Poppies!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday and Happy Memorial Day!!!

Here is my card for today's challenge at the There She Goes Blog, TSG57, which is hosted by one of my bestest pals, Jessie!!! Jessie's challenge is a color challenge of Tangerine, Baja & Grey! I must say, when I saw this challenge I was a bit afraid (lol), but these colors ROCK together!!!

For my card, I started with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC71, and the large oval focal panel was just PERFECT for this image from the gorgeous Poppies set from There She Goes!!

I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. I LOVE these flowers...they are SO much fun to color! I then cut them out and embossed the panel with Oval Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe. I stamped the word "Poppies", which is also from Poppies (duh!) next to the flowers.

My Baja Breeze panel was embossed with the Fleur de Lis Embossing Folder and my Tangerine Tango panel was embossed with the Swiss Dots Embossing Panel. I added orange Twinkles on my focal image and between each scallop, which was created with the Jumbo Scallop Die-Namics. I finished this one off with Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon and bow, created with the Bow Easy!

Head on over to the There She Goes Blog and play along with Jessie's challenge! One lucky participent will win a $5.00 Gift Certificate to the There She Goes Store! Awesome news with a FAB new release!!

Thanks SO much for looking!!

Stamping Bella Sneak Peek!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday again!!

I am back with a second post today (you can see my other post here, or just scroll down) and I have a sneak peek of an AMAZING new stamp available TOMORROW at Stamping Bella! WOOT!!

Check out this ADORABLE new stamp from Stamping Bella by Mo Manning! I believe she is called Kissy and I must admit...I totally love her!!

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with Copic Markers. I used my White Gel Pen to add highlights to the flowers, and also to highlight the baby's breath in the bouquets. After I colored this sweetie, I added some Twinkles to her crown and made her entire skirt super shimmery using some Martha Stewart glitter!!!

The layout is yesterday's sketch at The Sweet Stop, SSS58, and I used some yummy Georgia Pacific DSP from SU! I have just about reached the end of my stash of this DSP...sob!! I sewed my layers on my sewing machine, added a Pink Pirouette Striped Ribbon and finished this one off with two white brads in each opposite corner.

Make sure to head on over to Stamping Bella tomorrow to see all of the new releases!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!

Fun In The Sun!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday! Sigh...I LOVE three day weekends!!!

I have had a bit of stampy time this weekend (yeah!!!), so I thought I would have some fun and play along with the June 2010 MFT Guest Designer Contest!

This month's theme is Some Like It Hot, and this card was swimming around in my head all night! I couldn't wait to get up and create it!!

For my card, I knew I wanted to use some the AWESOME new Cork from MFT (which I would bet is quite a "hot" product!!) as the sand in my beach scene. I simply cut a bit of a "wavy" piece of cork to look like sand dunes.

The patterned paper is all from Love Me Do by My Minds Eye. I LOVE the cloudy background and knew I wanted to use it on my card. After assembling the background of my scene, I stamped this DARLING PI girl from Beach Bum from MFT in Mememto Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar Crest White and colored her with Copic Markers. I also stamped the bucket, shovel and flag the same way, and using my Copic Multi Liner, I made the flag an American Flag in honor of Memorial Day.

I stamped (and this is my favorite part!!), the sand castle from Beach Bum in Memento Tuxedo Black onto the Cork and cut it out. I LOVE how cute it is!!! I cut out all of the images and arranged them on my scene. I paper pieced the bathing suit with the same Love Me Do pattern I used on my card. All the images were popped up with Foam Tape, and the sentiment, "fun in the sun" is also from Beach Bum and I created a little tag and attached it with a button. I finished off my card by sewing each of the panels on my sewing machine.

Thanks SO much for stopping by! I hope you like my HOT MFT card!!

Stamps: Beach Bum by My Favorite Things
Paper: Neenah Solar Crest White, Classic Red & Love Me Do by My Minds Eye
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Cork from MFT, Button, Sewing Machine, Copic Markers and Foam Tape

Sweetie Pie!!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday! I {heart} Saturday!!!

Here is my card for today's AWESOME Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT)!! As usual, Jen has designed a FAB sketch!!!

I had SO much fun making this card!!! I started by stamping this pie lovin' Cuppie from the newly released Cuppie In The Kitchen from Taylored Expressions in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock.

I colored the entire image with Copic Markers and gave a bit of shimmer to the cherry filling in the pie with a Red Spica Glitter Pen! I cut and embossed Cuppie with Circle Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe & Memento Tangelo. I then layered him on Suede Brown Medium Circle Nestabilities.

