Prettie Peekie Tuesday!!

Hi Prettie People!! Welcome to day two of Prettie Peeks!!! Tomorrow night is the release party at Paper Pretties, and I hope to see you all there!!

There are some FABULOUS releases plus something SUPER special that you will see tomorrow night (LOVE it...CAN'T wait for you all to see!!!).

For my card today, I used Sophia Ballerina, who is being released tomorrow at the part-ay!!! WOOT!!!

I colored her with Copic Markers, and her dance skirt has two coats of Candlelight Shimmerz. Did you know that you can now get both Copic Markers AND Shimmerz/Blingz in the Prettie Boutique!! Not only that, they are 20% off retail ALL the time!!! AWESOME!!!

The DSP on my card is Good Morning Sunshine, which I know seems an unlikely pair with Sophia Ballerina, but I just LOVE her in Saffron :)

I used the Dotted Wave punch from EK Success to create my borders (LOVE this...I just wish I could find the Fleur De Lis Border...sigh...) and I added tons of piercing. I finished off my card with some Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon, and for my brads, I really wanted Saffron brads...but I didn't have any left....SOOOOOOO, I took two White Brads from American Crafts and colored them with my Copic Marker! How COOL is that??? Pretty cool I think :)

Before I go, I would like to remind you that you have until tonight to enter the Cutie Pie contest and have the chance to win the entire release of stamps tomorrow night at the Paper Pretties release! Here are the deets:

Paper Pretties is having a release on April 1st so that means it is time for another CUTIE PIE CONTEST!!! Gettin' my Mojo on!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday!!! Here is my card for today's Mojo Monday Sketch, Mojo80!! The Mojo Monday Sketch Challenges are one of my guilty little pleasures, and I was SO excited to be able to play today!!

For my card, I used a newly released Verve set, Miracles Blossom!! I LOVE this set SOOOOO much!!! All the paper on this is from Sweet Always DSP, and I had to move my ribbon from the sketch to accomodate my *out of the circle* image!!

I stamped the flower pot and flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice White Cardstock from Taylored Expressions. I then colored the flowers and the pot with my Copic Markers. I punched out what fit in the 1 1/4 Inch Circle Punch, and the cut out the rest of the stems and the flowers with my paper snips. I added them on after I assembled my layered circles.

To finish off my card, I added three Chestnut Brads from American Crafts, and my Regal Rose panel was textured with the Small Dots Texturz Background and then sponged with Regal Rose ink to bring out the pattern.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Miracles Blossom by Verve Stamps
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, Choice White and Sweet Always DSP
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Regal Rose

A Hole In One!!!

** PLEASE SCROLL DOWN A BIT TO SEE MY TSG PEEK FOR TODAY!!! THANKS!! **

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!! Prettie Peeks have begun, and BELIEVE me...you are in for a treat!!! WOO HOOO!!!

FINALLY...finally finally finally, there is a set for the men in our lives!! SO many members of my family and my husband's family are golfers, so this new set from Paper Pretties, On Par, is a HOLE IN ONE for me!!!

Masculine cards are always SO hard for me, but no longer!! I ADORE this set, and wait until you see all the sentiments! They are PERFECTION!!! Can you tell I am a little excited!!!

I colored my golfer with Copic Markers (did you know that these are available now in the Prettie Boutique? Yep, they are, and for 20% off retail...BONUS!), and I went with a masculine color scheme of Always Artichoke and Kraft. Instead of piercing, I used my ruler and Always Artochoke Stampin' Write Marker and created a frame around my image. I punched out my sentiment with the Large Oval Punch, and framed it with the Scallop Oval Punch with Always Artichoke Cardstock.

Both patterns of DSP are from Patterns Pack, and I finished off my card with some Kraft Taffeta Ribbon!! I think this card with be my Father In Law's Father's Day card!! SCORE!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Make sure to come by tomorrow for another Prettie Peek! This release ROCKS!!! There are new sets and a SUPER FABU surprise being released too (which is my FAVORITE EVER!!!) I cannot WAIT for you all to see!!!

Hold onto your seats...

