MFT Creative Challenge!

Hi everyone!  Happy Tuesday!  It's time for the monthly MFT Creative Challenge, and this month, the MFT DT are creating for the teachers!  My Favorite Things has SO many different stamp sets and Die-Namics that are perfect for that special teacher, and I've used a few today!

My daughter's kindergarten teacher is AMAZING.  I LOVE her and Meredith simply ADORES her.  There will be alot of tears at the end of the school year I am sure.  I wanted to create a card for her with a little girl that will remind her of my MJ.  I started with the darling Pure Innocence Book In Hand and colored her with Copic Markers.  Her skirt was paper pieced and I then fussy cut her out.  I popped her up with Jody Boosters onto two layered ovals cut with the new Oval STAX 1 Die-Namics and Oval STAX 2 Die-Namics (have I mentioned how much I LOVE these???).  I embossed the smaller oval with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder.

All of the patterned paper is the new Konnichiwa from Basic Grey.  LOVING these papers...which is nice since it's been awhile since I've loved any BG.  The sentiment, "You Make Learning Fun", from Teacher's Pet, was stamped onto a panel cut with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics.  The layout is Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC154 but I used an oval focal panel instead of a square.  The banner going down the center was cut with the Mix & Match Banners Die-Namics, and I simply added a white layer behind it and freehand cut the bottom.

I added a ribbon/bow combo using the new (and OMG totally luscious) Bubblegum Grosgrain Ribbon from MFT.  I ordered all of the colors and it was a GORGEOUS rainbow on my stamp desk as I was putting them onto my Ribbon Carousel!  I added a button cut from Hot Fudge Cardstock using the Button Quartet Die-Namics, which I tied with a bit of Cantaloupe Twine.

In this picture you can see that I've added a border with the newly released Mini Monarch Border Die-Namics.  LOVE this border.  You can also see my embossed oval, which was cut from Sno Cone Cardstock.  ALL of the MFT Cardstock colors are such amazing matches to patterned papers...love that.

On the inside I've added some more patterned paper, along with another sentiment from Teacher's Pet, "There Is No Substitute For A Great Teacher".  LOVE that sentiment...it's SO true!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

Please head on over to Kim's Blog for a listing of all the designers with samples today!  I have a coordinating little giftie I am working on for my daughter's teacher that I will share with you later in the week!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!
