Hope and a Future...

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday...again! LOL!

I have been frantically working on swaps for an SU! meeting I am going to on Saturday (doesn't that sounds like fun? I have never been to one so I am excited!), and I am just now getting to do the Viva La Verve Week 4 Sketch Challenge, VLVJan04! The twist for this sketch was to use flowers!!

For some reason, I tend to use Kiwi on all my Verve challenge cards...weird right? Well, for this one, I only have a few Primas that I actually like, and they are green...so there you go! Kiwi again!!

I used one of the newly released Verve sets, Jeremiah 29:11 for this card. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black onto PTI White Cardstock, and then stamped the cross behind the sentiment in Kiwi Kiss.

The polka dot paper is from the Sabrina Collection by Making Memories, and the Primas are Fabric Fancies in Jade. I ran the black panels through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. Notice...I did not pierce a thing on this card! Go Jodi!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

A Hundred Hearts...

Would be too few to carry all my love for you!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this sentiment! Doesn't it sound like something Edward would say to me...er, I mean Bella? Sigh...

Hi everyone! Here is my card for yesterday's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC213, and for today's Ways to Use it Challenge, WT203, Bottoms Up!, which was to use something with alcohol on your card. I used my Copic Markers to color the heart!!

I used Hundred Hearts by Verve Stamps for this card, and after I stamped the sentiment, I stamped the heart in Real Red after stamping off once on a piece of scratch paper. I then, using my Two Way Glue Pen, added Dazzling Diamonds to both the heart behind the sentiment, and to the small heart in the hardware.

The DSP is Real Red from Patterns Pack, and I added some Black Gingham Ribbon from May Arts. The hardware WAS Styled Silver, but I colored it with a sharpie so it would match my Black, Red & White theme.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Prettie Wednesday!!

Hi everyone! Happy Prettie Wednesday!

Two weeks ago, Jana challenged the Prettie Girls to a scrapbook challenge! Now, I am NOT a scrapbooker, but I had SO much fun with this! Sophia reminds me of my little Meredith, so I went with an Easter theme!!
Here are the deets of Jana's challenge (pretend you don't see the one about layers! LOL!!)
1 dry embossed piece (embossing folders and texture plates count!)2 pieces of patterened paper3 colors of solid cardstock (this includes any neutrals you use)4 embellishments5 layersSo, the dry embossed piece must be one of your patterned papers or your 3 colors. And, at no point should there by more than 4 layers under a top piece of cardstock. However, if you have your base card with a second layer on that...you may have multiple small pieces each with 2 layers under them...right? Oh...and you may use as many tools as you like. Guess this isn't so much limited as just very specific!
You can see what all the other Prettie's have done for this challenge here!!
Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Pattern Pizzazz!!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Here is my card for today's Ways To Use It Challenge on SCS, WT202, Pattern Pizzazz!! This is SUCH a fun challenge!! We had to take our existing patterned paper and add some pizzazz to it! I LOVED this challenge!!

I used Georgia Peach DSP for my card (I am SO bummed that this DSP didn't make the new catty), and using my Two Way Glue Pen, I added Dazzling Diamonds to all the flower centers! I absolutely LOVE the punch that it gives this paper!!

I used this cute little skunk from Pun Fun, which still remains one of my favorite SU! sets!! I watercolored him with SU! Inks and an Aquapainter, and there is a little dot of Dazzling Diamonds in the center of the flower he is holding!!

I split the sentiment up so it would fit in my small oval punch (LOVE doing that) and added some So Saffron Brads and So Saffron Polytwill Ribbon!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Stamps: Pun Fun
Paper: Regal Rose, So Saffron, Whisper White & Georgia Peach DSP

Prettie Wednesday...Chalk It Up...

Hi everyone! Happy Prettie Wednesday!

Two weeks ago, Charmaine challenged us to make a card using pastels/chalks...now, PLEASE let me preface this by saying that I have NEVER colored with chalks (and you can totally tell by my card!!). I WAS going to tell you that Meredith colored this, but I will fess up and admit that I did! This sure was a challenge for me!!!

