Peace, Love & Cupcakes!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday again!! Here is a card I made for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge, TECC76!!

Now, I know it's only July...well, August really :) but I have decided to TRY and make a Christmas card EVERY Friday using Taylor's sketches as my starting point! I hope I can do it...I think I will be VERY happy in December if I can pull this off!!

For my card, I stamped this super sweet cuppie from Season's Sweetings from Taylored Expressions in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers. I stamped it once more so I could color and cut out the tree base so that it was "out of the box...er circle".

I framed cuppie with a Circle Nestie and added paper piercing around the edge. The papers are from the Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday Collection, and I used Saturday and Sunday! I really LOVE this paper!! I used Prism cardstock on this card in Rose Medium...LOVE this paper too!

The sentiment, "peace, love & cupcakes" is also from Season's Sweetings from Taylored Expressions!!

I finished off my card with some more piercing and a double ribbon of Very Vanilla Taffeta from SU! and Apple Satin ribbon from Taylored Expressions!! I used Foam Tape, also from Taylored Expressions, to pop up all my layers!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

An SUO Challenge To DIE For!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! Here is my card for today's Limited Supply Challenge on SCS, LSC231, which was to use a die cut as your focal image!

I was SUPER excited to play in this challenge, as I have not yet used (well, just once I think!), my Beautiful Butterflies die from SU!/Sizzix!! For my card today, I went SUO (Stampin' Up! Only!).

I used some yummy Razzleberry Lemonade DSP for my card as the background and for my butterflies. The butterflies were sponged with Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry to make them pop a bit.

I added a border of Melon Mambo punched with the Scallop Edge Punch and added some paper piercing. I used two ribbons, Whisper White Satin and Melon Mambo Polka Dot, and finished off my card with two Clear Rhinestone Brads to the top and bottom of my card!! The sentiment, Forver Friends, is from Beautiful Borders!

This was SO fun to make! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Beautiful Borders
Paper: Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Whisper White & Razzleberry Lemonade DSP
Ink: Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry

Another Prettie Peek for you!!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!! I have a Paper Pretties peek to share with you today!!

My card today features a gorgeous new set that was released on August 1 by Paper Pretties, Everyday Picnic! I love this set...it is SO fun to color!!

The picnic basket was stamped onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored with Copic Markers. I added piercing all around the panel.

If you LOVE to color like I do, especially with Copics, then this set is a must have!!! SO much fun!

The sentiment, "With You, Every Day's A Picnic" was framed in Large and Scallop Oval Punches, and I went with a color scheme of Soft Suede, Crushed Curry and White.

I finished off my card by running my Crushed Curry Panel through the Cuttlebug with the Textile Embossing Folder and I added some Whisper White Organza Ribbon.

Dont Forget!! On Saturday, August 1st Paper Pretties will be having their monthly Stampin In Your Jammies party!! The party starts at 8pm EST and will last until 10pm. My Heart!

Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday!! Here is my card for Tuesday's Color Challenge on SCS, CC229, Certainly Pixie Appeal, and Wednesday's Sketch Challenge, SC239!!

For my card, I used a GORGEOUS set from There She Goes called Act of Kindness!!

I stamped the branch in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Whisper White Cardstock and stamped two different flowers in Pixie Pink and Apricot Appeal. I added Black Vintage Brads to the centers of each flower.

For my Certainly Celery back panel, and the two Pixie Pink Panels, I stamped flowers in the corresponding ink colors for some interest. I used the "from the bottom of my heart" sentiment and only inked up the "my heart" portion of it. I punched it out with a Large Oval Punch and layered it onto a Scallop Oval Punch. I added a Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch of Apricot Appeal and TONS of piercing!!

I somehow forgot to put ribbon on this...but I like it without any!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Stamps: Act of Kindness from There She Goes
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery and Pixie Pink
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Pixie Pink, Apricot Appeal and Certainly Celery

Prettie Peek!

Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday! I have a Paper Pretties sneak peek to share with you today!!!

As some of you may know, Paper Pretties released Make A Splash back on June 1. Well, I am SO excited to tell you that Paper Pretties is releasing an add on set that coordinates with Make A Splash, and my card today features an image and sentiment from this new set!!

