Fangs or Fur?

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!! Just a few more hours until Eclipse! WOOOOOOOOT!!! (can you tell I am a touch excited???)

I am also SOOOO very excited to be participating in today's Skipping Stones Design Blog Hop, and to be hopping along with the UBER talented Skipping Stones Design Team!!!

Today, I have the honor of sharing peeks of an AB-mazing (lol!!!) new set with you called Fangs or Fur, and it's available TODAY at Skipping Stones Design!! If you are OBSESSED with all things Twilight (like moi!), then this set is a MUST have in your stamp collection!

There are two sets being released today from Skipping Stones Design, and if you just happened upon my blog, you’ll want to go back to the beginning at Skipping Stones Design. You should have arrived from Kandi's blog.

Combined with the blog hop today, it's also Skipping Stones Sketch Tuesday which means the Design Team is showcasing another great creation from Teri Anderson. We'd love for you to play along with the sketch. Just remember to use the keywords SSD031 if you are uploading to any online galleries or link your card at the Skipping Stones Blog.

I have two cards to share with you today because I just could NOT put this set down! For my first card, I just had to use this Jacob image (holy ABS Batman!), and the layout is SC286, and I used some So Sophie paper from My Minds Eye. I added some Chocolate Linen Thread for a bit of an earthy feel, and my darn watermark is SO huge (sorry about that!) that it blocks the most AWESOME sentiment ever..."Team Edward, until Jacob takes off his shirt"...LOVE it!!

For my second card, I used the image of Edward and I (Ok, ok...it's Bella...but I AM a clumsy brunette), and it's hard to see in the photograph, but I added some Candle Light Shimmerz to Edward...they are in the meadow so he must be sparkling!! I thought this Green At Heart paper from Basic Grey was reminiscent of the meadow, and I pulled the colors right from the paper! I LOVE the sentiment on this one too, "Irrevocably, Unconditionally In Love with you"...sigh...

The next stop along the hop is at Michelle's Blog!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! You'll be seeing ALOT more of this set around here!! LOL!!

So Glad We're Friends!

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!!

Here is my card for today's challenge on the There She Goes Blog, TSG61, Going Green! This challenge is brought to us by the Trendsetter of the Week, Danielle! It's a two step challenge, your card must incorporate the color green AND some type of plant (flowers, trees, topiaries, leaves, etc.)...SO fun!

For my card, I started with this past Saturday's sketch from The Sweet Stop, SSS62, and I used one of the GORGEOUS new sets from There She Goes, Art Is The Window!

I stamped the flower box in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar Crest White and colored the entire image with Copic Markers. I added Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to the center of each flower.

All the patterned paper is from Green At Heart by Basic Grey, and I used Old Olive Cardstock which I ran through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. All the layers were sewn on my sewing machine and I added some Whisper White Sheer Organdy Ribbon and created the bow with the Bow Easy. I put a white brad in each corner and stamped the sentiment, "So glad we're friends", also from Art Is The Window, onto the focal panel.

We would LOVE you to play along with today's challenge! Create a card using the color green and some kind of plant and link your creation to the TSG61 post on the There She Goes Blog! One lucky participant will win a $5.00 Gift Certificate to the There She Goes Store!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Happy "BEE" Day!

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday!!

I am trying to add to my stash of Birthday Cards...I know I say this all the time but I NEVER seem to have one on hand when I need it.

For my card today, I started with this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC286! I used the SUPER cute BEEday Huggabug, designed by the AMAZING Christy Croll, for Stamping Bella!

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with Copic Markers. I cut out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and this time, somehow refrained from sponging the edges. I layered it onto another piece of Bella's Bestest Paper for some dimension.

The sentiment, "happy 'BEE' day", also from BEEday Huggabug, was also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and I made a little tab for it that I adhered to the focal panel. I added some Shimmerz Blingz in Pixie Dust to her wings and two pink rhinestones to the tips of her antennae.

All the patterned paper on my card is from Ducks In A Row by October Afternoon, and I finished off my card with some Whisper White Satin Ribbon and four White Brads to each corner.

This Friday's Bellarific Challenge is to make a square card! Make sure to email your submission to Emily by Thursday evening to have a chance at winning Bella Bucks!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Happy Birthday!