This set is going to crack you up!!! Hi everyone!! Happy Monday! Welcome to the last day of the There She Goes release blog hop!!!

If you made your way here by way of the FABULOUS Joanne's blog, that is perfect!! If you are just starting out though, head on over to Jessica's blog to start the hop from the beginning!!

The set we are peeking today is called Tastes Like Chicken, and I swear, each and every stamp in this set is HYSTERICAL!!!

I really wanted to do a sort of tongue in cheek card, so I used this image of the flowers growing in the potty, and then, I tried to make it a SUPER elegant card!!! LOL!!

I started by stamping by image and coloring it with Copic Markers. I then cut it out with my Oval Nesties. All the DSP on this is Bella Rose DSP, and I added pearls to the bottom and top corners, and also to the top of the potty lid!! The flowers have two coats of Candelight Shimmerz on them.

I finished off my card with some White Satin Ribbon and Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon, and once again, I somehow refrained from paper piercing!!! Go me!!

The next stop on the hop is over at the AMAZING Julie's blog!!

Wishing You A Sweet Spring!!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!! After running around today, it felt SO nice to sit and color, which is something I LOVE to do...

One of my most FAVORITE things to color are the TE Cuppies...so...here is my card for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge, TECC61!!

For my card, I stamped this ADORABLE image from Sweet Spring in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice White Cardstock. I colored the entire image with my Copic Markers (while trying to explain to my almost three year old that she CANNOT use my Copic Markers...that is why she has CRAYOLA! LOL!!).

All of the paper, designer paper and embellishments on my card are from the Easter Key Ingredients Kit available from Taylored Expressions. This card was SUPER easy and fast to make, which is the MAGIC of the Key Ingredients Kits! EVERYTHING you need to put together a perfectly coordinated project is right at your fingertips!!! Did you know that you can now join the Key Ingredients Subscription?? It's totally awesome and available in a Three Month Subscription or a Six Month Subscription! You get a Key Ingredients Kit sent to you automatically EACH AND EVERY Month, and believe me, they are CHOCK full of fabulousness! Plus, the price cannot be beat....You really get SO much stuff!!! You can get yours right HERE.

Let the peeks begin!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday!! I have some super exciting things to share with you over the next few days!!! It's release time over at There She Goes, and I must tell you, you are going to LOVE the new sets!! I certainly do!!!

If you came here from the AMAZING Joanne's blog, AWESOME! If not, you can head over to Jessica's blog where the hop starts!!

Today I have a peek of my favorite set of the release, Cupcake Mix & Match!! This set is AWESOME as you can literally mix and match the stamps and get a slew of different images!!!

I wanted mine to look like little candies, so I stamped them four times, and colored them pink, green and light blue. I added chocolate toppings to all of them, and each one of them has something different on their tops!! I added Glossy Accents to the *chocolate* part of each one, and used my Copic Markers to color them!!

My color scheme is once again this week's Color Challenge on SCS that I guest hostessed, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Pretty In Pink. I just cannot seem to get enough of these colors!! The paper is from Walk In The Park DSP, which I love!!

My layout didn't really leave me any room for a sentiment, so I just stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the set all around the edges of the card. The brads are from American Crafts and are a PERFECT match to Baja Breeze (love it when that happens!!!).

The next stop on the hop is the UBER-talented Julie !!! Head on over and see what fabulousness she has cooked up with this set!!

You can see what all the Trendsetter's have done with this set right here as well!!

No...I didn't lose my paper piercing tool...

I just DIDN'T WANT TO PIERCE...think I am getting sick? LOL!!!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday! Here is my card for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC221!!

For my card, I used one of my most favorite sets from There She Goes, Nature of Friendship!! I LOVE the silhouette look of this set and there are like a gazillion possibilities with all the stamps that come in this!!

I am SO going to miss Kiwi Kiss when it is gone, so I decided to do a monochromatic look with Kiwi Kiss DSP from Walk In The Park, as well as Kiwi Kiss Cardstock. I embossed the cardstock with the Flourish Texturz Background from SU!/Sizzix, and all the panels of Kiwi Kiss were sponged with, you guessed it, Kiwi Kiss ink!!