I used Simply Special and colored the image (if you can call it coloring...) with Stampin' Pastels. I layered it on some circle nesties and the DSP is the retired SU! Petals & Paisley (can you tell I am trying to use up old DSP to make room for more? LOL).

This card is on it's way to Jackie R! You can see what all the other Pretties, including the newest Prettie Girls, Frances & Christi, did with this challenge right here!!

Always!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!! Here is my card for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC212!!!

On this card, the DSP does ALL the work...the only stamping that I did is the sentiment in the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware!! The sentiment is from Always (the circle stamp with the a) and, using my Not Quite Navy Stampin' Write Marker, I just inked up the word Always, stamped it on some Urban Garden DSP and punched it out with my small oval punch.

All the DSP on this card is Urban Garden, and I added some piercing around the larger layer. For my focal image, I cut out a Not Quite Navy flower from the DSP and popped it up on Dimensionals.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Regal Kisses, Bravo!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! I just LOVE the name of this week's Color Challenge on SCS, Regal Kisses, Bravo! LOL! Totally makes me laugh! So, here is my card for today's Color Challenge, CC202!

For this card, I started out by stamping the image from Dreams Du Jour twice onto Whisper White cardstock. I watercolored the flowers and then cut them out and popped them up. I also added some Dazzling Diamonds to them with my Two Way Glue Pen.

I knew I wanted to different colors on my Top Note background, so I just cut it twice, once with Regal Rose and once with Kiwi Kiss, and then I just trimmed my Kiwi Kiss panel and covered the seam with some Bravo Burgundy Ribbon!! Easy Peasy! The backgrounds are stamped with Tres Chic, my all time FAVORITE background stamp!! I finished off the card with two Styled Silver Brads and a supah sparkly butterfly!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Stamps: Dreams Du Jour & Tres Chic
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Bravo Burgundy, Regal Rose & Whisper White

My Dear Kind & Wonderful Friend!

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday! Here is my card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS, FS102, which honors Lori Craig aka stamp_momma! I was so excited to see that Lori is being featured, I am a huge fan of hers!!!

I chose to case her AWESOME Baroque Prayers card...I found her design to be SO striking and elegant!! As per the rules of the FS challenge, I changed the following:

1. I changed the color from Regal Rose to Kiwi Kiss
2. I used a different sentiment
3. I added some extra layers (you know I LOVE me some layers!!)
4. I added a layer to the sentiment panel and also added some brads

I ADORE how she did three brads on one corner of her card, so I kept that feature, as well as the design of her card!! I am SO glad that I cased this card...now I finally used my Baroque stamp that I just had to have (isn't that always the way!!!)

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Viva La Verve Week Three!!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!! I have been working on this card ALL day! LOL!! Meredith wasn't cooperating so I am just able to finish it up and post it now!!

This is my card for the Viva La Verve Sketch Challenge #3, with a twist of pink, VLVJan03!! I LOVE this sketch and had alot of fun making this card using the new Hearts on Fire set by Verve Stamps!!

The paper is from Georgia Peach DSP, and I layered it with Regal Rose, Whisper White & Pink Pirouette. I stamped the hearts onto PTI White with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored them with Copic Markers, and then, using my Two Way Glue Pen, added some shimmer with Baby's Breath Ultrafine Transparant Glitter from Art Institute Glitter. This glitter ROCKS in my opinion...the best glitter I have ever used!!!

I added some piercing, and put my sentiment a bit lower than in the sketch so I didn't have to cover up a heart, and added a ribbon knot!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Fashionably Inspired!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday! Here is my card for today's Inspiration Challenge on SCS, IC163! Our inspiration this week is PB Teen! They have THE most gorgeous stuff in this catalog!! It was so hard to pick, but as soon as I saw this Varsity Cheer set, I knew what I wanted to do!!