I stamped this super summery drink image onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers. It is framed in both circle punches and Scallop Circle Nesties, and I used my Crop-A-Dile to make the holes in the White Scallop Circle for some interest.

The patterned paper is two different patterns of Lime Rickey from Basic Grey, Tart & Tiny and Hoboken, and Melon Mambo matches this paper so wonderfully!!

I punched out my sentiment, Stay Cool, with my Word Window Punch and added some piercing for interest.

This fun set is just one that is being released on August 1!

On Saturday, August 1st Paper Pretties will be having their monthly Stampin In Your Jammies party!! The party starts at 8pm EST and will last until 10pm. Prettie {Favorite Embellie & A Peek} Wednesday!!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!! Two weeks ago, I challenged the Prettie Girls to create a card using their favorite embellishment, and they had to tell us what it is!!

My favorite embellishment are brads! I LOVE them! Small or large, mettalic or colors...I LOVE each and every one of em!!

For my card, I used Make A Splash Sophia from Paper Pretties, as well as a sneek peak of a new set being released on August 1!! It is an add on set for Make A Splash, and the beach ball and sentiment on my card are from this new set! LOVE them!!!!

Sophia and the beach ball are stamped onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored with Copic Markers. I added some White Gel Pen highlights for interest!

All the cardstock, patterned paper and ribbon on this card are from the July Key Ingredients from Taylored Expressions. This patterned paper, Early Bird from Cosmo Cricket, is my absolute FAVORITE paper ever!!!

My sentiment, "Summer Fun" was punched with the Word Window Punch and adhered under my double ribbons! I LOVE the look of this and have been doing it alot lately!!

Let's see what the other Prettie's have done with my challenge shall we? You can see all their Prettie goodness right here!!

Thanks For Your Kindness

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! Here is my card for today's Color Challenge on SCS, CC229, Certainly Pixie Appeal.

I made this card to send to the wonderful veterinarian that helped Chris and I this weekend when we made the painful decision to let our black lab, Sampson, go...

They were so comforting and amazing, and I really wanted them to know how much we appreciate their kindness during this difficult time.

For my card, I stamped this sweet little puppy from Beary Special by Taylored Expressions in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. The sentiment, "thanks for your kindness", also from Beary Special, was stamped onto my Apricot Appeal panel.

I ran all the colored panels through the Cuttlebug with the Harlequin Texturz Background from SU!/Sizzix and then sponged each panel with its corresponding color ink to bring out the texture. I added black brads by American Crafts and Whisper White Organza Ribbon.

There is piercing around my focal panel, and I brought in the Pixie Pink by stamping the heart from Beary Special onto Pixie Pink Cardstock and cut it out. I added a coat of Bubble Gum Shimmerz to the heart as well.

I just noticed that Beary Special is currently out of stock...you can click on "Request Re-Stock Notice" and you will receive an email when it is back in the store! Thanks!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Prettie Tuesday!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!! As it is Tuesday, I have another Paper Pretties creation to share with you!!

For my card today, I pulled out Bunny Slippers Sophia and got her inky (it's been awhile since she has seen ink!!), and I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock. I colored her with Copic Markers.

The layout on this is Danielle's Sketch Challenge, PWC62 from last Thursday! Danielle always comes up with the most awesome sketches!!!

I have been on a "use all my patterned paper" kick these days, so on this card, I used some DELISH paper from Cosmo Cricket (I think Cosmo Cricket may be my favorite paper "designer"), and this one is Saturday from the Girl Friday Collection (LOVE this!!).

I used Prism cardstock on this card, and I went with Rose Medium and Frosted Teal! I really LOVE the Prism cardstock...the colors are so yummy!!

I framed Sophia with Oval and Scallop Oval Nesties and added some piercing. I finished off my card with some White Brads by American Crafts, and stamped just part of the sentiment, Feel Better, and punched it with my Word Window Punch. Fun!!

On Saturday, August 1st Paper Pretties will be having their monthly Stampin In Your Jammies party!! The party starts at 8pm EST and will last until 10pm. We will be having three challenges, so be sure to come and play along!! Besides the challenges, chatter, and all around fun, we will also be releasing two new sets, Aloha Sophia to the public, and introducing our new Stamp Of The Month. I'm Still Here...and I have a TSG Blog Candy Winner!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday!!