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday! Ahhh...sweet, sweet Saturday! I have had SUCH a long week at work with practically NO stamping time and NO blog hopping time at all! I hope to rectify both of these this weekend!!

Here is my card for today's SFYTT! Another GORGEOUS sketch from Jen!!

For my card, I pulled out some of my Verve stamps! I have OODLES of them and hardly ever have to time just play! Needless to say, I had tons of fun making this card!!

I used Big Wish by Verve for my card and stamped the cake in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar Crest White and colored it with Copic Markers. I added some hints of shimmer with a Clear Spica Glitter Pen to the candles, icing and the flower. The flower was also stamped twice, colored with Copics and then cut out and popped up on dimensionals.

All the patterned paper is from Ducks In A Row by October Afternoon, and I used Cool Caribbean and White Cardstock. I sewed each layer on my sewing machine and added white brads. I also added some yummy satin ribbon that I knotted instead of making a bow. The sentiment, "Happy Birthday" is also from Big Wish, and I cut it out and embossed/layered it with Circle Nestabilities.

Check out what the AMAZING SFYTT sisters have done with this sketch right here!!

Have A Purrrrfect Day!

Hi everyone! Happy Bellarific Friday and HAPPY BIRTHDAY EM!!!

After a brief va-ca, Bellarific Friday is back!!! Here is my card for today's sketch challenge!!

For my card, I stamped one of my all time favorite Bellas, Kittycatabella from Stamping Bella, in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Bella's Bestest Cream Paper and colored her with Copic Markers. If I had this Bella's figure (oh...how I wish!), this could be me! I have four cats, and if it weren't for my husband keeping me in line, I would have a house full! LOL!!

I cut her out and embossed the panel with Oval Nestabilities and then layered it onto Scallop Oval Nestabilities.

All of the patterned paper on my card is from Fly A Kite by October Afternoon after matting each layer in Bella's Bestest Cream and Intense Teal, I sewed each panel on my sewing machine.

The sentiment, "have a purrrrrfect day" is also from Stamping Bella, and I created a little tab for it. I attached it to my card with a crocheted flower that my mom made for me and a sparkly teal brad in the center!!

Make sure to head on over to Bloggabella and comment on today's Bellarific Friday post! One lucky commenter will win Bella Bucks! WOOT!! Send Emily some Birthday Wishes while you are there!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by and Em, I hope you have a purrrrrrfect day!!

Center of Attention Product Spotlight - Liquid Adhesives

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!!!

Today, part of the Taylored Expressions Baker's Dozen are sharing with you the latest Center of Attention Product Spotlight, Liquid Adhesives!!

For my projects today, I used Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive and I must tell you...I am in L-O-V-E!

Normally, my glue of choice is Tombow Mono-Mulit Liquid Glue, so trying another liquid adhesive wasn't a huge jump for me.

The first thing that impressed me with the Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive is the precision tip. It's perfect for those times that you just need a touch of glue on a project.

</ div <>
I have two projects to share with you today, and I used the Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive on both. For my first project, I decorated a frame that I have had in my "to be altered" drawer forever. I started by painting the frame and then adding a coat of glitter to the entire frame.

I then stamped the palm tree, surfboard and flippers, all from Hangin' Out At The Beach by Taylored Expressions, in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored them all with Copic Markers. I stamped the sun from Garden Party Blooms, also from Taylored Expressions, in Colorbox Yellow Ochre Chalk Ink.

I cut out each of the images and now, this is where the magic of Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive became obvious to me!

I was able to adhere ALL of the images directly to my glittered frame and it adhered SO quickly!! Try that with most other glues and it just won't stick to the glitter (believe me...I have tried!). Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive even adhered the strip of cork I added to the bottom to look like sand!

For the inside of my frame, I stamped the sentiment from Hangin' Out At The Beach, "Life is like a wave. You can't change the way it breaks but you can change the way you ride it" in Memento Tuxedo Black onto some Early Bird patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket. I love this sentiment and I plan on putting this on my desk at work...the perfect place for an inspirational saying!

I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge, MTSC79, as the layout for my matching card.

