Bellarific Friday...on Sunday!!

Hi everyone! Happy Bellarific Friday on Sunday!!

Here is my card for this week's challenge, which was to make a card with a Winter Sport theme in honor of the 2010 Winter Olympics! Now...I am the LEAST athletic girl out there...I used to ski, then I got scared...so now I watch!! Snowbunnybella is SO me...cute outfit, standing around watching :)

I started by stamping Snowbunnybella by Stamping Bella in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Bella's Bestest Cream Paper and colored her with Copic Markers. I added Sugar Sparkly Fluff with a Quickie Glue Pen to her pockets, boots and hood. The rest of her was colored with Copic Markers.

The sentiment, Snow Bunny, is a Scraplines Ticket from Stamping Bella as well and all the paper is the delish Bloom & Grow paper by My Minds Eye!!

I added a bit of piercing and a double ribbon and called her done!!!

Make sure to head on over to Bloggabella and leave some love on this week's Bellarific Friday entries! One lucky commenter will win some Bella Bucks!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

See Beyond

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's sketch over at The Sweet Stop, SSS45!!!

My card today is a card that I made and am sending to Taylor for the Taylored Expressions Dragonfly Card Drive. The cards that are donated will be donated to the Neonatal Intensive Care nurses at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD where they use the dragonfly as a symbol of hope for families who have lost a child during delivery or in the early stages of life. Families are given a dragonfly card while they are in the hospital as something to hold on to, cherish, and comfort them after the quiet time spent with their son or daughter. In addition to a card, the parents receive a small ring with a poem, a prayer shawl for the mother (to symbolize God wrapping his loving arms around her), along with baby footprints and baby molds.

You can find all of the details for the Taylored Expressions Dragonfly Card Drive right HERE on Taylor's Blog! You can use ANY dragonfly image, it doesn't matter what stamp company it is from! Won't you consider making a card (or two!) for this cause?

I absolutely LOVE today's sketch at The Sweet Stop, and it was perfect for what I had in mind!!

For my card, I used Discover Your Wings from Taylored Expressions. All the patterned paper is from Ducks In A Row by October Afternoon and I layered each pattern with Choice Buttercream and Spring Willow Medium. I stamped the dragonfly in Memento Cottage Ivy onto Choice Buttercream and cut it out. I then added two coats of Aquamarine Shimmerz and the dragonfly is super shimmery in real life.

I chose the sentiment, "See Beyond", which is also from Discover Your Wings, and I finished off my card with some Artichoke PolyTwill Ribbon and Bling from the TE Store that I colored olive with a Copic Marker.

I don't often finish the inside of my cards, but I find this Helen Keller quote so inspiring and appropriate for the reason for this card. It reads "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart". This is also from the gorgeous Discover Your Wings set!

There She Goes is all about the Hunny Bunnies & Bear Hugs!!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!! Today is the last day of sneak peeks for the newest There She Goes release!!

I hope you made your way here from Jessie's Blog! If not, please head on over to Jessica's Blog and start the hop from the beginning!!

Today, the Trendsetters get to share peeks of two darling new sets with you, Hunny Bunnies & Bear Hugs!! The way Jessica designed these sets is just ingenius! Wait until you see all the images and how they mix and match and fit inside each other!!

For my first card today, I used Hunny Bunnies! I started by stamping this GORGEOUS Easter basket in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored the entire image with Copic Markers. I added some touches of a Clear Spica Glitter Pen to accents on the eggs in the basket, but it is hard to see here. I had SO much fun coloring this image!!
I cut out the image and framed it with Oval and Scallop Oval Nestabilities and the paper is from Pretty Please by My Minds Eye.
A double ribbon and some adhesive pearls finish this one off along with a border with my much loved Apron Lace Punch! I stamped the sentiment, "Hope you have an eggstra-special Easter!" directly onto the patterned paper.

My second card today features the darling Bear Hugs mini set!
I started with stamping the large teddy bear in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. I then stamped the smalled teddy bear, also in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and colored it with Copic Markers as well. I cut the little guy out and popped him up on some foam tape.
These were designed so that the smaller teddy (and other images in the set!) fit directly into the big teddy bears arms! SOOOO super sweet!!
I LOVE the sentiment on this..."When all else fails, hug your teddy bear". Isn't that the cutest? All the paper is from Ducks In A Row by October Afternoon and the sketch is one of Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketches from a week or two ago, SSSC56!
The next stop on this fabulous hop is over at Julie's Blog!!!
Would you like a chance to win both of these amazing new sets? It's easy to get that chance! Simply leave some love for all of the Trendsetter's cards for this hop and when you are done, add your info to Mr. Linky over at the There She Goes Blog for this hop. There She Goes Makes A Wish!

Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday!!! Welcome to day #2 of sneak peeks for the newest There She Goes Release!!

I hope you made your way here from Jessie's Blog! If not, please head on over to Jessica's Blog and start the hop from the beginning!!

Today, the Trendsetters get to share an AWESOME new set with you all, Make A Wish! This set is now my official favorite TSG set...EVER (well...maybe until tomorrow...wink!!). This set has a total of 65 STAMPS! Yes...65 stamps and it will sell for only $23.00!!

For my card, I started with today's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC269. I stamped the cake dish, the cake and the numbers 91 in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored all the elements with Copic Markers. I stamped the banner and the sentiment separately, also on Choice Buttercream, colored it with Copics as well and then cut it out and popped it up on foam tape. I LOVE this banner and there are SOOOOOO many sentiments that will fit perfectly in it!

Aren't the numbered candles darling? This card is for my Nani who will be celebrating her 91st Birthday this April. She is AMAZING...still drives, LOVES to shop (only Ralph Lauren thank you very much) and is VERY fashionable and with it! I think she is going to love this card!!

All the paper is the GORGEOUS new Garden Variety from Cosmo Cricket that my sweet friend Ann surprised me with (thanks girl!!!). I added some crystal glitter to the candles, some of the polka dots on the cake and on parts of the banner. I used my white gel pen to add some accents to the cake and I love how it makes it pop. Some yellow twill ribbon and twinkles finish this one off!!

The next stop on this fabulous hop is over at Julie's Blog!!!

There She Goes Peeks Begin!!!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!! Today starts the sneak peeks of FIVE amazing new sets from There She Goes! Are you ready???

I hope you made your way here from Jessie's Blog! If not, please head on over to Jessica's Blog and start the hop from the beginning!!

Today, the Trendsetters are sharing not one, but two new sets with you, Dance and Beautiful Spring! I adore both of these!!

For my first card, I used Dance. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this saying..."Dance as if no one is watching, Laugh, it's medicine for the soul, Love like you've never been hurt, Love like it's Heaven on earth". Isn't that gorgeous!! This set also has some lovely floral images, but I wanted this saying as my focal point. The layout is my sweet pal Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC57, and I started by stamping the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock. I stamped the leaves from Dance in Memento New Leaf behind the sentiment for some interest, and used Circle Nestabilities to cut it out.

All the patterned paper is from Origins by Basic Grey, and I finished off my card with some luscious wide Black Silk Ribbon and I added Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to bling it up a bit!!! I used a different stitch on my sewing machine for this card and it actually looks like scallops...pretty cool!

My second card features Beautiful Spring!! I had so much fun making this card! The layout is Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge, MTSC62 and I started by stamping the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and colored them with Copic Markers. It didn't photograph at all, but I added some shimmer with a Spica Clear Glitter Pen to the flowers.

The paper is Ooh La La by My Minds Eye and I added some stitching, pearls and silk ribbon to this one!!! The sentiment, "Take time to smell the flowers" was stamped on a die cut from Ooh La La and I love how it looks!!!

The next stop on this fabulous hop is over at Julie's Blog!!!

Would you like a chance to win BOTH of these awesome new sets? It's easy to get that chance! Simply leave some love for all of the Trendsetter's cards for this hop and when you are done, add your info to Mr. Linky over at the There She Goes Blog for this hop. A Flower For You!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday!!

I see SO many people ROCKIN' Kraft cardstock lately, so I decided to dust mine off and USE it on a card instead of looking at it!!! (grin!!).

For my card, I started by stamping this FABULOUS flower/teacup image from Stamping Bella, Teacup Daisies, in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Bella's Bestest Cream Paper.

I colored the entire image with Copic Markers and then cut it out with Classic Oval Nestabilities. I sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe to soften it up a bit.

The patterned paper is Girl Friday by Cosmo Cricket and all the colors in the image were pulled from the paper.

I stamped the sentiment, A Flower For You, which is from Turtle Tots - Picking Posies, in Memento Tuxedo Black onto the Kraft panel, and I gave the edge a border with the Apron Lace Punch.

I finished this one off with a big bow of Pink Pirouette Striped Ribbon and some Twinkles!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

A Laugh Is A Smile That Bursts!!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's sketch challenge at The Sweet Stop, SSS44!! Today's sketch is a Sketch With A Spin...to use flowers!!!