I haven't posted since my TSG sneak peek, but I haven't forgotten!! I have a winner for the $15.00 There She Goes set too!! Congratulations to #5 (the number that random.org has chosen), which is Belinda of Bleu Bella Designs!!

Congratulations Belinda! Please email me at jc511@optonline.net so I can get your info!!

Some other news...I haven't stamped in days, and to be honest, right now, I really don't even want to...

On Saturday, Chris and I had to make the awful decision to put our faithful black lab, Sampson, to sleep, and I can barely stop crying even now. Even though we both know that we did the right thing, we both miss him so much, and the house, even with Meredith running around like the crazy 3 year old she is, seems too quiet...

There will be card coming soon...I promise!!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

There She Goes New Release Peek!!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday!!! Today I have a peek for you of an AWESOME new set being released tomorrow by There She Goes!! Wait for it...wait for it...(lol!!)...It is called Spread Your Wings!!! A butterfly set! WOOT!!! (Can you tell I am excited?)

Did you hop over here from my sweet (Maine loving) friend Joanne? Perfect! If not, please start the hop at Jessica's blog!!

I have two cards to share with you today using this fabulous new set!!!

For my first card, I really wanted a soft look, and I wanted to show that you can either color these images or stamp them in one color for a lovely soft look!! On this card, I went with a Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Black and White combo!!

I stamped one of the gorgeous butterflies in Pink Pirouette onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and then stamped the sentiment (which I LOVE) in Memento Tuxedo Black on top of the butterfly. I then stamped butterflies in Pink Pirouette onto Pink Pirouette Cardstock and again in Kiwi Kiss onto Kiwi Kiss Cardstock. The layout is loosely based on a SCS Sketch Challenge, SC162.

I finished off my card with some Whisper White Satin Ribbon which I made a ribbon knot of, Black Brads by American Crafts, and of course, paper piercing!!!

For my second card, I went a totally different route!! To start, I used Frosted Card Blank from Shortcuts, and I stamped several different butterflies from Spread Your Wings directly onto the card blank in Black Stazon. I then stamped the largest butterfly in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers.

I framed my butterfly in Rectangle Nestabilities, and the sentiment, "Spread Your Wings and Fly" is on a Large and Scallop Oval Punch.

I finished off my card with some paper piercing around the butterfly panel and some Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon along the top of the card!!! These Card Blanks are SUPER fun to use!!

Time for you to hop on over to the next stop on this party hop (say that 3 times fast!!), my SUPER fabu friend Julie Lacey!!!

Woo Hoo! Another Shortcut & Some Blog Candy!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday!! As promised, I had another There She Goes and Shortcuts project to share with you today! I am VERY excited about this!! This was FUN to make!!

As you may know, There She Goes is having an exciting week of projects showcasing the fabulous products from Shortcuts!!

Shortcuts, launched in June of 2008 & the sister site to SheetLoad of Cards, is dedicated making your papercrafting quicker and easier. Everybody likes a short cut every now and then!

Shortcuts has some AWESOME stuff on their site, like the Gift Card Holder Folder I showed you on Wednesday! They also have Clear & Frosted Card Blanks (which also come in Full Sheets!!), which is what I used today to make this uber cute (if I say so myself! LOL) clear card!!

These are UNBELIEVABLE to work with!! Shortcuts will help you to make fabulous clear and frosted cards...easily! Each of the stocks is made of a thick vinyl material. Think clear/frosted cardstock – none of that flimsy transparency material. Best of all the clear cards are fingerprint resistant. No more wearing white gloves while making your clear cards. Score!!

For my card, I started by stamping my favorite little snail from Slow and Steady by There She Goes in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock. I then masked him and stamped the grass behind him as well as the dragonfly (which I stamped twice), and the colored everything with my Copic Markers. The second dragonfly that I stamped was also colored with Copic Markers and then popped up on Foam Tape.

I framed my snail in Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities, and I used some DELISH patterned paper from the Girl Friday Collection from Cosmo Cricket (this paper is my latest addiction!). I used Prism Cardstock on my card in Frosted Teal, Rose Medium and Intense Kiwi.

I finished off my card with some brads that I picked up in Joannes and a double satin ribbon of gree and teal! I, of course, added some piercing before I called it done!!

This was ALOT of fun to make, and the Vinyl card base is SO sturdy! LOVE this!!!