I used the same sentiment from Hangin' Out At The Beach and I cut it out and embossed it with Rectangle Nestabilities. I stamped the flower from Hangin' Out At The Beach by inking it up with Colorbox Yellow Ochre Chalk Ink and then stamping off once before stamping it onto my focal panel.
I added some more glitter to the surfboard and finished it off with glittery brads, satin ribbon and sewing on the panels!

Check out what the other gals have done with different liquid adhesives right here:
Charmaine Ikach Donna Baker Karen Giron Melissa Sauls
and of course, Taylor Vanbruggen

Head on over to Taylored Expressions and stock up on your liquid adhesives!! For a limited time (June 24- June 27) all liquid adhesives are on sale for 15% off! It's the perfect time to stock up and try something new!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

The patterned paper, which is where my color scheme came from, is Lil' Robot by My Minds Eye, and I went with a Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise & White combo. I created a scallop border with the Apron Lace Punch and I chose to use the sentiment, "Imagine", because I know Dina is having a blast picking out clothes, nursery furniture, etc... After I had the image colored, I added a coat of Illuminate Smooch to the window. It's quite hard to see in the photograph, but it looks pretty cool in real life!

I cut out and embossed the image with Square Nestabillities and then layered it on Scallop Square Nestabilities. I punched out the bird and layered it with my Circle Punches (wow...haven't used those in ages!!!).

The sentiment, "Thank you for all that you do" is also from Art Is The Window, and I cut it out and embossed it with one of the Tags Trio by Spellbinders. I attached it with some Cream Twill Ribbon, a button and some chocolate twine. All the paper on my card is from Crate Paper.

Taylored Expressions Blast From The Past Blog Hop!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!! Welcome to the Taylored Expressions Blast From The Past Blog Hop!!!

I LOVE the Blast From The Past Blog Hop as it gives me a chance to give some love to some of my first Taylored Expressions stamp sets!!

For my card, I started with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC74 (what a FUN sketch!) and it was perfect for the stamp I had in mind!!

I used one of the first Taylored Expressions sets I ever purchased, A Year of Sweets 2 and I also used A Year of Sweet Sentiments!! I actually bought these two sets together with A Year of Sweets 1 and A Year of Sweets 3 all at once, and my obsession with Taylored Expressions began!!

I stamped the 4th of July Cuppie (I {heart} Cuppie!) from A Year of Sweets 2 in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and colored him with Copic Markers. I cut him out and embossed him with Square Nestabilities.

The patterned paper is Old Glory by We R Memory Keepers, and I sewed each panel on my sewing machine. The sentiment, "Happy 4th of July", was also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and I cut it out and embossed it with the largest tag in the Tags Trio by Spellbinders. Both the tag and the focal panel were sponged with Memento Canteloupe.

I added a ribbon and button to attach my sentiment tag, and the fireworks all got a coating of Stickles (I used Christmas Red, Waterfall and Crystal Stickles) and I called it done!!

Check out all the rest of the participants in today's Blast From The Past Blog Hop!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Sweet Pea!

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!!

Here is a card I made using the sketch from this past Saturday from The Sweet Stop, SSS61!! I flipped the sketch for my card.

I used the SUPER adorable Bella Baby Bubble Bath by Stamping Bella, for my card, and I stamped her (I made her a girl for my card!) in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with Copic Markers.

I cut out the image and embossed it with Oval Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Memento Desert Sand. I added some Crystal Stickles to all the bubbles...it's so cute in real life!!

I layered the image on Scallop Nestabilities cut from Suede Brown Medium, and the patterned paper is BeLoved by My Minds Eye. The scallops are white felt cut with the Jumbo Scallops Die-Namics. I stamped the sentiment, "sweet pea", also from Stamping Bella, directly onto the patterned paper and added a bow of Pink Pirouette Striped ribbon to the top of my focal image.

Bellarific Friday is back this week and it's a sketch! I hope you all play along! Make sure to email your creation to Emily by Thursday evening to be entered for a chance to win Bella Bucks!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's AMAZING Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) as well as for the Double Dare Card Challenge, DDCC80, Bee Happy!!

For my card, I used my beloved Garden Party Critters from Taylored Expressions (I {heart} this set!!), and stamped the bee hive in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and colored it with Copic Markers.

