Friendship!

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday (almost Sunday here in New York!!).

Here is my card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS, FS108, which honors Kelly H! Kelly has an AMAZING gallery, and to be honest, it SUPER hard to choose just one card...so I may do another one tomorrow :)

I chose to case Kelly's "Her" card from her His and Hers Cards!! I LOVE her layout, so I kept that, but here is what I changed:

1. Different Stamps
2. Different Colors
3. Added piercing
4. Added layers
5. Different Ribbon
6. Added a sentiment

For my card, I used a GORGEOUS new set from There She Goes, Nature of Friendship (This is being released tonight and it is AWESOME!!!!). I stamped the design in Chocolate Chip onto Baja Breeze cardstock and stamped the sentiment on the same panel.

To create my other panel, I used two stamps from Nature of Frienship and created a pattern with them, which I think will qualify my card for Friday's Limited Supply Challenge on SCS, LSC209, to create your own designer paper!!

I added texture to my background with the Harlequin Texturz Background from SU!, and all of my Baja Breeze panels were sponged with Baja Breeze ink. I added some yummy ribbon from Valet Ribbon Originals, tons of piercing and three Chestnut Brads from American Crafts!! I was SO excited to bust out my Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch for the first time...fun!! I added two coats of Candlelight Shimmerz to the butterflies for some shine.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Totally Inspired!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday! Here is my card for today's Inspiration Challenge on SCS, IC169, Room Service Home!!

I was so TOTALLY inspired by this Stylish Trifold Planner and I knew just what I wanted to do once I saw this!! I LOVE these colors together (SO kate spade...no? I LOVE kate spade) and you all know I love me some Regal Rose!!

I kept the layout of the planner as well as the colors. I used the Kiwi Kiss paper from Rockabilly for the top portion, and Regal Rose DSP from Patterns Pack II for the bottom!! Once I had my layers together, I used my Spiral Punch to add that "planner" feel!!

I LOVE the new Trendy Trees set, and in my happy little world, trees come in these colors...OK? LOL!!

I have to say, I REALLY tried not to paper pierce on this card...seriously...but it just looked SO plain without it...so I just HAD to!!!

I added some Vintage Brads on the bottom of my card, and once again, I didn't use any ribbon (gasp!!!).

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Regal Rose, Whisper White, Basic Black, Rockabilly DSP and Regal Rose DSP from Patterns Pack II

If Friends Were Flowers...

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday! I LOVE Fridays!! WOO HOO!!

Here is my card for today's Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge, TECC57!!!

For my card, I used this SUPER cute cuppie from A Year of Sweets 2 from Taylored Expressions! The sentiment, also from Taylored Expressions, is from A Year of Sweet Sentiments (totally the BEST sentiment set ever...I LOVE it!!) I stamped my cuppie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice White Cardstock (from Taylored Expressions again...can you tell I placed a HUGE order? grin!). I colored my cuppie in Copic Markers (and this paper is the BOMB-schnizzle for Copics...let me just tell ya!). I added some Crystal Transparent Glitter from Art Institute Glitter (the best glitter...eva! LOL!!) with my Two Way Glue Pen onto the cherry on top of cuppie as well as all the flowers and the butterfly.

The DELICIOUS paper is from the Cheeky Collection - Abby by Making Memories, which my wonderful friend and fellow Prettie Girl Jules sent me! This paper is AWESOME and totally up my alley...it's CHOCK full of gorgeous patterns that all have Regal Rose! (Regal Rose is my FAV color...ever!!).

I framed my focal image with Rectangle Nestabilities, and I did some piercing around my strip of flowered dp. I finished off my card with two White Brads by American Crafts. Lately I find myself not wanted to use ribbon on my cards...is that weird??? Hmmm...may have to get some help for that!! LOL!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

I have another There She Goes sneak peek for you today, and although it is VERY hard to choose, this may be my favorite set of the There She Goes release, which is TOMORROW! WOO HOO!!

This card features a GORGEOUS new set called The Nature of Friendship!! The sentiments and images in this set are simply beautiful and so timeless! I am in love!!

For this card, I used some Urban Oasis DSP!! As soon as I saw this set I knew this was the paper I wanted to use!!

I stamped the flowers and butterflies in Memento Tuxedo Black, Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss onto a piece of Sahara Sand CS. I framed my image using my circle nestabilities and added some piercing! (Notice how I pierced the ... after Thinking Of You...LOVE that!!) I added a scallop border on one side with my Scallop Edge Punch in Kiwi Kiss. I added a Baja Breeze Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and some rhinestones on the bottom!! Now, this is what I LOVE about the There She Goes stamps...they are SO elegant and versatile, it takes no time at all to make a card you will love!!