I added some black brads from American Crafts, and instead of ribbon (wow...no piercing AND no ribbon...yikes!!), I added some butterflies from the Martha Stewart Butterfly punch. I also added two coats of Candelight Shimmerz to the butterflies, and it is super shimmery in real life!!

Have you heard about the Going Away Party over at There She Goes? NO??? Well, it's pretty fabulous...here are the deets right from Jessica, our fearless leader's, blog!!!

Prettie Bookmark Wednesday!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Prettie Wednesday!!

Two weeks ago, Christi challenged the Prettie Girls to SUCH a fun challenge! We had to make a bookmark!!! I had a BLAST with this challenge and can't wait to blurf around and see what the other Pretties came up with!!

For my card, I used Hola Chica!! The newest Stamp of the Month from Paper Pretties!! I totally LOVE her and if you do also (which of course you do!!), you can get her the month before she is released to the general public!! You can click right HERE to sign up!!!

I used Pink Flamingo DSP for my card (which I ordered JUST for Hola Chica...I just love it with her!!), and I used my 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 square punches to create my background. I pierced around each square, and added a jumbo eyelet with my Crop-A-Dile. I used three different ribbons, Regal Rose, Tempting Turquoise and More Mustard through the eyelet!! Hola Chica Sophia was colored with Copic Markers!! Did you know that the Prettie Boutique now carries Copic Markers? Well, they do, and they are 20% off...ALL the time!!!

For my card for Frances, I used Howdy Girlfriend and she is colored with Copic Markers!! To bring in a little bit of Owl flavor, I used my brand new Good Morning Sunshine DSP that I got from my super fabu pal Jacks!!! (Thanks girlie....LOVE this!!).

I used an old SU! set, Riveting, for my sentiment, and punched an owl with my 1/2 Inch Circle Punch for the center!! I hope Frances likes this!! Don't forget to hop and hoot next to Christi!!

Pretty Kiwi Breezes!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!!! I am Guest Hostessing this week's Color Challenge on SCS, CC211, Pretty Kiwi Breezes!!! How COOL!!!!!

I made two cards for this challenge, cause I just LOVE these colors together!! I hope you all love this combo as much as I do!!!

For my first card, I used one of the newly released sets from Taylored Expressions, Sweet Spring!! The layout is from Taylor's Cupcake Challenge, TECC60, from this past Friday!! I used a combination of papers for this card, Walk In the Park from the SU! mini, and Sweet Slumber DSP (thanks Jacks...LURVE this paper!!) from the SU! Catty.

I stamped this sweet little bunny cuppie onto Choice White Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. I framed him with Oval Nesties and added TONS of piercing and some Pretty In Pink Taffeta Ribbon!!

Another card to add to my Easter stash...SCORE!!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Sweet Spring by Taylored Expressions
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Sweet Slumber DSP, Walk In The Park DSP and Choice White Cardstock from Taylored Expressions
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Oval Nestabilities, Scallop Edge Punch, Paper Piercing Tool and Template, Copic Markers, Pretty In Pink Taffeta Ribbon and Dimensionals

For my second card, I went SUO!! I had borrowed the Friends 24-7 set from my friend Ann, and I LOVE it...I SO wish I ordered it!! All the DSP on this card is Walk In the Park from the new SU! mini. The layout is last week's sketch challenge on SCS that I had missed, SC220!

The flower is from Fifth Avenue Floral and I paper pieced it with the Pretty In Pink pattern from Walk In the Park DSP. I added piercing on all the panels, and framed my 24-7 sentiment in the new Scallop Oval Punch (LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!!).

The leaves are Kiwi Kiss cut with the SU! Little Leaves Die Cut. SO much fun and I just love the way they look!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!! I cannot WAIT to see what everyone comes up with for this challenge!!! My pal Jackie Pedro made a sample for this challenge also and you can see her card on her blog, The Scalloped Edge!!

The World Famous Beate!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday!!! Here is my card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS, FS111, The World Famous BEATE!!! WOO HOOO!!