I cut it out and embossed it with Circle Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe. The sentiment, "Don't Worry Bee Happy" is also from Garden Party Critters and I also cut it out and sponged it. I created the rounded corners on the bottom panel with the Corner Chomper...this tool ROCKS my world!

ALL the cardstock, patterned paper and ribbon on my card are from the Garden Party Project Pantry Kit, which is still available from Taylored Expressions. I have used this kit SO much! It's PERFECT for all of your summery cards! Once it's gone, it's gone, so get yours now!

Howdy!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!!!

Although we are still on vacation from Bellarific Friday, I do have a Stamping Bella creation to share with you today!!
For my card today, I finally inked up the SUPER cute Turtle Tots - Cowboy from Stamping Bella! I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Bella's Bestest Cream Paper and colored him with Copic Markers.

I cut him out and embossed him with Oval Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe & Memento Tangelo for a bit of dimension.

The patterned paper is from Fly A Kite by October Afternoon, which I seem to have used quite often this week! I stamped the sentiment, "howdy", onto Bella's Bestest Cream Paper and created a little tag that I attached to the focal image.

I kept the layout super simple, and the embellishments as well. I used some Natural Rope Twine and attached a little star (like the sheriff star...get it? LOL), and some Chocolate Brads and called it done!

Next week Bellarific Friday is back in action!! The challenge is a sketch that I created (hope you like it...I am NOT a sketch creator by any means!), so make sure you send your cards to Emily by Thursday, June 24 to be entered for some Bella Bucks!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety
Garden Button Collection

Green Thumb mini stamp set (FREE, $9 value)

I had SO much fun making this card! I started by stamping Who's That Gardening Girl? in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and colored the entire image with Copic Markers.

All of the patterned paper on my card is from Garden Variety by Cosmo Cricket and I used the yellow pattern to paper piece Who's That Girl's shirt. I created a bow with the Bow Easy and attached a button threaded with twine to finish it off.

The sentiment, "Time To Bloom" is from the Green Thumb mini stamp set, and I cut it out with the medium die of the Tags Trio by Spellbinders.

I HAD to add a sun to make my garden grow, and I used the FABULOUS Die-Namics Sushine first on the Garden Variety patterned paper for the actual sun and then again with Candle Glow Dark for the center. I also embossed the center with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder for more interest.

Blowing Kisses!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!

I picked up this DARLING Emma Blowing Kisses with my last MFT order (and all the Die-Namics seemed to have found their way to my stamp room as well!) and I couldn't wait to get her inky!!

Every morning when I leave for work, my daughter, Meredith, stands at the front door blowing me kisses as I drive away. When I saw Emma Blowing Kisses I knew I had to add her to my collection and make a card for my little one!!

I stamped Emma in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and colored her with Copic Markers. Her dress was paper pieced with the same patterned paper I used on the card, Fly A Kite by October Afternoon.

I used the same pattern to create all of the scallops using Die-Namics Jumbo Scallop Die and after I had them adhered, I just fluffed each layer up a bit. LOVE LOVE LOVE these scallops!

The grid pattern paper is also from Fly A Kite by October Afternoon and I added a bit of sewing with my sewing machine. I finished this off with a simple sentiment tag that reads "Blowing Kisses", also from Emma Blowing Kisses, and three Chocolate Brads.

Super simple but super fun to create! I can't wait to leave this for my little love! I know she is going to love it!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! I hope to see you later on this evening...say, around 10 ish? I have a little something else to share with you...wink wink!!

The Voice of the Sea

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!!

Here is my card for today's challenge on the There She Goes Blog, TSG59, Worn, Torn & Distressed!!!

For my card, I started with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch from yesterday, SSSC73!!!

I started by cutting and embossing a piece of Neenah Solar Crest White with Circle Nestabilities. I then created a frame for it using post it notes and Circle Nestabilities. I attached the frame and stamped my image. I did it this way so that I had a clean white border on my panel.

For my card, I used the GORGEOUS new set, By the Sea, from There She Goes! This set is SO beautiful and it includes 37 stamps!!!

I colored the entire image with Copic Markers and I added some Waterfall Stickles to the water and Rock Candy Stickles to the sand. I then stamped the sentiment, "The voice of the sea speaks to the soul", also from By The Sea, onto my focal panel.

