for an elegant Birthday card.  All of the patterned paper is Howdy Doody from My Minds Eye.  I stamped "Happy Birthday" onto a panel which I cut with the Vertical Greetings Die-Namics and I then shortened the panel to fit the sentiment.  I stamped two different flourishes and then sponged the edges.

The flowers were cut from My Favorite Felt in Puff Cloud White using the new Royal Rose Die-Namics, being released on Tuesday night.  I also tucked a panel of Jellybean Green Cardstock cut with the Fancy Flourish Die-Namics for a bit of elegance.  A few pearls under the sentiment and in the flowers, along with some yummy ribbon, are the embellishments, and I added stitching with my Janome Sew Mini.

Here is a closeup of the cluster of flowers:

On the inside I added more patterned paper, along with a sentiment from Happy Thoughts, "Have The Happiest of Days".  Love that.  I added more pearls and stitching inside too.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

Next up is a card I created using the Well Worn Greetings Stamp  Set and Die-Namics.  This card was SUPER easy to make...I think I will try and make a few of these to have on hand for Birthday cards!  All of the patterned paper is On The Bright Side One from My Minds Eye...love that denim pattern!

After cutting out the focal panels with the Well Worn Greetings Die-Namics, I stamped the frame in Buckaroo Blue and the sentiment in Riding Hood Red.  I added a fun yellow ribbon/bow combo and added on a star cut with the Stacking Stars Die-Namics for some extra fun.  A bit of bling completes the front.

Here is a closeup of the star detail on the bow:

The inside is SUPER simple, just a bit of patterned paper and "Happy Birthday" from More Essential Sentiments.  Easy peasy but I love it!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation.