I used my Sweet Always DSP for this card (perfect right!!), and I used the Humor In High Heels set. I stamped the dress and watercolored it with SU! inks and an Aquapainter. I love the combo of the stripes and polka dots...they make me happy!!

I added piercing around the focal panel and across the center panel, which is also scalloped with the Scallop Edge Punch. I added some yummy Pumpkin Pie Striped Ribbon and a bit of Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon, and a few Styled Silver Hodgepodge Brads.

I made this card while stamping with my friend Ann tonight!! She chose a different inspiration for her card, you can check out her blog, Stamp With Me, here!! We had ALOT of laughs tonight...it's SO much fun to stamp with someone else (especially Ann, who loves to laugh at my OCD issues...you know, my alphabatized stamps, my cardstock in the SU! catty order...that type of stuff!!)
Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

New Verve and some CRAZY colors!!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Here is my card for today's Ways To Use It Challenge on SCS, WT201, which was to use a website to pick a color combo, and also for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge, Mojo69!!

I received my new Verve stamps today (whoo hoo!! And I WON them too...how AWESOME is that?????) and I used the newly released Hundred Hearts set!! I LOVE this Winnie The Pooh quote!!! I went to http://www.colourlovers.com/ to pick out my color combo, and I really wanted to go different, so I chose the Conspicuous Creep color combo!! Crazy!! I took these colors as Taken With Teal, Pink Passion, Certainly Celery, White & Black...and just went with it!!

I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black onto PTI White cardstock, and cut it out with my circle nestabilities. I then stamped the outline heart in both Pink Passion and Certainly Celery around the sentiment. I stamped the hearts in Memento Tuxedo also and first punched them out with a 3/4 Inch Circle Punch, and then layered them with black cardstock I cut with my nesties. I added two coats of Candelight Shimmerz to the solid and the outline hearts, and in real life it really...well, shimmerz!!! The background panels were run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder, and I added a little touch of black gingham ribbon!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!!

Happy {{case a}} Prettie Wednesday!!

Hi everyone! Happy Prettie Wednesday!! Two weeks ago, the super fabu Jules challenged the Prettie Girls to quite a fun challenge! We had to pick a Prettie card and case it!! Awesome challenge Jules!!

I chose to case this GORGEOUS card made by Jessie!! I LOVE that she used Sweets for the Sweet, and I don't use mine nearly enough!! I started by stamping the image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto PTI White Cardstock. I then colored the image with my Copic Markers. I layered my image in Circle Nestabilities.
I used the Sweet Always DSP from SU! and my Scallop Edge Punch for the border. I ran my white panel through the cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots panel ala Jessie, and added Regal Rose, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbons!!!
The only thing I changed from Jessie's card are the colors, dsp and I omitted the piercing around the edges! I also think that her card may be square, while mine is the standard A2 size!!
My card is on it's way to Jackie R!!! You can see all the other {{Case A}} Prettie Wednesday cards right here!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a Prettie Day!!

Back to where it all began...

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday! Here is my card for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC211!!

I have received my new SU! Catty and am SOOOOOOOOOO super excited about it!!! I thought I would pull out the 2nd SU! set I ever bought (the first was Cool Cat...and I still have it!!) Heartfelt Thanks and use it for this sketch! I still LOVE this set!!

I stamped the flowers from Heartfelt Thanks in Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss for the stems. I then stamped the outline stamp in Chocolate Chip!! I added some Dazzling Diamonds with my Two Way Glue Pen for some shimmer!!

The DSP is Bella Rose, and for my two corner embellishments, I chose to use two different things. For the top one, I used a Flower Fusion Felt Flower in Old Olive (but I think it's pretty close to Kiwi Kiss!), I stamped one of the tiny flowers from Always in Chocolate Chip onto Whisper White and punched it out with a 1/2 Inch Circle Punch. I then layered it onto a 3/4 Circle Punch of Pink Pirouette, and added it to the Flower Fusion Flower with a Styled Silver Brad. For the bottom one, I stamped the Always sentiment from Always onto Bella Rose DSP and then layered it on 1 1/4 & 1 3/8 Circle Punches. I, of course, added some piercing (I really just cannot help myself!!) and two ribbon knots of Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon on the corners!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!! I can't wait to place my SU! Order!! Woo Hoo!!!