For my card, I started with a piece of Girl Friday patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket. I then picked some crocheted flowers that my mom made (thanks Mom!!!), that matched the paper.

I added a button to the center of each flower, and the sentiment, "A laugh is a smile that bursts" is from Flowers of Happiness by There She Goes.

Here's To You!

Hi everyone!! Happy Bellarific Friday!!

Today's challenge is a color challenge, brought to you by Moi! I chose a fun (I think!!) combo of Aqua, Orange and Pink!!

For my card, I used my favorite (for right this second) paper, Pretty Please by My Minds Eye!!

I stamped Hannah Lollipop by Stamping Bella in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Bella's Bestest Cream Paper and colored her with Copic Markers. I also paper pieced her dress with the same pattern of Pretty Please that I used on the upper portion of my card.

I totally channelled my sweet friend and fellow Bella Babe, Joannabella, with the cut out and angled sentiment, as well as a big bow.

I sewed EACH of the layers...including the oval panel with Hannah! That was...shall we say, tricky :)

I added a border with my Apron Lace Punch and added some yummy orange polka dot ribbon!!

Make sure to head on over to Bloggabella and leave some love for today's creations! One lucky commenter will win some Bella Bucks!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Got Wheels?

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!!

Do you ever go to get a "boy" card and realize that you have NONE in your stash? Well, that's just what happened to me, so I am now on a quest to bulk up my stash of "boy" cards!!

Who is more perfect to use for a "boy" card than Ethan Lollipop by Stamping Bella? I LOVE him!! I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored him with Copic Markers.

All the papers are from The Boyfriend by Cosmo Cricket, and the super cool "Got Wheels" cardstock sticker is also from this same collection!!

I used my spiral punch on the edge of the looseleaf pattern (which I totally LOVE) and distressed it a bit.

The cardstock sticker was attached with blue brads, which I also used on the top of the looseleaf panel as well!

There is still time to enter a card for tomorrow's Bellarific Friday Challenge, which is a color challenge of aqua, pink & orange!! Make sure to get your card to Emily by this evening so you can be entered!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Center of Attention Product Spotlight - Impressabilities

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!!

Today, several members of the Baker's Dozen are sharing an AWESOME product with you...Spellbinders Impressabilities! I LOVE these and have quite a few (grin!) in my collection!!

The Spellbinders Impressabilities are a metal template that can be used for a variety of applications. I mostly use mine in my Cuttlebug to create texture on my paper. My absolute FAVORITE aspect of the Impressabilities are the patterns! They come in a variety of GORGEOUS patterns and styles!

For my first card today, I used the Letterpress With Impressabilities technique, an awesome tutorial from Beate on SCS! I started by stamping a white craft ink pad directly onto my Flowers Impressabilities and then ran it through the Cuttlebug with the sandwich listed in the tutorial. I LOVE the soft embossed look I achieved!! I used the gorgeous Discover Your Wings set as I really LOVE how well it works with the Flowers Impressabilities!

For my second card, I ran the Flowers Impressabilies through the Cuttlebug and just embossed the pattern. I LOVE how soft, yet perfectly textured it is!!

The layout for this card is TESC100!! Did you see the AWESOME contest going on over at Taylor's Blog??? Check it out, try your hand at the sketch by this Friday at 8:00 AM PST and you could possibly be one of the five winners that will be awarded a $25.00 Gift Certificate to the TE Store!!!

I used my all time favorite Cuppie for my card...he is from A Year of Sweets II, and the sentiment, "You Brighten My Day" is from A Year of Sweet Sentiments. I colored Cuppie with Copic Markers and the paper is a mix of patterns from Ducks In A Row by October Afternoon. All the layers were sewn with my sewing machine!!

Check out the what the rest of the BD crew have done with Spellbinders Impressabilities right here!

Charmaine Ikach

Love Beyond Measure!

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!!

Here is my card for today's There She Goes Challenge, TSG41, which is a fab color challenge of red, pink & brown! LOVE these colors together!! This is also loosely based on last week's sketch challenge on SCS, SC266, and also fits the Crazy 4 Challenges C4C23, create a Valentine's themed card!

For my card, I used my current favorite set from There She Goes (every month a new set becomes my favorite, but I really truly ADORE this set...it may be my all time fav TSG set!!), Chemistry! This set is TOO much fun to play with!!