First of all, I cannot even BELIEVE that Beate has not been the FS!! That is CRAZY!! She is the ABSOLUTE most talented stamper out there (in my humble opinion), and she is my personal enabler! I can honestly list, right now off the top of my head, all of the stamps, embellies and supplies I have purchased the past few years all because I saw Beate use them!! My Mom, who is not a stamper, knows who Beate is because I always talk about how awesome she is!! She is UBER talented!!! So, if you can't tell, I am VERY excited that Beate is today's Featured Stamper!!

Onto the card :) How can you choose a card from Beate's gallery to case? Seriously...there is NO way anything that I make is going to come close to hers, but of course I HAD to play along!!

I cased Beate's Black Silhouette Card, which is just one of her amazing cards currently sitting in my Favorite's gallery! I kept her AWESOME layout and design (why even try to mess with perfection), and here is what I changed:

1. Used different Stamps
2. Used different colors and dsp
3. Changed the embossing folder
4. Omitted the brad and flower on the focal image

For my card, I used the smalled flower in Fifth Avenue Floral, and I stamped it in Basic Black onto Whisper White Cardstock. I then cut and layered it with my Circle Nestabilities. I chose a color combo I would not have normally used, as that is one of the things I love most about Beate's cards...she has SUCH a talent for putting colors together! On mine I used Kiwi Kiss DSP from Urban Oasis, and Tangerine Tango cardstock. I embossed the Whisper White panel with the Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions, and each of the panels were sponged in either Kiwi Kiss or Tangerine Tango. The sentiment is from Trendy Trees and I punched it with my Large Oval Punch and layered it with my new Scallop Oval Punch.

Beate is a girl after my own heart with paper piercing, so I pierced all around my card, under the sentiment and around the circle focal image too. I used the same ribbon from Jersey Ribbon Originals. I don't have the flower punch she used (Oh! The horror!), so I pulled out a Pumpkin Pie flower from the Accents & Elements Flower Fusion Felt Flowers, and sponged it with some Tangerine Tango ink so it would match my card. I fastened it with a Vintage Brad.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!! I will be back in a bit with pics from Stamp New England!!

Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral and Trendy Trees
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Basic Black and Urban Oasis DSP
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango and Basic Black

You're A Hoot!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday! I am coming to you today from the beautiful state of New Hampshire, where I am having a BLAST at Stamp New England 09!!! When I get home I will share pics of the projects we are working on and also pics of all the AWESOME stampers here this weekend, including my pal and fellow Baker's Dozen DT member, Karen Motz!!

OK...this card just makes me happy!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE these new sets from Taylored Expressions! On this card I used Branching Out and Branching Out Coordinates, from the new line, Whimsical Wishes!!! Not only are these sets SUPER cute (and totally whimsical...which I love!), a portion of the proceeds from these sets will be donated to Eden Projects, which is an an organization that recreates healthy forest systems in order to restore hope, alleviate suffering, empower people, and build local economies in impoverished communities. Totally wonderful right? These sets are uncut rubber, that way, Taylored Expressions is able to donate more to charity!

I started by stamping my branch in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice White Cardstock. I then masked off my branch and added all the clouds. Lastly, I stamped the swing (LOVE this swing!!) from my branch and added this super cute owl!! The owl was stamped twice, colored with Copic Markers and then popped up on dimensionals. The branch, leaves and clouds were all also colored with Copic Markers!!

I used an unlikely color combination (well, for me anyway!!) of Soft Sky, More Mustard and Chocolate Chip. This combination came from some scraps that were laying on my stamp table...I looked and them and was suddenly inspired!! I embossed the Soft Sky background with the Harlquin Texturz Background and highlighted the design with a sponge dauber and Soft Sky Ink. I added some piercing, yummy Chocolate Chip Corduroy Brads and a ribbon knot of Chocolate Chip ribbon from an old SU! Ribbon Originals set.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!!

The Key Ingredients!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday!! WOO HOO!! Right now I am en route to New Hampshire for Stamp New England!!! I do, however, have some SUPER DUPER exciting news to share today!!

Taylored Expressions just keeps branching out! Now Taylor is offering a Key Ingredients Kit Subscription and today I have a sample of the first kit being offered. To find out how you can subscribe and get this month’s kit (plus get future month’s kits before they're even available in the store!) check out this post on Taylor’s blog!