In my happy little world...

...nothing on this card is crooked! LOL!! So, do me a favor and pretend that nothing is crooked too...OK? Thanks!!!

Here is my card for today's Color Challenge on SCS, CC201, Not Quite Breezy Krafts!!! Now, in theory, I LOVE this color combo, but for some reason, I just couldn't make it work the way I wanted it to...don't ya hate it when that happens?
For this card, I used the Always set (which I LOVE) and stamped the heart twice, once on Not Quite Navy cardstock and once on Urban Garden DSP. I then cut out the smaller part of the heart from the Urban Garden DSP and adhered it to the Not Quite Navy heart. I added some piercing under the sentiment and some Earth Elements Brads. I also used my slot punch to thread in my Baja Breeze Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. I also used my spankin' new Top Note Die courtesy of Miss Jessie (MWAH Jess!!!), and I really, really, REALLY love it!!!
On a side note, can I just say....I GOT MY NEW SU! CATTY!!! WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!! Someone at SU! must have been listening to my wishes, as they FINALLY added an embellishment I have been LONGING for!!!! There is SOOOOO much I want from this catty! I am SO excited!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Viva La Verve #2!!

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday!!

Here is my card for sketch #2 in the Viva La Verve Sketch Challenge, VLVJan02!! This week's twist on the sketch was to add bling!! Months ago, while shopping at my LSS, I came across a MEGA bag of rhinestones in the general crafting area, so I pulled them out to use on this card.

I used Fluttering By and the paper is Urban Garden DSP by SU! The butterfly was stamped in Kiwi Kiss onto GP White Cardstock, cut out and popped up onto layered circle punches. I added bling on the body of the butterfly, as well as under the sentiment and on the other two panels. The yummy ribbon is Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon from SU!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Paper: Basic Grey, Kiwi Kiss, GP White & Urban Garden DSP
Ink: Kiwi Kiss and Memento Tuxedo

Bloomin' For You!

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday! Here is my card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS, FS101, which honors jaydekay!!! I LOVE her gallery, and it was really difficult to choose one card to case!!

I decided to case her *Out Of The box Pinks* card, which is TOTAL gorgeousness!!! Here is what I did!!

I kept her GORGEOUS layout and design and used the same stamp set...

*I changed my color to Pink Pirouette with the black and white instead of the Purely Pomegranate she used.
* I added a sentiment
* I added brads
* I added paper piercing
* I used a different border
* I omitted the bumble bee
* I watercolored my flowers instead of using Prismacolor Pencils & Gamsol

I started my card with a base panel of Basic Black, a panel of Whisper White and then a panel of Basic Black & Pink Pirouette. I used the Scallop Edge Punch on the Basic Black panel so you can see the Pink Pirouette on the bottom. On the focal panel, I started by stamping the flowers from Bloomin' Beautiful in Basic Black onto Whisper White Cardstock. I then stamped five flowers onto a separate piece of Whisper White Cardstock, watercolored them using my Aquapainter and Pink Pirouette, and then Riding Hood Red ink. I then cut out the flowers and adhered them to the focal panel, some with dimensionals, some with glue. I added some gold elastic cord just like jaydekay did...

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Stamps: Bloomin' Beautiful and All Holidays
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Basic Black & Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Pink Pirouette & Riding Hood Red

Sending You Sunshine!!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday! It is SUPER cold and snowing here on Long Island tonight!! Brrrrr!! I thought I would warm up with a sunny kind of card!!

So, I am an instant gratification kind of gal, and my Stamp A Sweet Impression order from Taylored Expressions came today...so of course I had to get these little cupcakes inky!!!!!