These Shortcuts products are SO much fun and SOOOOO easy! Their ready-to-assemble-and-decorate products will help you create stunning creations in minutes. Make sure to drop by their blog for lots of inspiration from their wonderful design team. Two (2) lucky winners this week will each receive a $10 ShortCuts Gift Certificate!!

A Shortcut? Sign me up!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday! I am SOOO excited to share something UBER cool with you today!!

There She Goes is having an exciting week of samples showcasing the AWESOME producs from Shortcuts!!

Shortcuts, launched in June of 2008 & the sister site to SheetLoad of Cards, is dedicated making your papercrafting quicker and easier. Everybody likes a short cut every now and then!

The first Shortcuts product, available for purchase since July 1, 2008 was Gift Card Holder Folders, and that is what I used here today!

Let me tell you...it does NOT get any easier than this! The Gift Card Holder Folders come with handy directions (although it is SO easy you don't even really need them), and I was able to whip this up in no time at all!!!

For my Gift Card Holder Folder, I started by stamping this BEAUTIFUL flower from Bloom by There She Goes in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers. I framed my flower in Oval Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Old Olive ink to soften and define them.

I stamped the sentiment, "I appreciate your kindness", which is also from Bloom, in Memento Tuxedo Black directly onto my patterned paper, which is Lovely Flowers from SU! (A Level 3 Hostess Bundle).

I added paper piercing and finished off my card with a Whisper White Organdy Ribbon! I LOVE how this turned out and am no longer afraid of making gift card holders thanks to this AWESOME product!!

Shortcuts also has another FABULOUS new product that they offer, Clear and Frosted Card Blanks, which are the BOMB! They are also available in full sheets (8.5 X 11)! Check back Friday to see a project I made with this product!!

Happy Birthday!

Hi everyone! Happy, er, Wednesday! It is SUPER late and I know I am going to regret staying up when I have to get up for work, but I REALLY wanted to do today's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC238! What a FUN sketch!!

For my card, I used Fresh Flowers from Taylored Expressions!! I stamped the flowers twice onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them all with Copic Markers. I then cut out the leaves and flowers and adhered the leaves so that they are *out of the box* and popped up the flowers!! I dusted off my 1 1/4 & 1 3/8 Square Punches (Sheesh it has been AGES since I used those!!) to create the squares!

ALL the cardstock, patterned paper, ribbon and even the Lemon Yellow Liquid Pearls in the center of my flowers are from the July Key Ingredients from Taylored Expressions!! I ADORE this KI...it is for sure my favorite so far (although I say that each month!!)!

I added some piercing on both my patterned paper panel (Early Bird from Cosmo Cricket) as well as on my Frosted Teal Panel. The sentiment, Happy Birthday, is also from the Fresh Flowers stamp set from Taylored Expressions!!

I added a ribbon knot in the corner, the Lemon Yellow Liquid Pearls in the flower centers and then popped everything up with Foam Tape (the same "height" as SU! Dimensionals but WAY more cost effective for those of us that go through dimensionals like water! This is one of my must have stamp "tools").

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!!

Prettie Tuesday!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday! Tuesday around here means another Paper Pretties creation to share with you!!

Lately I have been trying to show a little love to my non-Sophia Paper Pretties stamps, so today I used one of the first Paper Pretties sets I ever bought, Sweets for the Sweet!!

I stamped this SUPER cute image onto Choice Buttercream cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black, and colored the image with Copic Markers. I framed my utensils with Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities. The sentiment, "A Mother's Love Has No Measure", is from Made With Love, also from Paper Pretties.

The patterned paper on this card is Delighted by My Minds Eye, and I used Desert Coral Medium and Suede Brown Dark cardstock, both by Prism.

I added tons of piercing, two borders of my Scallop Edge Punch in Suede Dark Brown, and I finished off my card with some dark brown grosgrain ribbon and Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon.

Sneak peeks start on Wednesday July 29th!! Hope to see you there!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

The July Key Ingredients Are Here!!!

Hi everyone!!! Happy Monday!! I am SOOOOOO beyond excited to share with you the newest Key Ingredients from Taylored Expressions! I know I say this ALL the time, but honestly, the July Key Ingredients are my ALL TIME FAVORITE Key Ingredients...hands down!!!

