Spooky Sketchy Cracked Glass!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesday!!

Here is my card for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC248, and for this week's There She Goes Challenge, TSG22, Spooky Cracked Glass!

For my card, I went with a color combination of Black/White/Pumpkin Pie. I started with two rectangles of Choice Snow White Cardstock and I stamped the witch and bats one one panel, and the sentiment, "Have A Spooktacular Halloween" and some bats on the other. All of these stamps are from the newly released Spooktacular Silhouettes from There She Goes! This set is SO much fun to use!!

After I had my two panels stamped, I inked up my brayer (that's how I roll these days!) with my Desert Heat Kaleidacolor Ink Pad and rolled on the color. I then, using Versamark, gave each panel three coats of Utee (Ultra Think Embossing Enamel), popped them in the freezer for about 10 minutes, and once they were nice and chilly, cracked them! I added just a touch of Basic Black ink into the cracks. SUCH a fun technique and I LOVE how it turned out with these stamps!!

My Pumpkin Pie panel was run through the Cuttlebug with the Spiderweb Embossing Folder and then sponged with Pumpkin Pie ink to bring out the pattern. My Black center panel was punched with the Bat Border Punch from EK Success, matted on White and then also run through the Cuttlebug with the Spiderweb Embossing Folder.

I finished my card with one little lonely row of piercing, a double ribbon of Whisper White Organdy and Pumpkin Twill, as well as two White Brads by American Crafts.

You can play along with this There She Goes Challenge as well! You can even win! Yep...one winner will receive a $5.00 Gift Certificate to the There She Goes Store! Cool right! You can check it out on the There She Goes Blog, which today features a super fun project from Holly!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Don't forget about my BLOG CANDY HERE!!

Feel Better!!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!

Here is my card for today's Color Challenge on SCS, CC238, Pretty In Gray Shadows, and also Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge (LOVE these!), MTSC41!!

For my card, I stamped this SUPER sweet puppy from Beary Special by Taylored Expressions in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. The sentiment, "Feel Better", is from Doctor's Orders, also by Taylored Expressions!

I made this card for my friend Dina's...dog. Yes, her dog :) Peanut got sick this morning so I made this card for her :) I am sure it will make Dina smile if not Peanut!! LOL!!

As you can see, I sewed on this card...again! When you think about it...sewing is just ALOT of piercing with some thread...LOL!!

I didn't have any Going Gray, so I used Basic Gray cardstock on my card, and the Pretty In Pink DSP is from the old Prints Pack. My Sage Shadow panel (I could never get into this color!), was run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder and I then sponged it a bit with some Sage Shadow Ink. My Pretty In Pink panels were also sponged with Pretty In Pink ink.

I finished off my card with a Scallop Edge border punch, Vintage Brads and a double ribbon of Whisper White Organza (the ONLY thing I ordered from SU! before I say adios!) and Pretty In Pink Taffeta Ribbon!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Don't forget, Taylored Expressions peek begin on Thursday, October 1 and BELIEVE me...you don't want to miss them!!

Also, don't forget about my BLOG CANDY HERE...open until October 3 at 11:59 PM EST!!

Hey Ghoulfriend!!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday!!

Here is my card for today's Technique Lover's Challenge on SCS, TLC240, Foil Embossing!! This was SOOOO much fun...even though you can't really see my foil embossing!!

I had SO much fun making this card! I used two BRAND NEW sets that were released on Saturday by There She Goes, Home Sweet Home (the fireplace image) and Home Sweet Home Halloween Additions (all the other images!). My friend Dina and I were talking about AWESOME this set is today and she totally hit the nail on the head...it's like decorating your own dollhouse! It really is and it is FUN FUN FUN!! I even stamped the spiderwebs on my moldings! How COOL is that!

I first stamped the fireplace in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock, and I then created a mask for it by stamping it again on Post It Notes. I then masked the fireplace and used the bat and small spider from Halloween Additions to create the "wallpaper". I TRIED to channel one of our newest Trendsetters, the AMAZING Sandra MacLean, and I drew in some baseboard molding and a hardwood floor! Did you see her peak cards? Oh my goodness!