Love You This Much!!!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! I have a Prettie Peek for you today! Get a load of this cutie pie! Meet Love You This Much Cooper!!! Isn't he SO super cute! He is being released on Sunday, March 1 at the Paper Pretties Release!! Also being released on March 1 is Bunny Hop Sophia!! Cool right? I can't wait!!

I colored Cooper with my Copic Markers, and I wanted to keep this as *boyish* as I could, so I didn't use any ribbon!! The flowers I used are a Cuttlebug die which I have NO idea of the name!! I added a Rich Regal Brad in Brocade Blue in the center of each flower.

All the DSP on this is Brocade Blue from Patterns Pack II. I wanted to keep a monochromatic look to this. I pierced only the sentiment panel (aren't ya proud of me?)!!

I followed Danielle's Prettie Weekly Challenge #40, PWC40, which is this FABULOUS sketch!! Danielle has a challenge each and every week, and when you participate, you have a chance to a $5.00 gift certificate to the Prettie Boutique! You can find all of the challenges right here!!

Some of the other Pretties have peeked today too! You can check them out here!!

Snail Mail!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday!!

I have another There She Goes sneak peek for you today!! How cute is this!!! This set is called Slow & Steady, and I just have to say, it is SOOOOO much fun to color!!!

I did ALOT of masking on this card in order to place the grass and the clouds behind the snail, and I just think it is so super cute!!! I colored the grass and the snail with Copic Markers, and I used a cloud template and a sponge dauber with Tempting Turquoise ink to create the cloud background. I framed the image in Rectangle Nestabilities and added a bit of piercing!

The DSP is Pink Flamingo from SU! and I ran my Green Galore center panel through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. I added a double ribbon of White Grosgrain and added some Black Gingham Ribbon for a bit of pop!! I used my 1/4 Inch Circle Punch to frame the Green Galore brads on the bottom, and layered my sentiment on circle and scallop circle punches!!

The inside of the card features Holidays Galore, another set being released by There She Goes on Saturday!!! I don't know what happened to my pic of the inside ;), but I will put it back on when I get home from work tonight!!

I am going to get TONS of use out of this set...I always find it funny that the card maker in the family is always the one that sends out her cards late (blushing).

To Thine Own Self Be Kind!!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday...again (are you all getting sick of me yet??? LOL!!)

Here is my card for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC217!! For my card, I used one of the Sale-A-Bration sets, Botanical Blooms (I had to mount it first...no time...no time!!).

I stamped the flowers in Basic Black onto Whisper White cardstock. I then watercolored them with Cameo Coral and Kiwi Kiss inks and an Aquapainter.

I stamped the sentiment on Whisper White as well, and I punched it out with my Round Tab Punch, and adhered it under my focal panel. This punch is the perfect shape for this sentiment...LOVE that!!

I embossed both Kiwi Kiss panels with the Harlequin Texturz Background, and I used my Sponge Dauber with Kiwi Kiss ink to highlight the pattern.

I finished this off with some piercing (aren't my piercing holes nice and straight? LOVING my new Paper Piercing Template!!) and two White Brads from the 5/16 Neutrals Brads. Every little bit of this card is SUO (even the dimensionals!!!).

Thanks so much for stopping by...again!! :)

Hi everyone!!! Happy Wednesday!!! I have alot going on today, so I hope you check each post for all sorts of fun stuff!!!

Did you see my post from yesterday, or perhaps the There She Goes blog? Well, I am SUPAH excited to tell you that Jessica has invited me to join the Trendsetters, the There She Goes Design Team!!

The first set that I have the pleasure of previewing for you from There She Goes is called Blessings!! This set is AMAZING...I cannot WAIT for you to see all of the gorgeous stamps in this set! My Irish husband said it was the best stamp set in my entire "Stamp Chalet"....that sure says something!!!

For this card, I started by stamping the cross twice in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Stampers Select White Cardstock. I framed one with my oval nestabilities, and the other I colored with my Copic Markers, cut it out and popped it up. It is VERY dimensional in real life!! I also gave it two coats of Candlelight Shimmerz, and it is soooooo very shimmery in real life also!!

I used Rockabilly DSP for this card, and I created panels alternating the Basic Black and Kiwi Kiss striped papers. I LOVE this sentiment (actually, I LOVE all the sentiments in this set!!), and I really wanted it to pop, so I created a cut edge and popped up one side of it. I also highlighted the *Live* and *Long* with a Copic Marker.

I finished off the card with some Silver 5/16 Brads and just a little bit of piercing!!!