The sentiment, "Sweetie pie", is also from Cuppie In The Kitchen, and I stamped it onto Choice Buttercream and cut it out and embossed it with the smallest of the Tags Trio by Spellbinders. I gave this some sponging with the same inks as well. I attached this little sentiment tag with a DELISH cream Jenni Bowlin Vintage Button (I LOVE these!!!) and I threaded a bow with some Chocolate Twill through it.

All the patterned paper on my card is from the oh so FAB Fly A Kite collection by October Afternoon. I have a SERIOUS obsession with all OA papers these days!!!

The scallop panel was created with the Jumbo Scallop Die-Namics and I attached some YUMMY Green Apple Silk Ribbon and I put a knot on each side for interest. Two chocolate brads finish this one off!!

Check out what the rest of the SFYTT gang has done with this sketch right here!!

To A Super Boy!

Hi everyone!! Happy Bellarific Friday!!!

Today's Bellarific Friday Challenge is "For the Boys"! SO fun...I know I can always use a masculine card in my stash!!!

I was SUPER excited about this challenge because I wanted to finally ink up the ADORABLE Noah The Computer Guy from Stamping Bella. I totally LOVE him!!!

I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Bella's Bestest Cream Paper and colored him with Copic Markers. I cut him out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities which I layered over Big Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities (love these!!!).

I added a sentiment to the focal panel, "to a Super boy", also from Stamping Bella! One of my FAVORITE things about the sentiments at Stamping Bella are the fonts...they are SO fun!!

I used this week's Sketch Challenge at SCS for the layout, SC282, but I fudged the center band a bit because I didn't want to cover up this cutie!!

Oh how I LOVE the papers on this card (grin!!)! Both patterns are from So Sophie by My Minds Eye...YUM!! I kept the embellies super simple, ust using two silver brads on my focal panel!

Make sure you head on over to Bloggabella and check out today's Bellarific Friday post! Leave a comment and be automatically entered for a chance to win some Bella Bucks!! Score!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

There She Goes Peeks Continue with Dadisms!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday!! I am SO excited to be able to share yet another peek at yet another FABULOUS set being released on Saturday by There She Goes!!

Today, the Trendsetter's are sharing a MUST have set with you, Dadisms!! This is an AWESOME set for all of the men in our lives!!

Did you make your way here from my AWESOME pal Jessie's Blog? If so, perfect! If not, please head on over to the wonderful Danielle's Blog and start the hop from the beginning!!!

For my card today, I started with last week's sketch from SCS, SC281! I stamped the Dad (how cool is he!) in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Classic Crest Cream and colored him with Copic Markers. I then stamped him again onto some My Minds Eye patterned paper (I think it's from the Stomp collection but I am not totally positive), and paper pieced his chair with the same pattern I used on my card!!

In hindsight, I should have given him khaki's instead of jeans huh? LOL!!!

All of the panels were sewn on my sewing machine and I did a sort of sloppy stitch. I like how it came out, but it was SO hard to NOT sew in a straight line...I kind of have ocd with stuff like that!! The sentiment, "Happy Father's Day", also from Dadisms, was stamped and cut out/embossed with Oval Nestabilities.

I finished off my card with some Vintage Brads in each corner as well as on the focal panel! No ribbon on this manly card!!

Would like a chance to win this FABULOUS new set? Getting that chance is SUPER easy! Simply hop around and comment on each of the Trendsetter's Dadismss posts and when you are done, head to the There She Goes Blog and leave your name and info in Mr. Linky! One lucky commenter will win Dadisms!! Good luck!!

The next stop on this seaside hop is at the ultra amazing Kim's Blog! I am sure her card will blow you away!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! I hope to *see* you on Saturday night at the release party!

There She Goes Peeks Continue By The Sea!

Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesday!!! I am SO excited to share another peek from the AH-mazing new release from There She Goes!!

Today, the Trendsetter's get to share a GORGEOUS set illustrated by the fabulous Chris Dark, By the Sea! This set is SO beautiful...classic TSG with fabulous images and beautiful sentiments!!
Did you make your way here from my AWESOME pal Jessie's Blog? If so, perfect! If not, please head on over to the wonderful Chris's Blog and start the hop from the beginning!!!

Now, there is no need to check your computer...you are at my blog and yes, I did create a one layer card!!! Don't tell anyone, but I had SO much fun making it...even without the tons of layers I normally use!!