ALL the images were colored with Copic Markers, and the "wallpaper" was sponged with Pale Plum ink. I added Glossy Accents to the picture above the fireplace (which I TOTALLY meant to do the Cracked Glass Technique on...d'oh!), the pail holding the bones and the glass full of googlie eyes.

Speaking of the Cracked Glass Technique...that is the challenge today on the There She Goes Blog!! Play along and be entered for a chance to win a $5.00 Gift Certificate to the There She Goes Store! The TSG Blog is the place to go for ALL kinds of TSG info!

I used my sewing machine and stitched along the edges of all my panels, and my foil was embossed with the Spiderweb Embossing Folder (it's there...I promise!!), and I finished this off with some yummy ribbon and the "Hey Ghoulfriend" sentiment!!

You can get these two sets right now at There She Goes! Jessica also hinted at the TSG Release Party on Saturday Night that perhaps there were some other additions to this AMAZING set coming down the pike!! Here's hoping!! For a LIMITED time, you can get BOTH of these sets for a special low price! This is ONLY good until September 30, 2009! You can get the combo right HERE.

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Don't forget my BLOG CANDY right here!!

Although I don't "officially" start until next Saturday, I did play along with today's sketch, SSS23!! My card is also for today's Inspiration Challenge on SCS, IC199, The Pajama Squid! This site is SUPER inspiring, and as soon as I saw this Mushroom Bib, I knew what I wanted to do!

I was quite inspired by all the mushrooms on the inspiration piece, and so I pulled out some yummy new Cosmo Cricket, EarthLove!! All the patterned paper on my card is from this collection! The colors differ from the inspiration piece, but they are still mushrooms!!

For my focal image, I stamped this ADORABLE mushrooms (which I masked to put one in front of the other) from Fairy Good Day by There She Goes. The mushrooms and butterfly were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic Markers. I opted to leave off a sentiment as I am not sure what I am going to use this card for as of yet.

Notice there is no piercing on my card! I am OBSESSED (seriously!!) with SEWING on my cards!! I have a few projects in the works that I can't show yet (wink!) and almost ALL of them are sewn! I have to say...I resisted this for SO long, but I am glad I finally gave it a try! I just love the texture it lends to a card!

Tonight is the There She Goes Release Party in the There She Goes Forum right HERE (you just have to register first!) I will be there along with the other Trendsetters chatting and partying it up! Whoa! Sugar Rush!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday!!

Here is my card for today's Limited Supply Challenge on SCS, LSC239, Can't You Hear Me?...S.O.S.! and for the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge, TESC84!!

I really had fun with today's LSC...it was fun to think it all out!! Here is my S.O.S.!

S: Scallops
O: Orange Cardstock
S: Stickles

I started by stamping this SUPER cute Clown Cuppie from the newly released Trick Or Sweet II set from Taylored Expressions in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock. I then colored him with Copic Markers. I LOVE that this set can be used for WAY more than just Halloween! This is a birthday card I made for our friend's son! I think he will love it!!

All the colors were pulled from the patterned paper I used, which is Tube Socks from The Boyfriend Collection by Cosmo Cricket! This paper is SOOOO fun!

ALL the cardstock on my card is from Prism. Their colors are SOOOO yummy and I swear, there is a color to match ANY patterned paper! You can find over 50 (yes...that's 50!) different colors of Prism at Taylored Expressions! On my card, I used Intense Orange, Suede Brown Dark and Island Mist Light!

My Intense Orange panel was embossed with the Circles Impressabilities by Spellbinders. I LOVE the patterns that these Impressabilites come in...and they work in the Cuttlebug, so they are super easy too! All the paper piercing on my card was done with the Stitch Doodle Dot Template from Crafter's Workshop. FUN!

I finished this off with two Very Vanilla Brads and Diamond Stickles on Cuppie's cherry-on-top, nose and buttons!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!! I am almost ready for my blog candy post...so check back soon!!

Up To My Eyeballs In TSG!!

Hi everyone!!! Happy Thursday!!

Welcome to Day #3 of There She Goes sneak peeks!!! If you made your way here from the AMAZING JESSIE'S BLOG, perfect! If not, please start this hop at the WONDERFUL DAWN'S BLOG!
So...remember my card from yesterday? The one with the fireplace and all the delightful accents? Well, check this out hoppers!! May I introduce Home Sweet Home Halloween Additions!!!