This set is called Eggstra Special, and I LOVE it!!! Wait until you see the other stamps in this set...ADORABLE!!

For my card, I stamped all four eggs and colored them with my Copic Markers. I then cut them all out and added Crystal Transaparent Glitter to all of them with my Two Way Glue Pen. They are SUPER sparkly!!!

I mounted them on 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 Squares which were run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. I also embossed the Chocolate Chip panel with the same embossing folder!! I used some Sweet Always DSP on this card, and I added piercing all around the edges.

Two weeks ago, I challenged the Prettie girls to a "Rule Of One" challenge!! One layer (gasp!!), One Image Stamp (easy peasy with gorgeous Sophia!), One Sentiment and One Embellishment (sorry Jess!)!!

For my card, I started with a piece of PTI White Cardstock, and I stamped Gliding By in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then stamped the sentiment in the same ink!! I LOVE splitting up sentiments so you can line them up differently...makes me happy!!

Sophia was colored with Copic Markers (have I mentioned how much I LOVE my Copic Markers lately? I have...Ok..sorry!) and I finished off the card with my ONE embellishment, this gorgeous pink polka dot grosgrain ribbon!!

This card is on it's way to , I hope she likes it :)

Now, I have a feeling that the Pretties weren't jumping for joy with this challenge, but I KNOW that each and every Prettie ROCKED this challenge...these gals are SERIOUSLY talented!!

Hi everyone! Happy Prettie Tuesday!!

For my card today, I used Danielle's color challenge from two weeks ago, PWC39! This is SUCH an awesome challenge!! Her challenge was to use Kraft, Whisper White and a Mystery Color! For my mystery color, I chose Baja Breeze...first just cause I love it, and second, I wanted to use this yummy Baja Breeze Satin Ribbon from the Valet Ribbon Originals!!

I used Sophia Ballerina from Paper Pretties for this card (isn't she SO awesome! LOVE her!!!) and I colored her with Copic Markers!! I added two coats of Candlelight Shimmerz onto her dance skirt to give it a litte, er, shimmerz...LOL!!!

My Kraft background panel was embossed with the Flourish Texturz Background from SU! and my sentiment is on a Baja Breeze cut out of Sizzlits Lots of Tags (LOVE these!!!). I added a highlight of Whisper White to the textured background to give it some softness.

I finished off this card with the aforementioned Baja Breeze Satin Ribbon from Valet Ribbon Originals and some adhesive half pearls from Kaiser!! I also added some white gel pen highlights...and look ma...NO piercing!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!

Here is my card for today's Color Challenge on SCS, CC207, Summer Kiwi Pies and for Julee's Mojo Monday Challenge, Mojo75!!

For my card, I started with my DSP, I used the Kiwi Kiss pattern from Rockabilly, and the Summer Sun pattern from Pink Flamingo. I found these colors to be a bit crazy, so I matted everything in Basic Black. I ran my rectangle panel that is under the focal image through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.

I added some black brads from American Crafts (love these brads!!). I stamped the butterfly from Fluttering By from Verve Stamps in Kiwi Kiss, and using my Two Way Glue Pen, I added some Crystal Transparent Glitter from Art Institute Glitter (love this glitter!!). After stamping my sentiment and punching it with my oval punches, I ran it through the Cuttlebug again with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. I used my Scallop Edge Punch for the scalloped border.

Thanks SO much for stopping by...I know there are like a gazillion posts around here today :)

A Trendsetter??? Moi?????

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday! So...I have some SUPER exciting news to share today!! I am now a Trendsetter...that is, part of the Design Team at There She Goes!! HOW AWESOME IS THAT I ASK??? Pretty awesome I think :)

The new name for the There She Goes Design Team are the Trendsetters, and I am honored that Jessica thinks that I fit the bill!! I am SUPER excited to show samples of the newest TSG release, and if you check back here tomorrow, you will see a peek of the first set!!

Jesssica had a little challenge and people got to ask the Trendsetters some questions about their stamping (and personal!!) lives!! I am so excited to participate now that I am "official son" LOL!! (Perhaps all you Rob & Big fans out there get that???)
Anywho...onto the questions!!!

1. What do you typically start a project with? What's picked first: stamps, embellishments, DP, colors.....?
For me, I typically pick my stamps first, then I choose my dp (which is the fun part for me) and pick the colors based on what dp I choose. Embellies are always last for me, but I love em'.

2. Do you give away your cards, sell them, send them or hoard them? Or all of the above??(blushing here) I mostly hoard mine...not for any particular reason...I think I am just too lazy to actually go to the post office to have the correct postage calculated (my cards weigh alot...alot alot). When I do give them away, it is mostly to my family, my mom and mother in law save them all, so that makes me feel good (sometimes the thought of my cards in a garbage pail keeps me up at night...LOL!) I do sell them sometimes, usually at work when a holiday is coming up. So, I guess all of the above! (wow...would have been easier to just say all of the above huh?)