A few days ago I was perusing an old issue of PaperCrafts and I was SO inspired by a card from Jeanne Streiff using this layout. As soon as I saw By The Sea, I knew I wanted to use this layout with this darling sand pail/shovel image!!

I stamped the pail in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Classic Crest White and colored it with Copic Markers. I cut it out and embossed it with Classic Circle Nestabilities.

I stamped the sentiment, "Can you dig it?", also from By The Sea (don't you love that sentiment!!), directly onto the cardstock. I created a scallop border of cork with the Jumbo Scallops Die-Namics and I added some red ribbon that I stitched on the sewing machine, along with some black gingham ribbon for pop.

Super simple...yes. But I really kinda love it!! LOL!!

Would like a chance to win this FABULOUS new set? Getting that chance is SUPER easy! Simply hop around and comment on each of the Trendsetter's By The Sea posts and when you are done, head to the There She Goes Blog and leave your name and info in Mr. Linky! One lucky commenter will win By The Sea!! Good luck!!

There She Goes Sneak Peeks Begin!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday! And what a DELIGHTFUL Tuesday it is! There She Goes sneak peeks begin today and you are going to LOVE them all!!! I know I do!

Today, the Trendsetters get to show you peeks of a FABU new set called A Woman's Place!!! Did you make your way here from my AWESOME pal Jessie's Blog? If so, perfect! If not, please head on over to the wonderful Danielle's Blog and start the hop from the beginning!!!

EVERY single image and sentiment in this set totally makes me smile!! I felt like an architect making this card!!!

I started by drawing a very light pencil line with my ruler so that all my cabinetry and appliances (grin!) were lined up. I then stamped the cabinets, the stove and the fridge, all lined up in a row!! After I had all the images stamped, I just erased the line.

Using a Copic Multiliner, I created a tile floor for my kitchen scene, and the floor, along with all of the other images, were colored with Copic Markers.

I had SO much fun adding the accessories as well...the towel on the fridge, the utensils on the way and the pan on the stove, and they are all colored with Copics as well.

I kept my layout super simple so that the scene really takes center stage. I did sew each layer with my sewing machine and the patterned paper is a retired SU! pattern. I stamped the sentiment right onto my scene..."A woman's place is in the kitchen". A chocolately stitched bow that I created with the Bow Easy finishes this one off.

I even decorated the inside of my card (ala Jesssie!), and I LOVE the rest of the sentiment..."hahaaaaaa...yeah right", which pretty much sums up my personal view of the kitchen

The next stop on this awesome hop is at the AMAZING Lisa's Blog!!

Would you like a chance to win this AWESOME new set? Getting that chance is SUPER easy! Simply hop around and comment on each of the Trendsetter's A Woman's Place posts and when you are done, head to the There She Goes Blog and leave your name and info in Mr. Linky! One lucky commenter will win A Woman's Place!! Good luck!!

It'll Be Okay!

Hi everyone!!! Happy Monday!!

Here is a card I created for my pal Joanne's challenge on her blog to celebrate half a million (WOW...that's ALOT!) hits on her blog!!! Congrats Joanne!!!

I LOVE her challenge!! Not only did she provide a sketch, but she made it a "sketch plus three" challenge too! SO fun!!!

For my card, I started with this little Pure Innocence sweetie, My Umbrella, from My Favorite Things, and I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and colored her with Copic Markers. I paper pieced her raincoat with some of the same October Afternoon Thrift Shop paper I used on my card!

I LOOOOOOOOOOVE the scallops. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE them! That's probably because I LOVE Die-Namics from MFT! I cannot even wait to see the next release...I already know I want to buy it and I have no idea what it is yet!!! I used the Jumbo Scallops Die-Namics and the paper is also from Thrift Shop.

For my "plus three", I chose the following (and I am such a dork that I used even more than three, I used six!!)

1. Gingham Paper
2. Text Printed Paper
3. Ledger Paper
4. Kraft
5. Twill
6. Stitching

I added some stitching and a twill ribbon! The sentiment, "It'll be okay" is also from My Umbrella and I stamped it directly onto the gingham paper.

I have to say, I really love how this came out! I have to thank Joanne for making me think out of my normal box and use papers that I normally wouldn't pair together. SO SO fun!!

I hope to get at least one more card done for her challenge...I wish there were 10 more hours in each day!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Happy Birthday Jessica!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!!

Welcome to a VERY special Birthday Blog Hop!! Today, the Trendsetters are surprising our fearless leader, the wonderful Jessica, with a hop to celebrate her Birthday!! Woot!!!