For the colors on my card, I wanted to go soft and serene, just like the ocean, so I used Kraft, Suede Brown Medium and Iced Teal. I ran all the panels through the Cuttlebug with the Stars Embossing Folder as I think these stars look like nautical stars. I distressed each panel, sponged each panel and then sewed each panel on my sewing machine.

I kept the embellishments simple, opting for three Vintage Brads and some Natural Rope Twine. I knotted the twine for a more "ocean" feeling.

Head on over to the There She Goes Blog and play along with today's challenge! One lucky participant will win a $5.00 Gift Certificate to the There She Goes Store!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Happy Birthday Saucy!!!

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my SUPER sweet friend (almost my twin!) Karen aka Saucy!!! Woot!!!

Today, many of Karen's friends have all decided to get together and surprise her with a Birthday Hop!! The first stop on this AMAZING hop is the wonderful and sweet Dana's (and for today, Leslie's!) Blog and I hope you came here from there! If not, head on over and start the hop from the beginning!!!

I met Karen in real life last March for the first time, and we have been friends since! We were both at CHA in CA this past January and were roomies! We barely slept each night, but rather stayed up, talked and laughed!!!

A few months ago, while I was on vacation in Maine, Karen came up for the day and we had a BLAST! It was the first time my mom met her and she was shocked to see how similar we are!!!

For my card for Karen, I used Partygirlabella from Stamping Bella!! I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Bellas Bestest Cream and colored her with Copic Markers. I cut her out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities, but I first cut out the tops of the balloons so that they were "out of the box". I sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe and added some Martha Stewart Fine Crystal Glitter to the balloons, cupcake & party hat!

The sentiment, "happy birthday" is also from Stamping Bella and I cut it out and embossed it with Oval Nestabilities, sponged it as well and layered it on Scallop Oval Nestabilities. The patterned paper is from Report Card by October Afternoon and I finished off my card with some satin ribbon and a bow created with the Bow Easy!! The focal panel is on an angle...something I have to force myself to do, but I always love the look of in the end!!

The next stop on this FAB Birthday Hop is over at my sweet and uber talented friend Karen's Blog!!

Saucy, Happy Birthday my sweet friend! I hope you have a WONDERFUL day and that all of your wishes come true! Love ya girlie!! MWAH!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Happy Birthday Taylor!!

** PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR
MY SFYTT POST **

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!! Today is a VERY special day...it's Taylor's Birthday! Woo Hoo!!!

Quite a few of us have gotten together to celebrate Taylor's Birthday with a Birthday Blog Hop!

For my card for my sweet friend Taylor, I began with her Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge from yesterday, TESC117!

When creating a card for Taylor, I just KNEW it had to have a cupcake! Taylor is the cupcake Queen!!! For my card, I used one of my favorite Taylored Expressions sets, For The Love Of Cupcakes!!

I stamped the stand and cupcake in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock. I then stamped the cupcake again on Choice Buttercream, and then a third time on some Fly A Kite paper from October Afternoon. I colored all of the images with Copic Markers, paper pieced the cupcake liner with the patterned paper, cut it out and popped it up on Foam Tape. I added some Adirondeck Espresso Pearls to the top of the cupcake...YUMMY!

All of the patterned paper on my card is from Fly A Kite by October Afternoon, and I sewed each layer on my sewing machine. I created the scallop border on the bottom with the Apron Lace Punch by Fiskars.

The sentiment, "Wishing you a birthday filled with cupcakes!" is also from For The Love Of Cupcakes, and I just created a little tab for it as per the sketch!

Coconuts!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!!

Today, as usual, Jen has another FABULOUS Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) for us all!!! Yippee!!!

Most of the SFYTT Sisters today have used stamps from Skipping Stones Design on their creations!!! Skipping Stones Design has very generously sponsored today's SFYTT, and their stamps are SO fun!!

For my card, I used the TOTALLY adorable Tropical Birthday! This set is SO cute and the sentiment cracks me up!!

I started by stamping the hula girl from Tropical Birthday in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and colored it with Copic Markers. I cut her out with Rectangle Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe and Memento Tangelo.