How COOL is this!! I took the SAME fireplace that I used yesterday, and using elements from Home Sweet Home Halloween Additions, and it totally makes it spooky and creepy (in a fun way!!)!!

I started by coloring the fireplace in all grey tones with Copic Markers, and after I colored it, I went back and added Star Dust Stickles to the stones. All of the other elements, like the spooky jars full of eyes, brains and poison, were also colored with Copic Markers, and I added Glossy Accents to each of these so that the are super glossy!!

I LOVE this sentiment...I'm Up To My Eyeballs In Crazy! It just cracks me up!! I framed the sentiment in Circle Punches, and the patterned paper is Eerie by Basic Grey.

You can't really see it, but I did run my Basic Grey panel through the Cuttlebug with the Spiderwebs Embossing Folder!

I finished this off with four Black Brads by American Crafts...and get this...NO Piercing! See...CRAZY!! LOL!!

The next stop on this spooky hop is over at the AWESOME JULIE'S BLOG!!
Here is a list of the hoppers today, just in case you lose your way!

Would you like a chance to win your very own Home Sweet Home Halloween Additions? Of COURSE you would! Well, it's super easy to get that chance! Introducing Home Sweet Home!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday!

Today, ALL of the Trendsetters are peeking an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G new set called Home Sweet Home! Now, I KNOW I say this ALOT, but this may be my favorite TSG set ever! The possibilites are ENDLESS with this set! I had SO much fun making this card!!

For my card, I knew I wanted a "homey" feel, so I started with a piece of Mr. Campy paper from Cosmo Cricket, and pulled my color combo of Chocolate Chip, So Saffron & Sage Shadow from it.

I stamped the fireplace onto Choice Snow White and all the accessories as well! These are just what I chose to accessorize with...there are SOOOOO many choices in this set!!

ALL of my images were colored with Copic Markers, and I added Glossy Accents to the mirror above the fireplace, the flames of the fire and the wine bottle and glasses, and in real life, it looks SUPER cool!!

The sentiment is BEAUTIFUL..."Every house where love abides and friendship is a guest, is surely home, and Home Sweet Home for there the heart can rest"! LOVE that!! I created a sentiment tag for this, and I colored the hearts with Copic Markers as well. Glossy Accents were added to the hearts too!

I added JUST A BIT of piercing to this, and finished this off with some yummy So Saffron Poly Twill Ribbon and tied a Latte Button to it with Linen Thread! My mom already saw this card and said if it was hers, she would frame it...guess it's hers now! LOL!!

The next stop of this Home Sweet Home Hop is the FABULOUS JULIE'S BLOG!!

Woo Hoo! Congrats girls!!

Today, the some of the Trendsetters are hopping along to celebrate Spooktacular Silhouettes!! Did you make your way here from my SUPER FAB pal Jessie's blog? If so, AWESOME! If not, please start the hop over at the AMAZING Faith's Blog!!

I have two cards to share with you that I made with this UBER fun set!!!

For my first card, I started with a piece of Choice Snow White Cardstock, and I stamped the moon from this set in Summer Sun. I stamped the tree, bat and the cat (which I totally covered up with my ribbon...duh!) and I then clear embossed the moon so I could ink over it and keep it vibrant.

I cut out my image with a Rectangle Nestabilities, and then while the paper was STILL IN THE NESTIE, I pulled out my brayer (this is the SECOND time in a matter of a month I have used my brayer...I think I may love it!), and I inked it up with Pale Plum & Perfect Plum ink, and brayered my panel. I then removed my nestie and presto chango, I still have my white border! Super fun right?

I framed the image with Black Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities, and the patterned paper is Eerie from Basic Grey, which I just LOVE with this set!!

Can you see that SUPER cool border on the bottom? It is the Bat punch from EK Success...totally LOVE that!! I finished this off with the sentiment in Circle Nestabilities, and Black Beetle Sugarcoated Brads by Doodlebug. There is just a bit of piercing on this one!!

For my next card, I wanted a more "clean" look, and this one came together really fast!!

I stamped the witch from Spooktacular Silhouettes in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Intense Kiwi Cardstock. I then stamped her again onto Summer Sun Cardstock, punched it out with my 1 Inch Circle Punch and then lined it up. I wanted it to look like her shadow passing in front of the moon! I stamped the bat from Spooktacular Silhouettes in Versamark and stamped it over my witch panel and the background Intense Kiwi panel...I love the soft look of it!