3. If you could design your own stamp or stamp set, what would it be?
Wowsa...this is a hard one...probably a Twilight themed set, since I am totally Twilight/Edward obsessed, it would be SUPER fun to make some Twilight cards for the rest of my Twilight Obsessed stamping pals!

4. Where do you get your inspiration?
Generally, I am inspired by the challenges both on SCS and on my favorite blogs (Mojo Monday, Jen's SFYTT, Beate's WSC), sketches are my favorite. I am also inspired by DP...I have tons of it and I just LOVE to use it on my cards.

5. How do you balance your stamping time with your personal time/work/kids/etc.?
Personal time? What's that? LOL! Well, I work full time, and I have an almost three year old daughter, so all of my stamping happens at night. Once my little one is in bed, I head downstairs and start stamping...now, I like coffee...alot, so with a few cups I can get quite a few hours of stamping in...of course the mornings aren't fun...

6. What is your favorite embellishment?
Brads! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE em!

7. What is something that not a lot of people know about you?
Something not alot of people know about me...let me think...(I am trying not to think of something too racy...LOL!) Probably that I am a HUGE HUGE HUGE Bon Jovi fan (and I don't care what anyone says!!!). I have LOVED them for over 20 years now (my Dad took me to my first BJ concert in 1986) and I am known as Bon Jodi by my friends and family. Perhaps something more interesting...I have a tattoo...not alot of people know that...

8. On average how long does it take to create one of these fabulous cards we see each week??I would say, on average, it takes me about an hour to create a card...sometimes longer, depending on if I am using a challenge as a jumping off point, or just creating something from scratch.

9. What is your favorite coloring medium?
Right now, Copic Markers are my favorite, but I still LOVE to watercolor with my SU! inks and an Aquapainter. Whenever I make an SUO card, I watercolor with my inks!

10. What time of day do you prefer to do your creating?
Well, I would PREFER to stamp all day long, but since the mortgage has to be paid and my child needs to be raised, it's at night once I am home from work and she is in bed!!
Want to know all about the other Trendsetters? Of course you do...well, I have conveniently linked them all below...so go check it out!! (LOL! Can you tell I am feeling a little sassy...must be all that trendsetting!! LOL!!)
Jessie (yep...my girl Knightrone!!)
Thanks SO much for stopping by...and a special thank you and big stamping hug to Jessica for giving me this opportunity! Thanks Jess!!!

Under The Weather???

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!! Here is my card for Taylor's Cupcake Challeng from this past Friday, TECC56!

I LOVE Taylor's sketches and I LOVE my Copics, so this is what I came up with!! I used this super cute Cuppie from A Year of Sweets 1 and the sentiment is from A Year of Sweet Sentiments, both from Taylored Expressions!!

For my card, I started by stamping my Cuppie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock (This is the paper from Taylored Expressions and I LOVE LOVE LOVE how my Copics look on this paper! When I first got my Copics I didn't like them at all, until I found out it's all about practice and the PAPER you use...this paper is totally Choice (I am channeling Ferris Bueller right there...get it???? Bueller...Bueller...) I colored the entire image with my Copic Markers and added some Diamond Stickles to the raindrops and to the puddle that the duck is paddling around in!

I used Bashful Blue DSP from the old Prints Pack, and Garden Green DSP from Patterns Pack II. I framed my White Brads from American Crafts with my 1/2 inch Circle Punch, and added some Bashful Blue Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. I added some piercing, and notice how straight it is!!! YEAH! I FINALLY got my new Paper Piercing Tool and Mat...it was on backorder...

OH...check out my new Edward Pic Of The Week....YUMMY!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Do you like to Stamp and Smile???

Well, I sure do!! Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!! I have some very exciting news! Jennifer Meyer has her own new stamp company, Stamps and Smiles! She has asked me to be a Guest Designer for her this month and I am so thrilled!!

Today we are featuring the Cuppy Love set! How caaa-ute is this??? I LOVE this cuppy holding her (his?) little baby cuppy, and I am giving this card to my daughter Meredith!! She is almost 3 and LOVES getting cards from Mommy!!

For this card, I colored Cuppy Love with my Copic Markers, and I added some shimmer to the *icing* with some Crystal Transparent Glitter from Art Institute Glitter (can you tell I just LOVE this stuff!!). I framed Cuppy Love with my circle nesties and added some piercing (of course!!).