So...grab an iced latte and prepare yourself for a long post! I simply could NOT stop creating with these Key Ingredients, and while I probably could have posted some of these in later posts, I really wanted to show you all just how AWESOME and versatile the Key Ingredients are!! OK...ready? Here we go!!!

Many of you probably know that Taylor has recently moved. Well, her move was the inspiration for this month's Key Ingredients post! We all have created some kind of home decor item or something you can give someone who has just moved to a new home! Fun right??

I started my decorating this SUPER cute frame that I picked up at a local craft store by my house. I painted the edges with Mello Yellow Acrylic Paint from Delta and then adhered this AMAZING patterned paper to the frame! This is my favorite pattern of all the papers in the July Key Ingredients, all of which are from the Early Bird collection by Cosmo Cricket!!!

I stamped this SUPER cute cuppie from A Year of Sweets 2, and I then stamped the clouds from the Branching Out Coordinates, both in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock. I colored my entire scene with Copic Markers. I added some SUPER fun ric rac and delish satin ribbon, both from the July Key Ingredients, and then added the Chipboard Scallop Circle to the top corner, which I adorned with some more patterned paper from the kit, as well as some Liquid Pearls, which are also in this KI! Cool right??? Oh! I just want to mention that I colored my Chipboard with a Copic Marker! I wasn't sure it would work, so I tried it on the back first, but I am happy to report that it works like a charm...just another reason to LOVE my Copics!!

Aside from my frame, I also created a set of cards, housed in the new Rectangle Perfect Package now available at Taylored Expressions! These boxes are DREAMY and I LOVE how this set came together!!

Here is a picture of the box that I decorated! All of the papers, ribbons, chipboard and Liquid Pearls that you see on this are from the July Key Ingredients! The colors and patterns in this kit are just a DREAM!

For the box, I created a paneled look on the front to show off some of this delicious paper, and added paper piercing to each of the panels.

Once again, I colored my Chipboard Frame with a Copic Marker and I then stamped this beautiful flower from Fresh Flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers. My sentiment, "Thinking Of You" is from Branching Out, and I added piercing to the sentiment tag as well. I finished off the top of my box with a ribbon knot of this gorgeous green satin ribbon!!

Now, onto the cards! As you can see (and I warned you didn't I?) I had ALOT of fun with this KI! I also hope you can see how versatile these KI kits are, and just how much product you get! After creating all of these projects, I still have TONS of chipboard, Liquid Pearls, ribbon and papers left!! I won't go into ALL the details on the cards, I am sure you are sick of reading my post by now...so I will just show you them and tell you that each and every one of them use ONLY items from the July Key Ingredients and ONLY Taylored Expressions Stamps!!!

I also used four of my favorite Sketch Challenges from SCS for these cards, SC215, SC229, SC236 and SC237!!
You can see what some of the other Baker's Dozen girls have done with this AMAZING Key Ingredients right here!!

and of course, Taylor VanBruggen!!
Thanks so much for sticking around and reading my novel, er, post!! I really LOVE this KI and I am sure you will too! You can head on over to Taylored Expressions now to get your own July Key Ingredients...but hurry...I think I need to stock up on some more :) Did you know that you can sign up for the Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Subscription? It is available in either a 3 month subscription of a 6 month subscription, and it is worth every penny!!! You get each months KI automatically sent to your door!

4 In 1 Just Because!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday!! Here is my card for four SCS challenges...yes, FOUR!!!

This is for Monday's Try A New Technique Challenge, TLC229, Faux Grid (I already made a card for this challenge but I just LOVE this technique and wanted to make another!!), Tuesday's Color Challenge, CC227 Lavender Banana and Black and White, yesterday's Sketch Challenge, SC237, and today's Ways To Use It Challenge, WT227 Seeing Double!! I don't think I have every incorporated so many challenges into a card before!!!

For my card, I used a GORGEOUS new set from There She Goes called Bloom. This is probably one of my favorite stamps sets ever (yep...EVER!). I stamped the flowers onto Choice Snow White Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black. I then added my grid with a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker and a ruler.

I then colored my image, and certain boxes of my grid, with Copic Markers. I created a coordinating grid pattern on my Lavender Lace panel using my Scor-Pal. I highlighted the score lines VERY lightly with some Whisper White Craft Ink and a Sponge Dauber.