When Taylor sent us these Key Ingredients she issued a little challenge to create anything but a card and to be sure to use one of the cute chipboard buckles in the kit. Now...anything but a card was a TOTAL challenge for me...I am a card-making kind of gal after all!! But, I have to tell you, I am SUPER happy with my project (and that hardly ever happens!!)

I started with a cardboard CD box that I picked up at my local Borders while I was FINALLY buying The Host (totally awesome...not as good as Twilight but a must read nonetheless, but I digress...), and I had an idea to create a little mini scrapbook box out of it!! For my front cover, I used four rectangles of some of the gorgeous patterned paper in this Key Ingredients Kit, and I stamped some of the images from Branching Out in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock. I framed it with Oval Nestabilities, colored the images with Copic Markers and then sponged the edges a little to give it a softer look!

ALL the papers (yes, ALL of them) and all the ribbons are from the March 20 Key Ingredients Subscription kit! There are SO many wonderful things about the KI Subscription Kits...but would you like to know MY favorite part? EVERYTHING matches perfectly!!! This is a DREAM for me!! I LOVE when my paper matches my dp that matches my ribbon...well, you get the idea. The Key Ingredients take the guess work out of EVERYTHING...which I LOVE!!!

To create my scrapbook, I used the Birchtone Dark cardstock from the kit to create the background, and each end is adhered into the inside of the box top and bottom to create the book. I LOVE the colors of the patterned paper in this kit, the My Minds Eye Free Bird Collection, and I used tons of the patterns for my scrapbook box. (All of the pictures are of my almost 3 year old daughter, Meredith).

I framed my pictures in both Circle and Oval Nestabilities, and I used different shapes of ribbon buckles on each page!!!

The March 20th Key Ingredients Kit includes the most GORGEOUS glitter called Parisian Mist!! I knew I wanted to incorporate it into my scrapbook box, so I took some brads, pressed them into my Versamark pad, added a coat of Heat & Stick Powder and then dipped them right into the glitter!!! Instant glittery brads! LOVE the look of these!!!

All of the sentiments I used on each page of my scrapbook box are from Taylored Expressions!! The sentiment on the front cover, "Just Because" is from Branching Out, and all the sentiments on the inside pages are from A Year of Sweet Sentiments, which is SUCH an awesome sentiment set!!!

You can see what some of the other Baker's on the Baker's Dozen Team have created with this AWESOME March 20 Key Ingredients Kit right here!!

It's a Birthday Blog Hop Prettie Girl style! The fabulous Julie is turning a year older today and to celebrate the Prettie Girls are throwing a virtual birthday party!

Cake, balloons, drinks and cards galore to celebrate! :)

The hop starts right here with me!!! When you reach the end of the hop make sure and leave a little love for Julie wishing her a Happy Birthday! The next stop on the blog hop is Jana!!!

I added tons of piercing and some So Saffron Ribbon to finish off my card!!

Now, normally, I would mail my card to Jules, but tomorrow I am heading to Stamp New England, where I will be able to give Jules her card AND a big birthday hug in person!!!

Happy Happy Happy Birthday Jules! I wish you a WONDERFUL day filled with love and happiness!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Prettie Wednesday!!

Two weeks ago, Jessica challenged us to make a birthday card!! SUPER easy and super fun...just my kind of challenge!!!

For my card, I used Howdy Girlfriend (one of my ALL TIME favorite Sophias!!) and I colored her with my Copic Markers. The sketch is Danielle's sketch from PWC42 from two weeks ago. I used some Ski Slope DSP and framed my image with Oval Nestabilities. I LOVE the way the brads curve on Danielle's sketch (she is SO fancy!!), and I added tons of piercing and some yummy Baja Breeze Striped Grosgrain Ribbon!!

For my birthday sentiment, I used the "Howdy" from Howdy Girlfriend, and the "Birthday" from Bugs & Fishes!!!

Prettie Tuesday!!!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!! I have another Prettie creation to share with you today!!!