I, once again, used this SUPER cool Bat Punch from EK Success to create my border, and kept the rest of the card really simple with some piercing, a ribbon knot and three Black Brads by American Crafts!!!

Here is a list of the hoppers in case you get lost along the way!!

RockStar!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!!

Here is my card for today's Color Challenge on SCS, CC237, Crushed Black Razzleberry, and for yesterday's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge, MOJO105!

So...I received, on MONDAY, the Verve Stamps I ordered SATURDAY...yes...ONE day in between ordering and receiving...how CRAZY fab is that? Pretty crazy fab I'd say ;)

I used two AMAZING new Verve sets, You Rock and Starstruck!! I LOVE these new sets!

I started with Razzleberry Lemonade DSP from SU! Using my 1 1/4 Circle Punch, I punched four circles from Razzleberry Lemonade, and four circle from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock.

I stamped this AWESOME star from You Rock in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Rich Razzleberry Cardstock and cut it out. It is popped up on a layer of Razzleberry Lemonade DSP that I stamped a design from Starstruck on in Memento Tuxedo Black.

I created a border with the Fleur De Lis punch from EK Success, as I like how it mimics the Fleur De Lis pattern in the star.

I finished this off with piercing (duh!) and a double ribbon of Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry Polka Dot Ribbons and two Black Brads from American Crafts. The sentiment is from Starstruck and it is stamped directly onto the Crushed Curry cardstock, which was sprayed with some YUMMY Plum Metallic Maya Mist!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! I will be back in just a few short hours...There She Goes sneak peeks begin TONIGHT!! WOOT!!

The September Key Ingredients Are Here!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday!! Today is an exciting day! The September Key Ingredients are now available at Taylored Expressions!!!

In true Taylor style, the September Key Ingredients are simply FABULOUS!!! The patterned paper, which is Kitchen Spice from Bo Bunny, is DELISH and the coordinating cardstock and embellishments are DELIGHTFUL!!

For those of you who subscribe to the Key Ingredients Subscription, you may very well have your September Key Ingredients in hand! For those of you ordering this today, you will have yours lickety split too!! The Baker's Dozen would LOVE if you all played along with us in a fun challenge using the September Key Ingredients!! This month, we all created projects that have a "kitchen" theme to them!! We also all DISTRESSED our projects!! When you upload your creation to your blog or online gallery, make sure you head over to Taylor's blog and leave your link in Mr. Linky so we can all check em' out!!

For my first project, I decided to create a little recipe book for my kitchen!! Currently, I have ALL of my cookbooks in an upper cabinet...not the easiest place to reach (which shows you how often I create gourmet meals!!), and I thought it would be SO nice to have a super cute book that I can leave out on my counter!! I plan on filling up my recipe book with wonderful recipes from my Nani (my 90 year old grandmother!), my Grandma and my Mom!!

This was SO easy to make! I started by taking a book I had purchased and picked out this GORGEOUS polka dot paper from the September Key Ingredients! I used my Spiral Punch to create the punched holes, and they lined up perfectly with the binding on the book!! Once that was done, I sponged ALL of the edges with Close to Cocoa ink and a Sponge Dauber.

I created the "Family Recipes" title with my Brayton Font from JustRite Stamps, and I then stamped the pie from Berries & Cherries in Memento Rich Cocoa. I cut out the panel with Circle Nestabililites, and while the paper was still in the nestie, I sponged more Close to Cocoa ink with a Sponge Dauber. When I removed the paper from the nestie, I still had the Choice Buttercream border! I then stamped the pie again, colored them both with Copic Markers, cut one pie out and popped it up on Foam Tape!

I added some piercing to my panels, and I then covered the chipboard flower from the September Key Ingredients with a different pattern of paper from the KI. I used Zip Dry Glue to adhere the paper to the chipboard. It dries SO fast! This is the best glue for this! I tied a button to the center of the flower (the buttons are ALSO in the September KI!!) with some linen thread, and I finished off my book with a double ribbon around the spiral binding!