For my "Seeing Double" I used two ribbons, two brads and two oval punches!! Fun!!! I added some paper piercing around the edges and called it done! This card came together REALLY fast, which is always a surprise to me!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Christmas In July...TE Style!

Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesday! I am SOOOOOOO excited to show you something AWESOME today!! Welcome to the Christmas In July Blog Hop from some of the Baker's Dozen (and a guest or two!!)!!

Today we get to show you a FABULOUS new product in the Taylored Expressions Store!! Take a gander at the new rectangle Perfect Packages!!! These boxes ROCK my world!!!

The new Perfect Packages are just that...PERFECT! They a new rectangular size...perfect for cardmakers to present their A2 (standard size) cards in an elegant, professional way!

The boxes come flat for storage, and this also makes them SUPER easy to decorate! They are a heavy, smooth material, and they shut with a magnetic closure! The are delicious all on their own...but then when you decorate them...yummy!!

You can see here how I decorated the front "flap" of my box! It was SO easy and super fun too!!

For my box, I decorated it with some Ski Slope DSP from SU! and I used this SUPER sweet cuppie image from A Year of Sweets 3 from Taylored Expressions. I just love these cuppies...they all make me smile!!
I stamped my cuppie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock. I colored the entire scene with Copic Markers and then framed it with Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities.
The sentiment, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, is from A Year of Sweet Sentiments (my FAVORITE sentiment set ever!), and I used one of the Ribbon Tags Trio by Spellbinders to frame it! I LOVE the look of that with the Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon from SU!
Now...you can fit quite a few cards and envies in these boxes! You all know how much I LOVE my layers, and I was able to make 10 cards, 5 each of the cards below, and they ALL fit in my Perfect Package along with 10 envelopes!! Score!!

My first card is practically the same as the top of my Perfect Package. On my second set of cards, I used A Year Of Sweets 1 from Taylored Expressions, and once again, my sentiment is from A Year Of Sweet Sentiments!! Once again, I framed my cuppie with Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities, and on these, I added some Dazzling Diamonds to the "snow" with my Two Way Glue Pen!
Please go and hop around to these super talented stampers and see what they did with this AWESOME new product!
and our special guest Rachel!
Taylor is giving away 5 of these Perfect Packages so be sure to head on over to her blog and enter into the drawing!!
If this fab new product isn't enough...how about this? All Christmas stamps in the Taylored Expressions store are 20% off July 15-25!! Awesome right?

Prettie {random} Wednesday!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Prettie Wednesday!!

Two weeks ago, the SUPER talented (she crochets too!) Danielle Lounds challenged the Prettie Girls to quite an interesting challenge! We were to take a random item from our home and somehow incorporate it into my card! Can you see what I did? Probably not...so I will just tell you!!

To start, I wanted to give some love to some of my non-Sophia Paper Pretties stamps (yep...they do exist! We all just love our Sophias so much we tend to use them the most!), and so for my card, I used Look Who's Perky! As I was going with a coffee theme, I chose to use a coffee filter as my random item!!

I ran the coffee filter through the Cuttlebug with three layered flower dies from Provo Craft. I then sponged the edges of each layer VERY lightly with some Taken With Teal ink and then layered them, one on top of the other. I added a vintage button (from the above mentioned, uber fabulous Danielle Lounds) and used it as one of my three circle focal points!!

For my other two circles, I stamped the coffee mugs in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. All of the circles are 1 1/4 Circles layered on 1 3/8 Circles.

I stamped my sentiment, "How Ya Bean", which is also from Look Who's Perky, onto Choice Buttercream again and created a little tab for it. I added tons of piercing, three ribbon loops of Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon and called it done!!

The patterned paper is Lil' Man by Cosmo Cricket and I used Prism Cardstock in Intense Teal and Blush Red Dark!

You can see how the other Pretties defined "random" right here!!

It's my turn to issue a Prettie Challenge...and I am going to go SO easy on the Pretties! My challenge is to make a card and use your very FAVORITE embellishment on it...and then tell us why it is your favorite! Easy and fun right? :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Prettie Tuesday!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday! As you may know, every Tuesday I share a Paper Pretties creation with you, and today I gave Giving Thanks Sophia a bit of love!!