For this card, I used A Year of Sweets 2, LOVE this little sunbathing cupcake, and the sentiment is from A Year of Sweet Sentiments!!! I stamped the image twice in Memento Tuxedo Black (Thanks Jess!!! I LOVE this ink!!), and colored it with Copic Markers. I then cut out and popped up the umbrella, cupcake, beach ball and suntan lotion!!! SO fun!!!

I used my circle nesties to cut out and frame the image, and the DSP is Summer Picnic from SU!

I finished the card off with some piercing (which I didn't do on my last two cards...shocked aren't ya?) and some Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Bow To Her Royal Rubberness!!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!!

So, I have committed a terrible faux pas!! Last Sunday's Featured Stamper, FS100, on SCS was Her Royal Rubberness, JulieHRR, and I am just now doing my card (BAD JODI!!!) I have a special place in my heart for the wonderful Julie...she was the one who sent me the PM to ask me to join the Dirty Dozen!! (I saved that PM for sure!!!), so I just had to do this challenge!! I was out all day last Sunday, and was bummed I didn't get to play the same day as the challenge!!

I chose Julie's To A Sweet Friend card to case!! I have the HARDEST time doing one layer cards, so to start, I added some more layers!! I used different stamps, but similar images with the hearts. I kept her color scheme and red gingham ribbon!! I used Double Line Doodles (which I just HAD to have, and watercolored the heart with Real Red SU! Ink and an Aquapainter. I then added some Dazzling Diamonds after putting some glue down with my 2 Way Glue Pen. I cut out the scallop circle around the heart and popped it up onto dimensionals on the Bashful Blue 1 3/8 Circle. I added some white gel pen dots to the Real Red Scallop Circle Punch. I used my 1/2 Inch Circle Punch to create the circle on the bottom, and the little heart is from Short & Sweet, which I also watercolored and added Dazzling Diamonds to.
I really wanted to keep this card clean & simple, an ode to Julie, so I refrained from paper piercing (but I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally wanted to!! LOL!!)
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Don't Break My Heart!!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! Here is my very late submission for today's Limited Supply Challenge on SCS, LSC202, Don't Break My Heart!! Here are the deets on the challenge:

*Stamps: Any (bonus points for using a heart image!) (I used the always controversial Sock Monkey for my card...I totally LOVE him...and of course, he is holding a heart!!)

*Paper: any + red...any shade of red (I went with Red, Black & White!)

*if you use a punch or die it must be heart shaped The only punch I used was the Scallop Edge...which looks the the top of a heart :) (am I reaching on that one???)

*if you use embossing folders...they must have a heart (no embossing folder for me...this is a SUO!)

*if you use an accessory it MUST be heart shaped or red (OK...so I really wanted to use some brads, but I am out of Real Red ones...sooo....I used the heart from Short & Sweet and made them my *brads* instead!!)

*if you use designer paper...yup you guessed it, red or hearts! (I made my own *designer paper* by stamping the heart from Sock Monkey repeatedly for the background!)

The Sock Monkey and all the hearts were watercolored with my SU! Inks and an Aquapainter. The heart that he is holding was stamped twice, cut out and popped up on dimensionals. I also added Dazzling Diamonds to that heart, and the small ones as well. The ribbon is from Jersey Ribbon Originals.

Speaking of hearts...did you check out the latest Verve release??? Guess who won the ENTIRE months release??? Yeppers...ME!!! I am SOOOOOOOO excited!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Looking For The Love...and the Bright Side!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!! Here is my card for Challenge #4 at the Verve Stamps Looking For Love Release Challenge, VSLFL4!!

For this card, I took Julee's sketch VERY literally...I even used the colors!!! I started with my Soft Sky panel, which I stamped the background stamp from Snow Wonderful in Versamark and then embossed with White Embossing Powder. I don't have those fancy label nesties, so I just started with a square of Soft Sky, notched the edges with my 1/4 Inch Square Punch, and then did the same for white and black panels. I stamped the Soft Sky panel with the butterflies from Fluttering By in Soft Sky. I then stamped the polka dot butterfly in black onto white cs, and then again onto vellum. I cut them both out and popped them up with dimensionals. I added some decorative piercing with my spankin' new Ornare Piercing Stencil, that my bestest bud Jessie got me for my birthday (thanks girl!!). I added three black brads to the bottom.