I also made two cards using the September Key Ingredients! For my first card, the layout is the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge from Friday, TESC83!! I punched out nine different patterns from this DELISH patterned paper with my 1 1/4 Square Punch. I then punched out 1 3/8 mats of Suede Brown Dark.

I distressed each square with my Cutter Tool and then sponged each one with Close to Cocoa Ink and a Sponge Dauber. Each square was pierced as well.

For my focal image, I started by stamping the bowl of cherries image from Berries & Cherries in Choice Buttercream (this is the neutral cardstock in the September KI) in Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored the entire image with my Copic Markers and then gave it a coat of Glossy Accents. After it was dry I cut it out with Circle Nestabilites, Distressed it and sponged it. The yellow scallops around my focal image ARE NOT NESTIES...it is the yellow Ric Rac Ribbon from the September Key Ingredients! I love the warmth and texture this adds to my card!! I stamped the "Life Is Just A Bowl Of Cherries" sentiment, also from Berries & Cherries, directly onto one of my squares!
My second card is about as CAS (clean and simple) as I get. It's no secret that I LOVE layers, and lots of em'. While I was covering the Chipboard Flower on my Family Recipe Book, this card was starting to come to life in my head!

I covered three of the small Chipboard Flowers from the September Key Ingredients with three different patterns of the Kitchen Spice Patterned Paper. I then sewed a button in the center of each flower.

My sentiment, "You're In My Thoughts and Prayers" is from the beautiful Faith and Hope stamp set! After I stamped the sentiment, I embossed my Choice Buttercream panel with the Diamond and Stars Impressabilities from Spellbinders. I then lightly sponged the panel to bring out the design. I think it actually looks like an antique coverlet for a bed!

I had to pierce SOMETHING on this card, so I created a pierced rectangle frame around my three Chipboard Flowers!!!

I LOVE the Prism Paper that is always included in the Key Ingredients! The colors are always SO yummy and I LOVE that one side is smooth and the other textured!! Did you know that Taylored Expressions now carries over 50 different colors of Prism!! Yep, it's true and it's a dream come true for me! I am in the process of switching over ALL my cardstock to Prism!! If you are in the same boat, head on over and pick up some Prism...it is YUMMY!!

You can see what some of the other Baker's Dozen girls have done with this awesome KI right here:

Charmaine Ikach
Donna Baker
Karen Giron
Laura Fredrickson
Sharon Harnist

and of course, Taylor VanBruggen!!

Don't you just LOVE the September Key Ingredients! You can click right HERE and sign up for the Key Ingredients Subscription! It is offered in either a 3 month subscription or a 6 month subscription!! Each month you will receive an AMAZING Key Ingredients, hand-picked by Taylor herself! The Key Ingredients make creating AMAZING and coordinating projects SO easy!! Now Taylored Expressions is offering a monthly charge program!! This new features allows you to be charged MONTHLY for your Key Ingredients instead of having to pay for your subscription up front!! It couldn't be any easier...and at $14.95 (plus shipping) a month, you really can't beat the value! Check out THIS AWESOME VIDEO to get more KI info!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday!!

Here is my card for today's Limited Supply Challenge, LSC238, Spoooooooky Colors, and also for the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge, TESC83!!

I totally LOVE this layout...and now my cuppies remind me of either the Brady Bunch or Hollywood Squares! Giggle!!

For my card, I used cardstock and patterned paper from the Halloween Key Ingredients from Taylored Expressions! LOVE the spooky (yet cute) colors!!

I stamped ALL of the different cuppies from the newly released (and I think perhaps my favorite set!) Trick or Sweet II from Taylored Expressions!

They are all stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock (this is the ONLY cardstock I use when I color with my Copics...I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!). They are all punched from a 1 1/4 Square Punch and matted with 1 3/8 Square Punches! I added piercing around the edge of the card!

I pulled a Peanutbee (well I tried to anywho!) and decorated the inside of my card as I didn't want to cover my cuppies on the front with a sentiment. I LOVE this sentiment, especially with all the different cuppies on the front! The strip of patterned paper is Basic Grey Eerie, from the Halloween Key Ingredients!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Holy Verve Challenges Batman!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! This is a SUPER long post...just warning ya!!