For my card, I used one of Danielle's FABULOUS Prettie Weekly Challenge (PWC), PWC43, which is an AWESOME mystery color challenge!! We had to use So Saffron and Regal Rose, my two FAVORITE colors ever, along with a mystery color of our choosing! I chose Chocolate Chip, and I just LOVE these three colors together!!!

I used Hippity Hoppity Sophia for my card and she is colored with Copic Markers. Hey...did you know that the Prettie Boutique is now carrying Copic Markers?? They sure are, AND, they are now carrying Shimmerz and Blingz too!!! The Copics, Shimmerz and Blingz are ALL 20% off....ALL the time, at the Prettie Boutique! Cool right!!!

Anywho, back to my card :) I used Regal Rose DSP from Patterns Pack II and So Saffron Patterns DSP. I added a border of Chocolate Chip that I punched with my Eyelet Border Punch, and OF COURSE, I added some piercing!! I finished off my card with some Chestnut Brads from American Crafts, along with some Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Have a Prettie Day!!

You're So Thoughtful!

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday!!!

Here is my card for today's Inpiration Challenge on SCS, IC171, Fitz & Floyd!! I was SUPER inspired by this Tropical Punch Pitcher!! As soon as I saw this pitcher, I knew I would use my Tart and Tangy set!!!

I started with a piece of Certainly Celery, which I textured with the Small Dots Texturz Background. I also textured the white panel with the same background. I used my Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery and So Saffron Stampin' Write Markers to ink up my slices, and I then punched them out with the 1 1/4 Circle Punch and layered them on 1 3/8 Circles of Pumpkin Pie.

I added TONS of piercing, no ribbon again, and FINALLY used some flower brads that I have been hoarding!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!!

For my card, I used this ADORABLE cuppie surrounded by jelly beans from the recently released Sweet Spring set from Taylored Expressions! Seriously, each image in this set is cuter than the next!!!!

I stamped by image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice White Cardstock (you know...the BOMB-schniz of cardstock for your Copics...and in general!!) and colored this little sweetie and of course, all the jelly beans and the bag, with my Copic Markers!! I LOVE the sentiment, and this card is going to be my Nani's Easter Card...perfect as Easter is her 90th Birthday, so she will be surrounded by all the ones she loves, and, she LOVES jelly beans!!

I used some OLD SU! DSP, Petals and Paisley (SO glad I had ordered two of these when they were available!!), and I still LOVE this paper!! I find it is SO perfect for Easter and Spring!!

Espressing My Thanks!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday! I have a jillion things to do, but when I saw today's Ways to Use It Challenge on SCS, WT209, I knew I wanted to play along!! The challenge, Going Green, was to use something green on your card, or something recycled...so I did both!!

I used this SUPER fun (and totally "me") set from There She Goes, Let's Get Together!! As you may have guessed from my blog title, I LOVE coffee...specifically Starbucks, so this was a must have for me!!

I stamped my cup in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice White Cardstock and added a shadow with a Copic Marker. I stamped the center "sleeve" onto Kraft and then crimped it, cut it out and added it to my cup! My recycled item is the stirrer in the cup, which conveniently came with my current mocha latte that I am sipping as I type this!!

I wanted to try and keep a natural look to my card, so I used some Rope Twine and just knotted it! I added some piercing and instead of brads, I stamped the little boxes down the side (you know, the ones they check off for the # of shots you want, decaf, flavor, etc...). I also crimped my horizontal Kraft panel!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Let's Get Together by There She Goes
Paper: Kraft, Garden Green, Choice White & Kraft DSP from Patterns Pack
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: 1/4 Inch and 1 inch Circle Punches, Crimper, Rope Twine, Paper Piercing Tool and Template, and Dimensionals

I didn't forget...

But I am sure I will!!! LOL!! Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesday!!

Here is my card for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC219! I am SO bad about getting Birthday cards out in a timely fashion...I don't know why, I have PILES of them...I just ALWAYS send them late!!!

That's why this set, Slow and Steady from There She Goes, is perfect for me!!! I stamped this super cute snail in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice White Cardstock, and colored him with Copic Markers. I used some super fun new paper I picked up today by American Crafts called Metropolitan, and it has tons of funky patterns!