I added some piercing around the focal panel, scalloped the bottom edges with the Scallop Edge Punch, added some more piercing, and then added two bows, one of Soft Sky Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and one Black Gingham Ribbon.

The entire card was sprayed with some Ritzy Ditzy Glitz in Silver...which puddled in some places :(

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

The flower on the top of the icing is also up on dimensionals!!

The sentiment is from Uplifting Phrases, and I framed it with a Large & Small Oval Punch. The brads are just regular white brads from American Crafts, and I also hit those with my 2 way glie pen and some glitter!! Fun!!

The top portion (his head and hat) are one layer, then his middle is the next layer, and finally the bottom layer is his...well, bottom! LOL!! I used my two way glue pen and glitzed him up with some Crystal Transparent Glitter from Art Instititute Glitter.

The DSP is Ski Slope and I used the Scallop Edge Punch for the edges. I stamped the sentiment and layered it onto Large & Small Oval Punches, and finished off the card with some piercing and Baja Breeze Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

Prettie Monday!!

Hi everyone! Happy Prettie Monday!! Monday is my new day to post a Paper Pretties card, and I must admit, I LOVE this one!! I don't think that too often about my cards, but I think I am really getting the hang of my Copic Markers!!! For this card, I did the Prettie Weekly Challenge #33 (Anyone can play...why don't you check out Paper Pretties, sign up for the forum and play along...Danielle comes up with a new challenge each and every week!!!).

PWC33 was to use Sending You Love (Oh...twist my arm won't you..I LOVE her!!) and you had to use some kind of glittery or liquid embellishment. Easy peasy!! I colored Sophia with my Copic Markers, and added Pink Poinsettia Shimmerz to the hearts!!! IRL it is SUPER sparkly!!!

I cut out Sophia with my circle nestablities (I cannot believe I lived this long without getting these!!). I added some heart brads to my sentiment panel that I have had FOREVER!!!

Thanks SO much for looking and have a Prettie day!!!

Inspired by Circus Colors!!

Hi everyone!!! Happy Saturday! Here is my card for today's Inspiration Challenge on SCS, IC161, which are the super GORGEOUS cakes by Cake Nouveau!!! Last year, my friend Dina and I decided to take one of those cake decorating classes...well, needless to say, my cakes never came out ANYTHING like these...perhaps that is because I dropped out in Session Two!! LOL!!

I was SOOOOO inspired by the Circus Colors Cake here. WOW! These colors just really got me and even though I looked at every other yummy cake on the site, I kept coming back to this one!

I used Crazy For Cupcakes for this, and stamped it twice in Basic Black onto Whisper White Cardstock. I used So Saffron, Ruby Red, Night Of Navy and Tempting Turquoise and watercolored stripes onto the *paper* portion of my cupcake. I then, using my 2 Way Glue Pen, applied Dazzling Diamonds to it so it is super sparkly!! I watercolored the *icing* in Ruby Red. I took my other stamped image, watercolored the icing again, cut it out and popped it up. I love the way it came out!! I added white gel pen highlights to the *sprinkles* and put some Dazzling Diamonds on them, as well as the candle flame.

I created the background by starting with a Ruby Red panel, which I stamped Polka Dot in Ruby Red. I then took a Tempting Turquoise panel, and using my 3/4 inch circle punch, punched bunches of So Saffron circles and arranged them on my Tempting Turquoise panel. I then just cut off the parts of the circles that hung over the edges of my panel. I split the Ruby Red and Tempting Turquoise panels with a strip of Whisper White and So Saffron, both of which I punched with the Scallop Edge Punch. I added two rows of paper piercing for some interest. I used Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, which is SOOOOOO close to Ruby Red...that makes me happy :)

The sentiment is from Short & Sweet and I framed it with some Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware.