I started by stamping the beakers in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and colored them with Copic Markers. After coloring them, I added Crystal Transaparent Glitter to the "liquid" in each beaker with a Quickie Glue Pen. I LOVE how shimmery this is!! I cut out my image with Rectangle Nestabilities and framed it with Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities. The edges were sponged with Memento Canteloupe & Memento Tangelo. The sentiment, "I love you beyond measure", is also from Chemistry and I used the same nesties and inks to sponge as I did my focal panel.

All the papers are the super yummy Be Loved by My Minds Eye. I added some stitched ribbon that I picked up at my LSS and finished off the card with two Chocolate Brads. Yum!!

Make sure you head on over to the TSG blog and check out the other cards for this challenge! Play along and you will automatically be entered to win a $5.00 Gift Certificate to the There She Goes Store!!

Bellarific Friday...on Saturday!!!

**Please scroll down for my Sweet Stop Sketch Card** Thanks!!

Hi everyone! Happy Bellarific Friday...on Saturday! (grin!!)

This week's Bellarific Challenge was an AWESOME sketch...my favorite kind of challenge!!

For my card, I used the darling kittycatabella from Stamping Bella for my card. This stamp was a must have for me...I am a TOTAL cat kind of girl! We lost our sweet Zack this past December but we still have three cats that share our home, Kharma, Elphaba & Gus Gus.

I stamped kittycatabella onto Bella's Bestest Cream paper and colored her with Copic Markers. I stamped the sentiment, "they followed me home..." (how funny is that!!) on a curve once I cut kittycatabella out with Classic Oval Nestabilities. I lightly sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe to make the oval pop.

All the patterned papers on my card are from the Origins line by Basic Grey and I kept it super simple with just three black brads as an accent!!

Make sure you head on over to Bloggabella and check out all the submissions for this week's challenge!! One lucky commenter will win some Bella Bucks!!

Next week's Bellarific Friday Challenge is to create a Valentine's Day Card!! Play along and one lucky participant will also win some Bella Bucks! Check out Bloggabella for all the deets!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Thinking Of You!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's sketch at The Sweet Stop, SSS42!

I had SO much fun making this card! It was also really simple as I used the largest Scallop Circle Nestabilities to create the card base!

I used the new Origins by Basic Grey as my patterned paper choice (LOVE this line!!) and I stamped "Thinking Of You", from Nature of Friendship by There She Goes onto Choice Snow White Cardstock. I then stamped the large leaf, also from Nature of Friendship, three times in Memento Cottage Ivy after stamping off once each time. I cut out my panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and sponged around the edges with Memento Desert Sand.

I created a border with my Apron Lace Punch (love this punch!!) and added three black Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to the focal panel. I finished off the card with a yummy Origins Bloomers, also from Basic Grey!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday and Happy Release Day at Taylored Expressions!!

Today is the day that you can get all the new stamps, and the Bakery Sampler, at Taylored Expressions!!

I have two more cards to share with you today, once again using the adorable Stamps A la Carte, Whimsical Wishes Animals In Love!!! I just cannot put these down!!

For my first card, I just HAD to ink up the turtles (I have a "thing" for turtles...I even have a turtle tattoo...shhh!!) Aren't they just too cute??? I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and colored them with Copic Markers. I cut them out with a Classic Oval Nestabilities and spoinged the edges with Memento Canteloupe. All the patterned paper on this card is from the Girl Friday Collection by Cosmo Cricket! I sewed each layer and finished this one off with a double ribbon (shocker!).

For my second card, I used these darling little dogs!! I love them! Once again, I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and colored them with Copic Markers.

I framed my image with Square and Scalloped Square Nestabilities, and the sentiment, "It's A Love Thing" from Animals In Love Sentiments, was stamped and then cut apart...I love the look of this but hardly ever do it! Another double bow and some dry embossing and this card is done!!!

Today the Baker's Dozen will be showing you another exciting development at Taylored Expressions - Stamps A la Carte! TE will now be offering you a single serving of sweetness in the same top quality deeply etched pink rubber you love! For February we have 8 irresistible Whimsical Wishes Animals in Love! These stamps can be yours for only $6.95 each!

There is also an AMAZING new sentiment set, Animals In Love Sentiments, that coordinate perfectly with these new Stamps A la Carte!! I LOVE all of these animals, and they are SO perfect for so many occassions...Valentine's Day, Love, Anniversary, Birthday...any occassion at all!

I have two cards to share with you today! These animals are SO fun! For my first card, I used the snakes! Aren't they so super cute? I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers.