The sentiment was stamped on Pink Pirouette Cardstock with I then cut out with the Sizzix Lots of Tags, Label 1. I framed my Chestnut Brads by American Crafts with 1/2 puched circles of Pink Pirouette.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!!

Prettie Colorful Wednesday!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Prettie Wednesday!!

Two weeks ago, Jackie P. (affectionately known as "Officer" by the Pretties...she is in charge of keeping the peace!! LOL!) challenged the Pretties with an AWESOME color challenge, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze and Kraft! Yummy!!!

For my card, I stamped the takeout box from Flirty Fortunes by Paper Pretties in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Kraft Cardstock. I then stamped it again onto Baja Breeze Urban Oasis DSP, and then paper pieced it. I showcased my image with Circle Nestabilities.

The DSP on the card is also from Urban Oasis, and I split the two patterns with a strip of Chocolate Chip that I used my Scallop Edge Punch on! I stamped the sentiment directly onto the DSP in Memento Tuxedo Black.

I finished off my card with some piercing, Chestnut Brads by American Crafts and Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon!!

Prettie Tuesday!

Hi everyone!! Happy Prettie Tuesday!!! Prettie Tuesday means I have another Prettie creation to share with you today!!

OK...so it's no surprise that I am LOVING the April Stamp of the Month from Paper Pretties, Hola Chica...so I am SURE you are not shocked that I am using her again! She is just SO fun to color and I LOVE her sassy pose!!!

I stamped Sophia in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice White Cardstock. I colored her with my Copic Markers, and then cut her out with my brand spankin' new Nested Flowers Shapeabilities that were a present from my fabu friend Jules!! (LOVE them Jules! THANK YOU!!!).

I then layered Sophia on a larger nested flower which I ran through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder! I used my Black Copic Marker to created the black edge around the smaller flower...I needed something to make it look like there was another layer there (I LOVE my layers!!!).

The rockin' paper is Rockabilly DSP and I TOTALLY love the polka dot paper with Hola Chica Sophia!!! The "Hola Chica" sentiment was punched out with my Word Window Punch, and I attached it under my double ribbon of Real Red Grosgrain and Black Gingham Ribbons!! I added piercing all around the edges for some interest (and just cause I like to!!)

So, now that you have seen me use Hola Chica a few times (or alot...let's be honest! I just love her though!), why not head on over to Paper Pretties and sign up for the Stamp of the Month Club! You can then get this hot little Chica in your hands the month before she is released to the general public!! Cool right!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a Prettie Day!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Hola Chica by Paper Pretties
Paper: Real Red, Basic Black, Choice White and Rockabilly DSP
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

How about a little SUO???

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!!
I haven't done an SUO card in awhile, so TADA...here's one!!

I made this card for today's Color Challenge on SCS, CC209, Black Rose Artichokes!!

For my card, I used the Thoughts and Prayers set, and I used my Always Artichoke and Rose Red Stampin' Write Markers to ink up my stamp, and the I huffed and stamped. I cut my image to 2.5 X 2.5, and then cut out the leaves that were out of my 2.5 square. The Rose Red and Always Artichoke panels were textured with the Damask Texturz Background, and then I used my sponge daubers with the same colors to make the texture pop.

I added piercing all around, and I created my Always Artichoke circle with the Coluzzle, and the black scallop circle with the Coluzzle and Corner Rounder Punch.

The sentiment is on Label #1 from the Sizzlits Lots of Tags dies (LOVE these!!), and I put a Styled Silver brad on each side.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers
Paper: Rose Red, Always Artichoke, Basic Black and Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Rose Red and Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Markers
Accessories: Paper Piercing Tool and Template, Coluzzle, Corner Rounder Punch, Damask Texturz Background, Styled Silver Brads, Sponge Daubers, and Dimensionals

Where, oh where, is my Mojo???

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! I am feeling a little under the weather today, and am home from work. My little one wanted to go and play in Mommy's stamp room, so I thought I would make a card while we were down here :)

I used today's Mojo Monday Sketch, Mojo77, and I KNEW I wanted to use some some new Verve!! I pulled out Floral Symphony, a GORGEOUS new set that was released last night!!