Thanks SO much for looking!!!

Weekly Verve Sketch Challenges??? Well, color me excited...and Kiwi!

LOL! Hi everyone! Happy Friday!!! I am off work today and while browsing SCS, came across this thread in the Verve Forum...Weekly Sketch Challenges! How COOL is that! Today's sketch, VLVJan01, has a twist of hardware, so you had to do the sketch and use some hardware! FUN!!

I have been so inspired by Sharon (notimetostamp) and how she uses black & white with a pop of color, so that is what I did here, using Kiwi Kiss as my pop! I used Fluttering By by Verve and the DSP is SU!'s Bella Rose. I stamped the butterfly in Kiwi Kiss directly onto the Bella Rose DSP for some interest. I then stamped the beautiful sentiment from this same set, and added a Kiwi Kiss Butterfly behind it to anchor it. I then used my new Circle Nestabilities to create the circle. For the hardware, I used six black metal brads (I think they are from American Crafts but I am not too sure...). I finished it off with a ribbon knot of Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon and then tied a small piece of Black Gingham Ribbon to the knot.

Thanks so much for looking!!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Fluttering By by Verve
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss & Bella Rose DSP
Ink: Basic Black and Kiwi Kiss
Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, Black Metal Brads, Photo Corner Punch, Paper Piercing Tool & Template, Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon, Black Gingham Ribbon and Dimensionals

These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things...

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!! Here is my card for today's Limited Supply Challenge on SCS, LSC201! What a fun challenge this was! Here are the challenge parameters:

Limit: Your creation should have your favorite things!

Stamps: no specific theme, but should be one of your favorite companies, or your favorite set or images

Cardstock and ink:Your favorite color combination using three colors (neutrals can be added in addition to the three, if desired). Designer paper is fine, as long as it is mainly the three colors (or less) you have chosen.

Embellishments and tools:TWO or THREE of your favorites from this list:1)brads/eyelets/hardware (so if you use both brads and a metal frame, that still only counts as one since they are listed together); 2)punches; 3)ribbon/trim/cord/twine; 4)Nestabilities/Big Shot/Sizzix/Slice/Cricut/Cuttlebug; 5)flowers (paper or otherwise); 6)chipboard/grungeboard; 7)piercing/faux stitching/stitching

Technique: No limit here, but if you want to use a favorite technique too, that would be great!

OK! Here we go! I used stamps from one of my FAVORITE stamp companies, Paper Pretties of course! And get this...check out the newest Stamp of the Month!!! Bunny Hop Sophia! NO WAY! Is she not the CUTEST thing you have EVER seen! I know!!! She is!!! You can sign up for the Stamp of the Month Club right HERE and get Bunny Hop Sophia the month before she is released to the public!! WOO HOO!!

For the cardstock/ink combo, I used one of my favorites, Regal Rose & So Saffron! For this card I used Pink Pirouette as the card base, and GP white as my neutral. I used my beloved Georgia Peach DSP as well!!

Now...the accessories were hard for me...I LOVE my accessories! I decided to use Paper Piercing (of course...can I even make a card without poking holes in it? I think NOT!), punches, just cause I love em', and ribbon!! I REALLY wanted to put some brads on this but I showed some restraint!!

Now, back to Bunny Hop Sophia! I colored her with my Copic Markers (I LOVE my Copics lately...can you tell? LOL!!). I think the next time I stamp her I will put some fun flock on her bunny ears...wouldn't that be the cutest???

OK...it's late and I have to get to bed!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Bunny Hop Sophia
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, GP White & Georgia Peach DSP
Ink: Palette Noir
Accessories: Copic Markers, Paper Piercing Tool & Template, So Saffron Polytwill Ribbon, 1 3/8 & 1 1/4 Inch Circle Punches, Scallop Edge Punch and Dimensionals