The first stop on today's hop, and where you (hopefully) came from to get to me, is the fabulous Chris Dark!! If you didn't start there, head on over to her blog to start the hop from the beginning!!

I am SO excited to participate in today's blog hop! Not only is Jessica the owner of There She Goes, an amazing designer and fabulous illustrator, she is also a dear friend and I am SO lucky to have gotten to know her through stamping!!

For my card for Jessica, I started with one of Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenges, SSSC69 and I used one of my all time favorite There She Goes stamp sets, Make A Wish! I stamped and masked the cake and then stamped the cake stand, both with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored the entire image with Copic Markers. I stamped the sentiment, "Happy Birthday" around my image four times, and I separated each sentiment with one of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles.

I also used the Twinkles to adorn the cake! I wanted Jess to have a SUPER sparkly cake on her Birthday!!! The patterned paper is the oh so whimsical Fly A Kite by October Afternoon, and I added three ribbons of Fudge Polytwill to finish it off!!

The next stop on this Birthday Hop is over at the amazing Danielle's Blog!!

Jess, HAPPY BIRTHDAY my sweet friend! I hope today brings you oodles of happiness and that this next year will be your happiest and most successful yet! LOVE ya girlie!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

My First Lulu!

Hi everyone!!! Happy Sunday!!!

Here is a card I made using one of the darling images from the Lulu Collection at Stamping Bella! Her name is Emma and I think she is the cutest!!!

This is my first time using one of the Lulu stamps (I know...how terrible right!), but I added sweet Emma to my cart the last time I placed a Stamping Bella order and I just love her!!!

The layout on my card is from Sketch Girl, SG18!! What a fun sketch! All of the papers on my card are from the Rockabilly DSP from SU!, a collection of papers I still adore!

I stamped Emma in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Bella's Bestest Cream Paper and colored her with Copic Markers. I cut her out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities, and keeping the cardstock in the Nestabilities, I sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe.

I added two Crystal Rhinestones (which are covered up with my watermark!) from SU! and those are the only embellishments I used on my card!! You can be sure I will be adding some more Lulu's to my Stamping Bella collection!!!

This coming Bellarific Friday challenge is for the boys! Create a masculine card and send it to Emily by Thursday evening to be entered for a chance to win some Bella Bucks!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Does This Mean You're A Grownup Now?

Hi everyone!!! Happy Saturday!!!

I had some fun stampy time today, so I decided to FINALLY participate in a challenge over at The Cats Pajamas! I have wanted to for ages so I am excited that I finally played along!!!

This week's challenge is a super fab inspiration pic that you can see on this post. I LOVE the colors in this picture, so I pulled out some yummy papers from Thrift Shop by October Afternoon and got to work!

For my card, I used Smells Like Cake, an AWESOME set that I borrowed from my friend Ann (thanks girl!!). I have a HUGE wish list at The Cats Pajamas, and this set is totally on it!!!

I stamped the penguins in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar Cream and colored the entire image with Copic Markers. The star on top of the cupcake has a coat of Martha Stewart glitter (love that stuff!). I LOVE the sentiment, "Does this mean you're a grownup now?", and I cut it out and embossed it, as well as the focal image, with Circle Nestabilities and sponged both with Memento Canteloupe & Memento Tangelo.

I finished off my card with two American Crafts black brads and opted to NOT use any ribbon. The layout is today's sketch at The Sweet Stop, SSS57, and I just added the sentiment panel.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

I Miss Hangin' Out!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday!!!

Here is my card for todays SFYTT!! I had a BLAST with this sketch!!!

For my card, I did a bit of paper piecing!!! I started by stamping the dress and the clothesline stands, both from the new Hangin' Out by Taylored Expessions, in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock. I cut out and embossed the image with Rectangle Nestabilities.

I then created a mask for the dress and masked off the edges of my focal image. Once that was done, I inked up my Cloudy Background, also from Taylored Expressions in Bashful Blue and stamped it on my focal panel.

I then stamped the dress again in the same patterned paper I used on my card, Penny Lane by My Minds Eye, and paper pieced the dress! FUN stuff!!!

I used the same patterned paper on my card, and I also created a little sentiment tag using the "I miss hangin' out" sentiment also from Hangin' Out! I finished off my card with three blue gingham bows that I created with the Bow Easy, and some Dew Drops for a little pop!!

Check out what the rest of the SFYTT gang has done with this sketch right here!!

Friendship!

Hi everyone!! Happy Bellarific Friday!!!