I stamped the stems and flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice White Cardstock (from Taylored Expressions), and I stamped the flowers again separately. I colored the flowers and stems with my Copic Markers, and after popping up just the flowers with Dimensionals, I added just a touch of Diamond Stickles to the flowers. I framed my image with my Circle Nestabilities, and all the DSP is from Pink Flamingo.

I added some Black Ribbon from Valet Ribbon Originals, three black Vintage Brads and added piercing.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Stamps: Floral Symphony from Verve Stamps
Paper: Basic Black, Choice White, Real Red, Cameo Coral and Pink Flamingo DSP
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

SOOOOOOO full of Joy...in a Jar!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday!!!

Here is my card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS, FS109, which honors Judy aka StampingQueenJar!!! I am a HUGE fan of Judy's and am SUPER excited that she is today's FS!!!!

She has SOOOOOOOOO many fabulous cards, and I could sit and case each and every one, but for tonight, I chose to case her Sending You Love card, which she created as an ATC!

I made mine bigger than an ATC (grin!), and my card is actually 4 1/2 Square. I kept her FABULOUS layout with the cut off circle nesties, but changed the following:

1. Colors and DSP
2. Used Different Stamps
3. Omitted the corner piercing (shocking right??)
4. Added a thin center panel
5. Added Brads

For my card, I stamped this ADORABLE little Easter Basket from the Sweet Spring Set that was just released by Taylored Expressions in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Choice White Cardstock (the ultimate in white paper to use with your Copics, in my opinion!!). I colored my image with Copic Markers, and then framed it with Circle Nestabilities.

The DSP is Regal Rose (my all time favorite color) from Patterns Pack II, and the white brads are from American Crafts!! (Jacks...if you are reading this...I got you some and they are going postal on Monday!!).

I added just a touch of piercing, and stamped my sentiment, also from Sweet Spring, directly onto my DSP!

Thanks SO much for looking!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Sweet Spring by Taylored Expressions
Paper: Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, Choice White Cardstock and Regal Rose DSP from Patterns Pack II
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, White Brads from American Crafts, Paper Piercing Tool and Template, Copic Markers, Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon and Dimensionals

For Carole....and a chance to win!!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday!!! I have a Stamps and Smiles card to share with you today!!!

A week or two ago, when Stamps and Smiles debuted, my friend and fellow Dirty Dozen Alumni Carole (TruCarMa) commented on one of the bunny cards here on my blog. She said that it reminded her of a Christmas ornament she got the year her oldest son was born! She attached a little picture for me, and the second I saw it, I just knew I had to re-create it in a card for her!!!

Carole is one of the FUNNIEST people I *know*! She always makes me smile and I am so glad we became friends through our stint on the Dirty Dozen together!!

I hope you like this card Carole!!

This card was SOOOOO much fun to make, and I used three different Stamps and Smiles sets to make it! First, I stamped the Mama Bunny from Mama Bunny Loves Me and the little boy bunny from Egg Hunt on Choice White Cardstock (from Taylored Expressions!) in Memento Tuxedo Black, and I colored them both with my Copic Markers.

Using a craft knife, I CAREFULLY cut a slit on either side of Mama Bunny's arms in order to have enough room for her to actually HOLD her little boy bunny!!! Isn't that SO cute!! I was so happy to be able to actually make that work!!!

I paper pieced part of Mama Bunny's dress with some Delicate Dots DSP, which I what I used on the rest of my card!! I added some Bashful Blue striped ribbon and some So Saffron brads to finish off my card! The XOXO sentiment is from Eggstra Special!!

How would YOU like to win your very own Stamps and Smiles stamp set??? Jennifer has VERY GRACIOUSLY offered me a Cuppy Love set to give away right here!! Exciting right!! I LOVE Cuppy Love....SO cute and so much fun to color!!

All you have to do to win is leave a comment here, and I will use random.org to pick a winner tommorow night (March 8, 2009) at 8PM EST!! Good Luck!!!

Here is a pic of the Cuppy Love set!!! Totally cute right!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to Stamp and Smile!!!
