Happy Birthday, Kim!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!

Today is a VERY special day! It is Kim van der Sanden’s Birthday, and the MFT Design Team is celebrating with a Birthday Bash for her!!! Kim is one of the kindest, most generous and genuine humans I have ever met, and I am blessed to have her as a friend!! LOVE you, Kim!!!

For my card for Kim, I just HAD to go with the classic MFT Color scheme of pink, black and white! Since I just CANNOT get enough of the Stitched Blooms Die-namics, I created lots of blooms from Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock, Smooth White Card Stock and Pink Lemonade Card Stock. LOVE!! The leaves were cut from Silver Sparkle Card Stock for some added shimmer.

The main panel of Smooth White Card Stock was cut using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics, and I added a strip of patterned paper from the Black & White Stripes Paper Pack, also cut with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics. I arranged the flowers and leaves, popping them up with Foam Tape, and then added the big “50 cut from Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock using the Little Numbers Die-namics. The sentiment panel was cut from Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock using the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics, and I stamped “A GREAT BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY” from Gift Card Greetings, using Versamark Ink and then heat embossed the sentiment with WOW White Embossing Powder. A trio of rhinestones completes the card!

  2. This birthday card for Kim looks stunning. The colors that have been used for the entire card are my favorite. The pastel pink, silver with black and white combo always look stunning. I too would be hosting a fun party for my mom’s birthday at a beautiful location that I've chosen among San Francisco venues and pink and black would be the color scheme. Hoping to find a suitable event venue Atlanta for that.