I used the retired SU! Petals and Paisley DSP (still one of my favs...I really need to figure out how to get some more of this!!), and I ran the turquoise polka dot panel through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. I punched out my sentiment with my small oval punch and layered it on a large oval punch. I added some Ice Rhinestone Brads to the end for some more sparkle!! I finished off my card with some Pretty In Pink Taffeta Ribbon and some Sherbert Ribbon Originals!!

Attention! Hut, two, three, four...

LOL! Hi everyone! Happy Sunday!!

Here is my card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS, FS107, which honors Jami aka SgtStamper!!

I LOVE Jami's gallery and she is super sweet too!!

I chose to case her gorgeous Happiness Makers card!! I LOVE her clean yet elegant layout and how the focal point is the quote on vellum!!

I kept her layout and also used vellum, but changed the following:

1. Used different stamps
2. Used different colors and papers
3. Changed the brad placement (had to cover the adhesive you could see through the vellum!!)
4. Stamped an image behind my quote.

For my card, I used Jeremiah 29.11 from Verve Stamps. I needed a communion card for my niece and I think this quote is just perfect for a communion. I used Chocolate Chip and Pink Pirouette for my card, and the panels of pink are Bella Rose DSP which I used the Damask Texturz Background on. After running it through my bug, I used a sponge dauber and highlighted the embossed design with Pink Pirouette ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Inspired...sorta...

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday!! Here is my card for today's Inspiration Challenge on SCS, IC168, Flutter!! You know when you sit down to make a card, and it makes a complete 180 from where you started? Well, that's what happened to me on this card!!! My inspiration is this Chinese Blossoms pillow...I hope you can see that I was inspired by the colors and the flowers!!

For this card, I used the Flowers of Happiness set from There She Goes and stamped the flower in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Stampers Select White Cardstock from Papertrey. I colored the flower with Copic Markers, and I added a white brad from American Crafts in the flower center.

All the DSP on this card is Sweet Always, and I stamped this beautiful sentiment, also from the Flowers of Happiness set, directly onto the DSP. I framed my flower with my circle nesties and added a Pink Pirouette Striped Grosgrain Ribbon!!

Check out my SUPER cute new watermark!! My friend Dawn Easton aka TreasureOiler whipped this up for me SO fast! Thanks Dawn! I LOVE it!! I just HAD to have a watermark with a coffee cup on it!!

Before I go, I just want to show you all a card that my niece Emily made today! Her mom posted it to her SCS gallery and you can see the card right here. Emily is only 7 and I think she totally ROCKED this card!! Feel free to leave her a comment, I know she would be thrilled!!

A Trifecta!!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! I just HAD to title my card a Trifecta, as it is for three challenges, and my friend Dina is always taking about her Trifecta of Men (not what you think...it's Edward, Justin Timberlake and Jason Morgan from GH...yep, she is CRAZY!!...doesn't she know that Edward is MINE???)

Anyway, this card is for three challenges, today's Viva La Verve Sketch with a Twist of Acetate, VLVFeb04, yesterdays Ways To Use it Challenge on SCS, WT206, and today's Limited Supply Challenge on SCS, LSC208, Designer Green.
For this card, I used the Meditations set from Verve Stamps for my focal panel, and I stamped it so it looks like a piece of dp. The sentiment is from the Uplifting Phrases set, also from Verve Stamps.
The stripes come in on the Rockabilly Designer Series Paper, and I guess the green does too!! My two embellishments are the white brads and the ribbon!!
My acetate is over the You're Fabulous sentiment, although you can't really see it, I promise it is there!!
Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Prettie Colorful Wednesday!!!

Hi there everyone!! Happy Prettie Wednesday!!

Two weeks ago, the fabu Jessie Rone challenged the Prettie Girls to a color challenge! We were to use her newest favorite colors, Rose Red, Cameo Coral and Kiwi Kiss!! Cool right??

OK...so, now that I kicked myself for NOT ordering Raspberry Tart DSP, I decided to use Simply Special from Paper Pretties for this card. I pulled out some old Rose Red DSP from Prints Sampler, and I used it to paper piece the watering can. I then framed my image with some Circle Nestabilites. The rest of the image was colored with Copic Markers.

I ran both the GP White and Cameo Coral panels through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. I added some delish Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon to my vertical panel, and finished off the card with some Rich Regals Brads.

This was SUCH a fun color combo! My card is on it's way to Jackie P! I hope she likes it!! You can see the other colorful Prettie Creations here!!

Thinking Of You!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!!

Here is my card for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC216!! One of my dearest friends is in the hospital with pneumonia, so I wanted to make her a card to let her know I am thinking about her!!