The patterned paper is a mix of Thrift Shop and Fly A Kite, both from October Afternoon, and Once I had them laid out, I sewed each panel on my sewing machine. The sentiment, "May your coconuts never hang lower than your grass skirt", also from Tropical Birthday, was stamped onto the patterned paper and then cut out and embossed with Circle Nestabilities.

I also used Circle Nestabilities to create the circles under my vanilla brads, and I finished this off with some Hemp Twine under my focal panel and going around the main panel.

Check out what the AMAZING SFYTT sisters have done with this sketch right here!!

MWAH (Kisses)!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!!!

Although Bellarific Friday is on a vacation, I still have a Stamping Bella card to share with you today!!

I made this card using this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC284! I used to participate in SO many challenges at SCS, but due to time (or lack thereof), I try to at the very least participate in the Sketch Challenge, which is my favorite!!

For my card, I stamped Missmatch Ketto by Stamping Bella (LOVE her!) in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with Copic Markers. I cut her out and embossed the panel with Oval Nestabilities. I added some Crystal Stickles to her crown, skirt and all the hearts on her outfit.

The sentiment, "MWAH (Kisses)" is also from Stamping Bella and I cut it and added little tags to my focal image. The patterned paper is Urban Praire by Basic Grey (I love this paper with the Kettos!) and all of the solid cardstock panels were embossed with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. I added two black twinkles to the top two corners and finished this one off with some DELISH aqua striped ribbon I have been hoarding!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Gardeners Know The Best Dirt!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!!

Here is a card I created using this week's Card Positioning Systems sketch, CPS170!! I had WAY to much fun making this card!

Tons of new MFT goodies were calling my name and I just HAD to sit down and make a card!!!

I started by stamping this DARLING new PI girl, Mud Buddies, in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar Crest Cream and I colored her with Copic Markers. I cut out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe. I then added two rows of My Favorite Felt - Earth Girl cut from Die-Namics Fresh Cut Grass. I am in LOVE with Die-Namics!!! I finished off the panel with two red brads.

I used two different patterns of My Minds Eye Quite Contrary paper on my card, both polka dot patterns but I like how they work together. The scallops are My Favorite Felt - Banana Split cut from Jumbo Scallop Die-Namics. I stamped the sentiment, "Gardeners Know The Best Dirt", also from Mud Buddies, on this panel. I simply inked up one portion at a time and lined it up so it went across the panel.

I cut out the sun with some of the same My Minds Eye Quite Contrary paper using the Die-Namics Sunshine, and cut the center, also using Die-Namics Sunshine, using Prism Candlelight Medium. I ran the center panel through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder and sponged the edges of both with Memento Canteloupe to make them pop a bit.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

No Embellies???

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!!

Here is a card I created for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge from yesterday, MTSC77!!! What a fun sketch!!!

For my card, I used Umbrella Circle by Stamping Bella, and I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Bella's Bestest Paper and colored it with Copic Markers.

All of the patterned paper I used on my card is from Thrift Shop by October Afternoon, and I paper pieced the umbrella with the same polka dot pattern.

To be honest, something is bothering me...I think it may be the pattern I used to paper piece with...I may have to re-do this one someday!!

I sewed all of the edges with my sewing machine, and I used not ONE embellishment! I didn't even put a sentiment on...that way I can use this as a get well or a shower card! Bonus!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Paper: Frosted Teal, Black, Bella's Bestest and Thrift Shop by October Afternoon

She Wore An...

Itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! This song has been in my head...you can see why!!

Here is a card I created for yesterday's Mojo Monday Sketch, MOJO142!! Normally any panel that isn't straight scares me, but I love this sketch!!

For my card, I used the AWESOME new Hangin' Out At The Beach set from Taylored Expressions! This set just may be my favorite Taylored Expressions set so far!!

I started by stamping the bikini in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and I colored it with Copic Markers. I cut out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe.

I added two ribbon tabs of Black Gingham Ribbon, and I adhered an AMAZING Jenni Bowlin Vintage Cream Button (I LOOOOOOVE these buttons!) and I also added a Black Gingham Ribbon to it!!

The patterned paper is from Early Bird by Cosmo Cricket and I stamped the sentiment, "itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini", also from Hangin' Out At The Beach, in Memento Tuxedo Black directly onto the patterned paper. A scallop border of black finishes this one off!!