I cut them out with Classic Circle Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe. I wanted to keep this layout super simple to showcase the snakes, so I went with a Suede Dark Brown panel with a strip of Nook & Pantry by Basic Grey to dress it up. The sentiment, "You Rattle My Chain" (giggle...love that!) is from Animal Love Sentiments, also being released tomorrow!!

For my second card, I could hardly wait to ink up these darling elephants! I just love them! I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. I then, with my Quickie Glue Pen, added Crystal Transparent Glitter to all of the hearts...it's super sparkly in real life!!

The sentiment, "Smooches" is also from Animal Love Sentiments, and I stamped it directly onto my Pretty Please paper by My Minds Eye. I added some stitching to each panel and finished this off with some pearls and a double ribbon!!!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Begin!!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!! Today is the 1st day of Sneak Peeks of the newest Taylored Expressions release!! I can't wait for you all to see what Taylor has in store this month!!

Taylored Expressions continues to grow and get better and better! We are so excited about the addition of our newest line of rubber stamps - Apple Doodle Ink. We think you'll love the fun cartoon style of ADI.

We have two stamp sets to launch this line: Window Shopping and Bakery Business. You're going to have so much fun building scenes with Tena in her bakery and we promise you'll get a ton of use out of those windows with more coordinating Apple Doodle Ink sets coming in the near future!

For my first card, I used Window Shopping & Bakery Business...and these sets go PERFECTLY together!!! Isn't this cupcake toting Tena just darling?? I started by stamping the window and I then added all the elements, all in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White, and all the images are colored with Copic Markers.

The Bakery Window got a coat of Glossy Accents and it's super shiny in real life!!!

For my second project today, I only used images from Bakery Business! This set is tooo cute and it's perfect for recipe cards, gift cards...anything you can think of!

I started with a Kraft Apron Die Cut (how cute is this!!) which is part of the The Bakery Sampler, which will be available, along with all the new stamps, on Friday, February 5!

I stamped the pie image from Bakery Business (love this image!) in Close to Cocoa all over the Apron Die Cut. I then adhered a strip of patterned paper from Farm Fresh by October Afternoon and created a border with my Apron Lace Punch. Love the vintage-y feel of this!!!

I stamped Tena in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock, colored her with Copic Markers and then cut her out. I popped her up on a piece of Choice Buttercream Cardstock that I cut out with Curved Rectangles Nestabilities. I finished this off with some delish printed twill and a pot holder chipboard shape, both of which are also included in the Bakery Sampler!!

I think I will add a recipe in the apron and give this to my mom with a batch of Penne ala Vodka...the one dish I have mastered (and it's also her absolute favorite!!).

Head on over to the rest of the Baker's Dozen Blogs to see what they have cooked up today!

Birthday Girl!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!

Here is my card for this past Sunday's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC54! I never seem to do these sketches on Sundays...:)

For my card, I used this super adorable little gal, My Balloon (which I think may be sold out...I was trying to link it but I don't see it!), from My Favorite Things! I indulged in quite a few of these little sweeties at CHA...and I got to meet Kim, the MFT Lady too! She is SUPER sweet...I was so excited to meet her!

I stamped My Balloon in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White and colored her with Copic Markers. I paper pieced her dress with the same paper I used on my card, Pretty Please from My Minds Eye (told you this was my new obsession!!!).

I sewed each layer with my sewing machine and added the border with my Apron Lace Punch. I added four white brads, one to each corner, and some Whisper White Organdy Ribbon. The little cutie was cut out with Class Circle Nestabilities and I lightly sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe.

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Sneak peeks for the latest Taylored Expressions release begin tomorrow!!!

You Are Unique!

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!!

I have a Stamping Bella card to share with you all today, and I have to admit, I LOVE this image!!!

For my card, I used You Are Unique, a simply delightful image illustrated by Christy Croll (I wish I could draw like her!!). I had an absolute BLAST coloring this image in! It took me a while to color but I really love it!

I stamped the image (the entire panel is one stamp, but you could cut them and just one, or two, or even three of the girls) with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored the entire image with Copic Markers.

The sentiment, "You Are Unique", comes with the image...LOVE that!! The paper is a mix of my fav papers, Report Card and Farm Fresh by October Afternoon. I used Black to mat all my layers (I LOVE how Joannabella does that!) and finished this off with a border made with my Apron Lace Punch (love this punch!) and a double ribbon! Three black brads at the top call this one done!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Paper: Frosted Teal, Basic Black, Choice Buttercream, Report Card and Farm Fresh by October Afternoon