Today's Bellarific Friday was this AWESOME sketch created by Jeaniebella!!! I had a BLAST using it and I cannot even wait to head on over to Bloggabella and see all of the entries using this sketch!!!

For my card, I used the darling Friendship Definition Block from Stamping Bella. This is the first time I have used this stamp and I just LOVE it!!

I started by stamping the definition in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and I sponged the edges just a bit with Memento Canteloupe to define (lol!) it. I added a row of scallops cut from cork under the sentiment for a bit of interest.

All of the patterned paper is the luscious Thrift Shop by October Afternoon, and I really love the black/cream polka dots with the floral pattern.

I kept the embellies SUPER simple on this one...a Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon bow and three red brads. There are tons of different Definition Blocks available at Stamping Bella...they are perfect for both cardmakers & scrapbookers!

Make sure to head on over to Bloggabella and leave a comment on today's Bellarific Friday post!! One lucky commenter will win Bella Bucks!

The B'day Box!

Hi everyone!!! Happy Thusday!!!

I have a fun (and easy!) project to share with you today!!

As a card maker, I think it's quite ironic that I NEVER have Birthday cards when I need them! You would think I would have a whole big stash...not so much :) I decided to decorate one of the amazing Perfect Packages from Taylored Expressions and make a "b'day box" full of Birthday cards so I will always be prepared (well...until I use these and run out...LOL).

For both the box and the coordinating cards that I created, I used the FABULOUS Garden Party Project Pantry Kit by Taylored Expressions! This kit is AWESOME and I just love the colors and the paper (72 and Sunny by We R Memory Keepers) and my favorite part of this kit is that it is PEFECT for masculine and feminine cards!!! BONUS!

Both the Perfect Package and the coordinating cards (I made two of each for my b'day box), all feature images from the same stamp set, the fabulous Sweet Celebration by Taylored Expressions!!!

To create the title of my Perfect Package, I used some fun Thickers in Bumble Pink. Now, the pink didn't really coordinate with my project, so I simply colored the letters I was going to use with a red Copic Marker! It was SO easy and I LOVE how they came out!! Using the Thickers, I put "b'day" on the top of the Perfect Package, and "box" on the front flap! SO fun!!

All the layers on the Perfect Package were sewn on my sewing machine, and the image was cut out and embossed with Rectangle Nestabilities. I even used some of the dots from the Thickers, also colored with a Copic Marker, to mimic the look of brads!!

All of the cards that I made to house inside my b'day box Perfect Package use previous Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenges. Did you know that Taylor has her entire Sketch Book on her blog? It's an awesome resource! I printed it and put it in a binder that sits on my stamp desk. I use it all the time for inspiration and layouts!!
I colored all of the images with Copic Markers and as I mentioned above, all of these stamps are from the Sweet Celebration set!!!
I LOVE that all of the cards are totally gender neutral!! I also LOVE that I have a stash of Birthday cards now, and all in a cute box too!!! grin!

Percolate!

Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesday!!

Here is a card I made using Mercy's AWESOME sketch from yesterday, MTSC74! I LOVE Mercy's sketches...they are always SO much fun!!

For my card, I used a FAB stamp from Stamping Bella, Percolator Circle!!! I totally LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this image!!!

I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Bella's Bestest Paper and colored it with Copic Markers. I then cut it out and layered it onto a Classic Red circle cut with Circle Nestabilities. I gave the percolator a coat of Glossy Accents to make it pop.

All the patterned paper on my card is Early Bird by Cosmo Cricket, a paper collection that I still adore! I thought it was so whimsical and perfect with this image!!!
A simple red bow and yellow button are my only embellishments, but each and every layer was sewn on my sewing machine and the Classic Red panel all the way in the back was run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.

This week's Bellarific Friday challenge is this AWESOME sketch!!! Make sure to play along and email your creation to Emily by Thursday evening to have a chance to win some Bella Bucks!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

We have tons of participents today! I can't wait to see what everyone has created!!!
For my card today, I used the wonderful sketch created by one of my fellow Baker's Dozen designers, Sankari! I had a blast with this sketch!!
I had the hardest time choosing a set to use today! I LOVE them all but I finally decided that I HAD to use a Cuppie set...I do love me some Cuppie!! I pulled out my beloved Crafty Cuppie and Crafty Expressions and got to work!!

I stamped this stampin' Cuppie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored the entire image with Copic Markers. I cut out and embossed the panel with Circle Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe and Memento Tangelo.