For this card, I used the new Trendy Trees set. This is the first time I am getting this inky and I just LOVE it!! The DSP is Rockabilly, and seriously, it is PAINFUL to cut into this paper...it is SO gorgeous (in my opinion!!).

The texture on my Whisper White panel was created with the Small Dots Texturz Background (I LOVE these!!), and I created my half circles with the Coluzzle.

I added a scallop border under my horizontal panel using my Scallop Edge Punch, and I stamped the sentiment BEFORE using the Texturz Plate.

I finished off the card with some Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon and Chocolate Chip Brads!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Prettie Tuesday!!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!

Being it's Tuesday, I have another Prettie creation to share with you :)

On this card, I used the GORGEOUS, newest Stamp of The Month from Paper Pretties, Sophia Ballerina!!! I totally and utterly LOVE her!!!

So, I went with my gut on this card, and used a Pink, Black & White combo (I have no idea why, but these colors seem MADE for this Sophia!!)

I started out by coloring Sophia Ballerina with my Copic Markers, and then framed her with my Oval Nestablilites. I ran my Pretty In Pink panel through the Cuttlebug with the Textile Embossing Folder (I find this folder SO elegant!!). I chose to use the "Dancing is dreaming with your feet" sentiment (so beautiful!!) and I popped it up on a Large and Wide Oval Punch, and added some adhesive pearls to the sides.

The yummy ribbon is from May Arts (I think), and I used the last bit of it on this card!! I added some piercing to the horizontal panel, and I added some Dazzling Diamonds to her dance skirt!!

Did you know that there is a Paper Pretties Weekly Challenge? Yeppers! There sure is!! Danielle hosts a Prettie Challenge each and every week (called the PWC) and you can check The Paper Clip each week to see Jessica's summary of the challenge!! You can even win a $5.00 Gift Certificate to the Prettie Boutique!! Woo Hoo!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!!

Wowsa!! I LOVE these colors!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday! Here is my card for today's Color Challenge on SCS, CC206, More Rosey Kiwis.

I must admit, when I saw today's combo, I was a little scared...but now that I actually made a card with them, I really LOVE these colors together!!!

For this card, I started by stamped my Whisper White panel with the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set in Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss & More Mustard. I then stamped the flower and watercolored it in More Mustard, and the stamens (is that what they are called???) in Rose Red. I added some Dazzling Diamonds to the stamens (???) with my Two Way Glue Pen.

The sentiment is from Beautiful Borders and I punched it with my Small Oval Punch and matted it with my Large Oval Punch. I added two White Brads from the 5/16 Neutrals Brads (Thank you SU!!!) to the ends of the ovals. My Kiwi Kiss panel was embossed with the Small Dots Texturz Background, and my middle panel uses the new Eyelet Border Punch. I finished off the card with some Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon and of course, some piercing!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!!

Here is my card for today's Mojo Monday Sketch, Mojo74. For this card, I used some new Urban Oasis DSP from SU! (LOVE this stuff!!!). For my focal panel I stamped the sentiment from Hundred Hearts (this set is SO not just a Valentine's Day set!!) in Memento Tuxedo Ink onto a piece of GP White, and I stamped the butterfly from Fluttering By in Baja Breeze behind the sentiment.

On my circular panel I stamped the sentiment from Uplifting Phrases and punched it out with my 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 Circle Punches. I added some paper piercing around my focal panel and the circle sentiment panel.

I finished off my card with some black brads from American Crafts and some gorgeous Baja Breeze Satin Ribbon from Valet Ribbon Originals.

Go Julie!!! Go Julie!!!

Hi everyone!!! Happy Sunday!!!

Here is my card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS, FS106, JulieMLacey!!! Woo Hoo!!

I am SOOOOO excited that Julie is today's Featured Stamper! Not only is she one of my pals, but golly, can that girl stamp!!! I swear, half of her gallery is in my favorites...seriously!!!

OK...so I decided to case Julie's Kindess card...it's so gorgeous isn't it???

As per the rules of the FS Challenge, I changed:

1. Used a different stamp set;
2. Changed the colors (slightly) and the DP;
3. Added a textured background; and
4. Used different ribbons.

For my card, I used Fifth Avenue Floral (LOVE this set!!), and I stamped the flower twice with Basic Black Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. I then watercolored the flower with Baja Breeze Ink and my Aquapainter, cut the flower out and popped it up on dimensionals.

The DSP is from Bella Rose, and I created the texture on my background with the Harlequin Texturz Background (LOVE these!!!). I used some GORGEOUS ribbon from Valet Ribbon Originals and finished off my card with two Chocolate Chip Corduroy Button Brads and a row of piercing!!