Giving Thanks Sophia is one of my favorite Sophias! She is just SO versatile! I had alot of fun making this card!

I started by stamping Sophia in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers.

All the patterned paper on this card is from Delighted by My Minds Eye, and I also used a piece of it to paper piece her dress. I used Prism Cardstock in Blush Red Medium and Frosted Teal. I am REALLY loving my Prism paper lately! It is so easy to match colors in non SU! patterned papers!

I added piercing around each and every panel, and a double ribbon of red satin and Bermuda Bay Polka Dot Ribbon. I finished off my card with two Vanilla Brads by American Crafts and framed my "Thank You" sentiment, also from Giving Thanks, in Large & Scallop Oval Punches.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Faux Grid SUO!

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday! Here is my card for today's Technique Lover's Challenge on SCS, TLC229 Faux Grid! What a super easy and super fun technique this is! I decided to go SUO on this card...my SU! stamps are not getting enough love from me lately!!

For my card, I started by stamping this big, gorgeous flower from Fifth Avenue Floral in Basic Black onto Whisper White Cardstock, and I added my grid lines with a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. I used my Grid Paper and a ruler and it was really simple to do!!

I watercolored my flower with Crushed Curry ink and an Aquapainter, and I also watercolored certain parts of my grid with Crushed Curry as well. The patterned paper is Razzleberry Lemonade DSP.

The sentiment, For You, is from Fresh Cuts, and I punched it with my Small Oval Punch and layered it with my Large Oval Punch and Scallop Oval Punch. I finished off my card with some piercing (shocker!) and my favorite ribbon, Whisper White Organza Ribbon!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!!

I Didn't Forget...

But I am sure I will! LOL!! Hi everyone! Happy Saturday! I am not sure about any of you, but I have a BAD habit of sending out cards REALLY late! That's why I always need some "belated" cards in my stash!!

Here is my card for today's Inspiration Challenge on SCS, IC188 Chasing Fireflies!! What a fun site to be inspired by! I was so inspired by this Butterfly Standard Quilted Sham. I LOVE the colors and pattern, and it reminded me a bit of this delish Urban Praire paper from Basic Grey.
My layout is Jen's Sketch For You To Try from today, SFYTT, and I pulled all my colors right from this paper. I used Vibrant Teal, Crabapple Medium and Intense Kiwi cardstock all from Prism.
For my card, I used one of my favorite stamps, Slow & Steady by There She Goes! This little guy is SO much fun to color! I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. I LOVE how the sentiment curves just like my circle nestie! That is one of my FAVORITE things about clear acrylic stamps...you can "mold" them any way you want!!
I added tons of piercing on my card, and finished it off with this gorgeous crocheted flower that my friend Danielle Lounds made me! I added a button, also from Danielle (thanks girlie!!) to the center of the flower with some Linen Thread!
Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Christmas in July!

Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday!!

Here is my card for two challenges, yesterday's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC236, and today's Wayts To Use It Challenge, WT226, Christmas in July!

For my card, I used three different sets from Taylored Expressions!! The branch is from Branching Out, the ornaments hanging from the branch are from Branching Out Coordinates, and the sentiment is from my favorite sentiment set ever, A Year of Sweet Sentiments!!

I started by stamping the branch and ornaments in Choice Snow White with Memento Tuxedo Black, and colored them all with Copic Markers. The ornaments all got a coat of shine with my Sakura Gelly Roll pen...they really sparkle irl!

All the patterned paper on my card is from Ski Slope DSP from SU! Still my favorite holiday paper!!

I punched out my sentiment with my Word Window Punch and cut off one edge so it lined up with my white border. Each and every layer has some piercing on it, but I just pierced the corners of my focal panel for a bit of interest. ALL the layers are popped up on Foam Tape from Taylored Expressions...I use the 1/16 ", and it is the same height as SU! Dimensionals but WAAAAAAY more cost effective!!!

I must admit, I LOVE the bow/button combo! My SUPER talented friend Joanne Basile always ROCKS this look, so I thought I would give it a go! Thanks for the inspiration girl!!

This was a SUPER fun card to make...and one Christmas card done already...SCORE!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Branching Out, Branching Out Coordinates and A Year Of Sweet Sentiments, all from Taylored Expressions
Paper: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Choice Snow White & Ski Slope DSP