ALL the cardstock and patterned paper on my card are from the delightful In The Kitchen Project Pantry Kit (which I cannot get enough of!) I LOVE the papers in the kit (So Sophie by My Minds Eye...YUM!!). I added some brads from my stash and created a flower with a Cuttlebug flower die and more of the patterned paper!

The sentiment, "Do something creative everyday" is from Crafty Cuppie, and I then stamped "I *heart* stamping", from Crafty Expressions, under Cuppie. Lots of my layers, and the flower, are popped up on Foam Tape (this is ALL I use and I ADORE it...just sayin!)

Check out what the rest of the Blast from the Past Blog Hop particpants have created right here:

Thanks SO much for stopping by and have fun hopping along!!

Rock The Bump!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!!!

Here is a card I created with oodles of MFT goodness!! Speaking of MFT (grin!!), I am the Fabulous Friend today over at the MFT Blog! I am HONORED and SO excited...thanks Kim!!! I would love for you to head on over and see my card!!

I have a baby shower this weekend for a friend that is expecting a little girl. I just KNEW I had to use the Baby Bump set from MFT for her card!!

I started by stamping this prego gal in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers. I paper pieced her shirt with the same pattern of Quite Contrary by My Minds Eye that I used on the card. I love this stamp! Tooooo cute!!

I, of course, had to use some cork on my card...it is totally my latest obsession!! I created the scalloped cork border with the luscious new Scallop Die from the Die-Namics collection at MFT, another obsession!! I also used cork to mat my focal image.

I kept this one super simple with (shock!) NO embellies...I really wanted the image and the cork to be the focal points on this one. The sentiment, "Rock the Bump" was stamped directly on the patterned paper in Memento Tuxedo Black.

I wonder if I can make a card WITHOUT using cork and Die-namics! LOL!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Hello My Sweets!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday!!

Here is a card I made using this Card Sketch from CPS, CPS166! This was a fun sketch with so many possibilities!!

For my card, I used one of my favorite sets from There She Goes, Daily Grind! I had yet to ink up this darling heart topiary so I knew I wanted to use it for my card!

I stamped the topiary in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar Classic White and colored the entire image with Copic Markers. I cut it out and embossed it with Rectangle Nestabliities, and I sponged the edges while the cardstock was still in the die.

I stamped the sentiment, "Hello my sweets", which is also from Daily Grind, directly over the pot. I love this CAS look, a look I normally veer away from!!

I paired this image with a piece of Basic Grey Origins paper and I kept the embellies super simply with a ruffled & sewn ribbon and two brads. I sewed the edges of the card with a "sloppy" stitch...a look I am liking more and more these days!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Daily Grind by There She Goes
Paper: Suede Brown Dark, Neenah Solar Crest White & Origins by Basic Grey
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Canteloupe
Accessories: Rectangle Nestabilities, Copic Markers, Ribbon, Sewing Machine, SU! Brads and Foam Tape

The May Key Ingredients Are Here!!

**THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY! PLEASE SCROLL DOWN JUST A SMIDGE FOR MY SFYTT POST! THANKS!**

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!!

Today is a HAPPY HAPPY day in Stamping A Latte land!! Why you ask? Well, it's because I get to share one of my ALL time favorite things with you all, the newest Key Ingredients from Taylored Expressions!

If you come around these parts (lol!) you are well aware of just how much I {heart} the Key Ingredients by Taylored Expressions, and the May Key Ingredients is my FAVORITE thus far!! (Yes...I KNOW...I say that all the time...but boy oh boy...I LOVE this kit!).

The May Key Ingredients are CHOCK full of cardstock, patterned paper (Pebbles Treehouse...YUM!), ribbons and chipboard, all hand selected by Taylor herself for the maximum level of fabulousness!

One of my favorite things about each Key Ingredients are the embellishments! I LOVE to embellish my cards, especially with ribbon, and each KI always has such an AWESOME assortment of ribbon (different colors, widths, styles), you can get SO many different looks from just one KI!!! Aside from the TONS of ribbon each month, there is also another AMAZING embellishment that I always LOVE to use!! I feel SO creative using the Key Ingredients!

I have two cards to share with you today featuring the May Key Ingredients!! For my first card, I used Taylor's Sketch from yesterday, TESC113, which was PERFECT for what I had in mind! Now...don't be shocked, but there is absolutely NO stamping on my first card!!! NONE at all!