I had SO much fun casing Julie and using some of my new SU! goodies!! Congratulations Julie! Enjoy your WELL DESERVED day!!!

Luck Of The Irish!!

LOL! That's what it feels like anyway!! Hi everyone! Happy Friday!!

I was SOOOOOO excited when Taylor (yes...THE Taylor) asked me to create a card for the Cupcake Sampler for the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge, TECC55, today!! Talk about the luck of the Irish (or Italian...in my case! LOL!!)

Anywho...for this FABULOUS sketch, I pulled out this SUPER cute cuppy from A Year of Sweets 1 and cut him out with my Circle Nestabilities!!! He is colored with Copic Markers and there is just the merest touch of Crystal Transaparent Glitter on the *gold* in his pot!!

All the DSP on this card is the retired Wild Wasabi DSP from Prints Pack! The sentiment, from A Year Of Sweet Sentiments, was stamped on the bottom panel in Memento Tuxedo Black ink!! I added a double bow of Whisper White Grosgrain and Wild Wasabi Double Stitched Ribbon, and added two white brads by American Crafts!!

I hope you like my card! I had SO much fun making it! Thanks for this Sweet Treat Taylor!!!

Make sure you head on over to Taylor's Blog to play along with the sketch!!!

Viva La Verve!!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday...still!! I am in a stampin' kind of mood tonight!! Here is my card for this week's Viva La Verve Challenge, VLVFeb03, a sketch with a monochromatic twist!!

I LOVE the sketch's Amber comes up with for these challenges, and today's is no exception! For my monochromatic card, I chose to use Basic Black and Kraft!! All the DSP is Kraft from Patterns Pack from the last SU! Catty.

Each and every panel is pierced (can't help it!!), and I used this gorgeous sentiment from Hundred Hearts for my focal panel! Instead of an oval panel, I chose to use a cut out butterfly from the Fluttering By set, both of the sets are from Verve Stamps!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Streeeeetch Yourself!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!!! Here is my project for today's Limited Supply Challenge on SCS, LSC207, Stretch Yourself!!

For this challenge, we were to use two or more "things" that are a "stretch" for us...this was hard for me!!! One thing I SO do not normally do is make boxes! I ALWAYS screw up the scoring!! So, I decided to STRETCH myself and make one! I decided to make a Gable Box and I followed this awesome tutorial on SCS right here. This was actually SUPER easy to make!!

Another stretch for me was to NOT pierce...seriously, I had to put my paper piercing tool and template in the other room while I was making this (OK...not really, but you get the idea right??? LOL).

I also used some Silver Cord on this...never used it before! I had to have it and NEVER like it on anything I make! On this, I threaded it through the silver eyelets on either side of my sentiment panel!

I used two new SAB sets on this card, Polka Dot Punches (I stamped the heart in Riding Hood Red all over the box, but I don't think you can tell from the pic!) and Yummy for my sentiment. I then cut that sucker out...that took a little bit of time!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Yummy and Polka Dot Punches
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Whisper White & Bella Rose DSP
Ink: Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Silver Eyelets, Silver Cord, Wide Oval Punch, Crop-A-Dile, Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon and Dimensionals

You Rock My World!!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday again!!

Here is my card for this past Monday's Mojo Monday Sketch, Mojo73! I made this card for my husband's birthday, which is Valentine's Day!!

I saw this stamp by Inkadinkado last weekend and just had to pick it up!! Chris is totally a tattoo kind of guy and I just know he is going to LOVE this card!! He has a few tattoos (and maybe I have one too...wink wink), and one of them, with our daughter's name on it, totally reminds me of this image!! (SIDE NOTE: I also bought this stamp because it looks like the Bon Jovi logo...SO my scene...in certain circles I am still referred to as *Bon Jodi* LOL!!).

I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto GP Cardstock, and colored it with Copic Markers. The DSP is the new Rockabilly by SU!...and to be honest, it was PAINFUL to cut into this paper...I just want to stare at it!!!

The sentiment, Rock My World, is from the Uplifting Phrases from Verve Stamps...and it's perfect as Chris totally Rocks My World!!! (OK...quit gagging now).

Well...enough chatter from me! Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Tattoo Frame by Inkadinkado and Uplifting Phrases by Verve Stamps
Paper: Real Red, Basic Black, GP White & Rockabilly DSP
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Copic Markers, Slot Punch, 5/16 Neutrals Brad (Silver), Jersey Ribbon Originals and Dimensionals

Get Well Soon!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Here is my card for today's Ways To Use It Challenge on SCS, WT205, Fabric! We were to use fabric on a card...hmmmm.

So, I was a tad stumped on this one, until I remembered my Twill Tape!! I used the largest size of Twill Tape on this card, and I stamped the Get Well Soon sentiment from Thoughts & Prayers in Chocolate Chip onto the Twill Tape.

My focal image is this gorgeous tree from Thoughts & Prayers (I now want the Decor Elements of this tree for my den!!), and I inked it up with Chocolate Chip and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers. I added some piercing around the focal panel as it looked a little plain to me.

The background is Urban Oasis DSP, which I used the Small Dots Texturz plate on. The sentiment was stamped onto Kiwi Kiss, which I then cut out with the Sizzlits Lots Of Tags die and then used the Small Dots Texturz plate on as well (These Texturz Plates are BY FAR my fav part of my SU! order!!). I added some Chocolate Chip Brads (can you BELIEVE we have SU! Chocolate Chip Brads??? Totally AWESOME!!) and I also sponged the edges of my sentiment tag and all the Kiwi panels.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White & Urban Oasis DSP
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chip & Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers

OK...just one more for tonight :)

Hi again!! I am so inspired by my new SU! goodies that I just had to make another card! This one is again for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC215! I still need another Valentine's Day card (or two), so for this card, I pulled out my Happy Heart Day set!!!

OK...so I started with some spankin' new Pink Flamingo DSP (LOVE this paper!!!), and I paired up two different patterns. I used the Large Dots Texturz Plate on my Cameo Coral panel and highlighted the dots a bit with some Cameo Coral ink and a Sponge Dauber.

I stamped this little cutie in Basic Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock, and I watercolored the image with my SU! inks and an Aquapainter. I then added some Dazzling Diamonds to the heart and finished it off with a pink Flower Brad! I used my White Gel Pen to add a little dot to the center of the brad. I LOVE the tag sentiment in this set, so I pulled out my neglected tag punch and added that to my focal panel. The ribbon is threaded through a Jumbo Eyelet which I attached with my Crop-A-Dile.

I added tons of piercing (Hi...I'm Jodi...I am addicted to piercing), and some FABULOUS White Brads from the 5/16 Brads (I am SO excited that SU! gave us WHITE Brads!! WOO HOO!!).

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Happy Heart Day
Paper: Cameo Coral, Real Red, Whisper White & Pink Flamingo DSP
Ink: Basic Black, Cameo Coral, Real Red and Creamy Caramel
Accessories: Paper Piercing Tool and Template, Tag Punch, Crop-A-Dile, Jumbo Eyelet, Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, White 5/16 Brads, Flower Brad, Two Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Aquapainter, Large Dots Texturz Plate and Dimensionals

Happy Happy...Joy Joy!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesday!!! Woo Hoo!!

OK...I am a little excited! My SU! order arrived today and I could not WAIT to dive in and make a card using my new goodies!!!

I made this card for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC215!! I started off with some new GORGEOUS Urban Oasis DSP. For my middle panel, and this is my most FAVORITE part, I used the new Sizzix Texturz on a piece of Baja Breeze!!!! SIDE NOTE: OK...so I read all the forums that you could use these Texturz in the Cuttlebug (I do not have the Big Shot), but that it would not be as crisp as a CB Embossing Folder. Needless to say, I was a tad bit nervous that it wouldn't work....but guess what! The first time, it embossed like a CHAMP!! I am SOOOOOOOOOOO excited about that!! Here is the *sandwich* I used...from the bottom up:
A Plate
Texturz Plate - Harlequin side up
Piece of Baja Breeze Cardstock
Tan Embossing Mat (I use this with my Nesties)
Three pieces of cardboard (I found that the cardboard that comes with the DSP packs is PERFECT for this, but start off with two at first...my Bug gets tons of use and I can accomodate all three...I don't want to be responsible for any broken Bugs or B Plates...like I broke my friend Ann's the other night (blushing)
B Plate
Using this sandwich I achieved a fabulous embossed piece of cardstock!!

Ok...back to my card :) After creating my Harlequin panel, I used a Sponge Dauber with some Baja Breeze Ink and just ran it lightly over the pattern to really make it pop!!

My focal panel is a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and I stamped the flowers from Fifth Avenue Floral in Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss & Basic Grey. I then stamped the sentiment right over the flowers in Basic Black ink.

I finished off the card with the GORGEOUS black ribbon from Valet Ribbon Originals, Two Silver Brads from the Neutrals 5/16 collection (I will NOT hoard these...I will NOT hoard these...), and of course, tons of piercing!!!

I had SO much fun making this card!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral
Paper: Baja Breeze, Basic Black, Whisper White & Urban Oasis DSP
Ink: Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey and Basic Black