In lieu of stamping, I used the rub-ons from the May Key Ingredients for both my focal panel AND sentiment panel(s)! How FUN!!! I used the owl rub-ons (how CA-uuuuute are they?) for my focal panel and cut it out and embossed it with Circle Nestabilities. I sponged the edges a bit for definition and layered it onto Scallop Circle Nestabilities. The sentiment that I used, "You and Me" is also a rub-on, and I just cut it up into three pieces and rubbed them on! Easy peasy lemon squeezy! I finished this one off with some yummy yellow polka dot ribbon, also from the May KI!

For my second card, I used another one of Taylor's Sketches, this one from two weeks ago, TESC11. I LOVE this sketch because it really shows off the YUMMY Treehouse Pebbles paper in the May KI! For this card, I stamped the bee hive from the brand new Garden Party Critters by Taylored Expressions, one of the two new sets in Taylor's very own stamp line, TE, colored it with Copic Markers and then cut it out and embossed it with Circle Nestabilities. I layered it onto Scallop Circle Nestabilities. I inked up only the "bee happy" part of the sentiment, also from Garden Party Critters, and punched it out with a Word Window Punch. I popped it up on top of the bee hive.

For my embellishments on this card, I used three of the flower rub-ons from the May KI and I LOVE how they look on the side of the card! A simple ribbon knot using some more delicious ribbon from the May KI finishes this one off!!

Are you ready to become a subscriber? That's the only way to get your hands on the Key Ingredients...they are EXCLUSIVE to subscribers!! You can satisfy your craving for FABULOUSLY put together cardstock, patterned paper, ribbon and embellishments right HERE!!

You can also check out the May Key Ingredients Gallery (and all past KI galleries!!) right HERE for my inspiration and enabling (grin!)!

Sending Well Wishes!

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for this weeks AWESOME SFYTT Sketch!!! I had SO much fun making this!!

For my card, I used the UBER adorable Better Get Better from the Pure Innocence line at My Favorite Things. I just {heart} her!!! I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers.

I cut her out and embossed the panel with Oval Nestabilities, which I layered on top of Scallop Oval Nestabilities cut from Kraft Cardstock. I sponged the edges of the focal panel with Memento Canteloupe and Memento Tangelo to make it pop.

The patterned paper is Thrift Shop by October Afternoon, and do you see the DELIGHTFUL-ness on the bottom of my card? I used the brand new Die-Namics Jumbo Scallop Die and Die-Namics Scalloped Scallop Die from My Favorite Things...and I used it to cut out some delish Banana Split Felt, also from My Favorite Things...can I just say SWOON? I am in L-O-V-E love!!!

I stamped the sentiment, "Sending Well Wishes" to the bottom of my card on the Kraft panel, and I finished this off with two Red Brads in each top corner and a big red bow created with my Bow Easy!!

Colorful Bellarific Friday!

Hi everyone!! Happy Bellarific Friday!!!

Today's Bellarific Challenge is a DELISH color challenge of Chocolate, Light Pink & Celery! YUM!!!

For my card, I started with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC68! I used the darling Izzie Has Balloons from Stamping Bella for my card, and I stamped her (and her balloons!) in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Bellas Bestest Cream Paper and colored her with Copic Markers.

All the patterned paper on my card is from Quite Contrary by My Minds Eye, which are perfect for today's color challenge!!

After cutting and matting all the pieces, I sewed each on my sewing machine. I paper pieced the balloons, as well as Izzie's dress with patterns of the same paper. A simple chocolate stitched ribbon finishes this one off, and I used my Bow Easy (shocker!) to create the bow!

I had SO much fun with these colors, and you can be sure I am heading on over to Bloggabella to see the entries from the Bella Sisterhood!!! Head on over to Bloggabella yourself and leave a comment on today's Bellarific post! One lucky commenter will win some Bella Bucks!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Inch By Inch!

Life's a cinch!

Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday! Here is a card I created using last week's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge, TESC112!

For my card, I using this ADORABLE inch worm from Garden Party Critters, part of the brand new line of stamps at Taylored Expressions illustrated and designed by Taylor herself!!!

I stamped this little guy (I just LOVE him!!) in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. I cut the image out with Circle Nestabilities, sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe and layered it with Scallop Circle Nestabilities.

All the cardstock, patterned paper and ribbon are from the FABULOUS new Garden Party Project Pantry Kit, and the Glittered Brads are also available from Taylored Expressions!! I embossed the yellow cardstock with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, and the sentiment, "Inch by Inch life's a cinch, also from Garden Party Critters, was cut out and embossed with the largest tag in the Tags Trio by Spellbinders. I sponged this to match as well.

This card was SO much fun to make, and it took no time at all considering everything is PEFECTLY coordinated a la Taylor!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Worm Wishes!

Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesdsay!

Here is a card I made using Mercy's totally awesome sketch from yesterday, MTSC73!!

For my card, I started by stamping this SUPER cute fisherman by Stamping Bella, Catch of the Day, in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Bella's Bestest Cream Paper and colored him with Copic Markers. I cut him out with Circle Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe.

The paper is from (I think!) Stomp by My Minds Eye, and I used Old Olive cardstock to make it pop. I embossed my olive cardstock with the Herringbone Embossing Folder and added Vanilla Brads by American Crafts to each corner.

The sentiment, "worm" wishes, is also from Stamping Bella, and I stamped it directly onto the patterned paper. I found this greenish-brown ribbon in my stash, and the bow was created with my Bow Easy.

This week's Bellarific Friday challenge is a DELISH color challenge of Chocolate, Light Pink & Celery! Make sure to email your Bellarific creation to Emily by Thursday night!

The Perfect Pair!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!!

Today, my husband and I are celebrating our 9 year Wedding Anniversary! Wow...time flies!! I made this card for him using this past Saturday's Sweet Stop Sketch, SSS55!

For my card, I started by stamping the boxers and panties, both from Hangin' Out by Taylored Expressions, in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock. Using a Copic Multiliner, I drew in the "clothesline". I then stamped this super sweet bird, also from Hangin' Out. I then created a mask for all three images, and using my Copic Airbrush and a template, created the sky. As you can see...I need TONS of practice with my Airbrush!

I then removed the masks and colored all the images with Copic Markers. All the cardstock and patterned paper is from the new Garden Party Project Pantry by Taylored Expressions. I created the "grass" using paper snips, but you can bet I am picking up this punch from Taylor to use with this set!

I embossed the yellow panel with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, and I created the border with the SU! Scallop Border Punch. The sentiment, "we make the perfect pair", also from Hangin' Out, was stamped onto the cardstock BEFORE I embossed it, and I added two red Bits of Bling for some fun!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

A Helping Hand Blog Hop!

Hi Everyone!! Happy Monday!!

I am SO honored to be a part of today's Helping Hand Blog Hop alongside some of my most favorite stampers!

As some of you may know, there has been terrible flooding in Nashville TN, just a short 9 miles away from where our sweet friend Jessica lives.

There hasn't been much media coverage about this terrible tragedy, and you can see a video about the damage and the people affected by this right HERE on Jessica's Blog.

The set we are all sharing today is a digital set called "A Helping Hand" , designed by Jen Shults, owner/illustrator of Wildflower Patch Kids digital Stamps, and Betty Roberts of Simply Betty, a new stamp line debuting June 1st. The set will retail for $15 and 100% of the proceeds are being donated to the Nashville area Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Set will go on sale Monday at the Wildflower Patch Kids store.

For my card, I printed this darling image onto Neenah Solar Crest White and colored him with Copic Markers. I added some Moonlight Smooch to his shovel, as well as to the hammer hanging from his toolbelt. I cut him out with Rectangle Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe & Memento Tangelo.

I kept my layout simple, and I embossed my Kraft panel with the Herringbone Embossing Folder. The patterned paper is from Lil' Man by Cosmo Cricket, and the fun screw brads are available from Taylored Expressions, as is the aluminum squares I used as part of a mat behind my image as well as the border of my patterned paper.

The sentiment, "Thanks for Caring", is also from A Helping Hand, and I cut it out and layered it with Oval Nestabilities. I added a bit of color with a Copic Marker and sponged this as well.

Check out what these amazing stampers have done with this set right here:

Happy Mother's Day!

Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday and Happy Mother's Day!!

Mom...if you are reading this before I see you today...well then, I hope you like your card (grin!).

To celebrate Mother's Day, I pulled out this darling set from MFT, (I have it in stamps, but I have linked the Digi here as that is all I could find!).

I stamped this image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Classic Crest Cream twice and colored it with Copic Markers. I cut out the inside square and then restamped the image onto the striped patterned paper from Thrift Shop by October Afternoon and then popped it up with Foam Tape. I then popped both pieces up onto a Cream Scallop Square.

All the patterned paper is from Thrift Shop by October Afternoon, and I used the same layout I used on one of my TSG cards from Friday. I sewed each layer on my sewing machine and created a bow of Baja Breeze Striped Grosgrain Ribbon with my Bow Easy!

I stamped the sentiment, "Have a Wonderful Mother's Day" directly onto the patterned paper!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! I wish you all a very Happy Mother's Day!!