So, today I realized that TOMORROW is the Verve release...and I realized...Julee must have challenges right? Yep...FIVE of them! Well, I LOVE me some Vervage (grin!), so, tonight, starting with Survivor, all the way through Project Runway, I made FIVE Verve cards! I don't think I have EVER made five cards in one night before!!!

OK...I won't go into CRAZY details on each of these...I think that they are pretty much self explanatory, but I will just give y'all (I like to talk like I am from the South...my TE girls know all about that!) a brief summary of each one!!

My first card is for Julee's Sketch Challenge, SEP09A! Of course, Julee ALWAYS has awesome sketches, and I had SO much fun making this! All the DSP on this is the retired SU! Rockabilly, and I used Express Yourself from the last Verve Stamps release!! I masked the heel so that I had a pair, colored them with Copics, and then added a highlight of Moonlight Smooch to each shoe! I also added TONS of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles (I am REALLY hoping that we were NOT supposed to combine challenges...I did a separate one for Lynda's Bling Challenge!).

My second card is for my sweet friend Charmaine's Color Challenge, SEP09B! The layout is MOJO104, which I didn't get to do when it was posted. I went with the SU! colors for my card, which are Rich Razzleberry, Dusty Durango, Taken With Teal and Old Olive!! For this card, I finally inked up Party Time, and the balloons were stamped FOUR times, colored with Copics and then layered with Foam Tape. This card is UBER dimensional in real life! I also used Bountiful Backgrounds to stamp the polka dot pattern on the Dusty Durango panels. The Rich Razzleberry background and the Taken With Teal Circle Panel were embossed with my new Circles Impressabilites by Spellbinders (LOVE these!!), and I finished this off with two White Brads by American Crafts.

My third card is for my darling friend, and fellow DDA, Michelle's Color Challenge, SEP09C! I also used another Mojo Monday Sketch for this one, MOJO101. Again, I went with SU! colors for my card, Mellow Moss, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla! SUCH yummy colors!! For this card, I used one of my most favorite Verve sets, Delightful & Delicious!! Again, I embossed my Pumpkin Pie background with Impressabilites, this time I used Diamond & Stars! I used two different retired DSP's from SU! on this card, Bella Rose & Summer Picnic. This was the first time I stamped an image in Memento Rich Cocoa, and I colored my coffee cup with Copic Markers. I did add some Coffee Shimmerz to the "coffee" part of my cup!! I finished this off with three Vanilla Brads in each corner, by American Crafts!!

My fourth card is for my SUPER fab friend Jackie's challenge, which was to distress, SEP09D! I was SCARED of this challenge! Personally, I tend to like clean lines, so distressing is a technique I find sort of hard to do! That being said, I ADORE how this card came out (and that hardly ever happens!!). The layout is MOJO96 and I started by stamping this GORGEOUS sentiment from the Romans 12:13 Plain Jane in Memento Rich Cocoa, and after cutting and embossing my panel with Circle Nestabilities, I left the paper in the nestie and sponged some Soft Sky ink all around it. LOVE the effect you get with this technique!! The patterned paper is the UBER yummy Brunch pattern from the Early Bird Collection at Cosmo Cricket! ALL the panels were sponged and then distressed with my SU! Cutter Kit. I finished this off with a ribbon that I colored with a Copic Marker, and two Very Vanilla Brads...that you can't even really see!! Thanks for making me go out of my comfort zone Jacks!!

My fifth, and last card of the night, is for the amazing Lynda's Challenge, SEP09E, which was to use bling!! This card was SOOOO much fun to make!! Once again, I used a Mojo Monday Sketch for this card, MOJO93. I used my very first Verve set, Snow Wonderful for my card! I stamped this ADORABLE snowman in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock, colored him with Copics, and then, using my Two Way Glue Pen, added Crystal Transparant Glitter to him so he is SUPER blinged out!! To continue the "bling", I added three Crystal Circle Rhinestone Brads to the corner, and the DSP on this card is the retired Ski Slope from SU! I did add tons of piercing, which I pretty much did on all five of my cards!!

I can't wait to see the entire Verve Release tomorrow night!! I am also SUPER excited that I was able to get all five of the challenges done!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Little Piggies!!

Hi again everyone!! Happy Wednesday again!!!

Here is my card for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC246!! For my card, I used the BRAND spankin' new Trick or Sweet II from Taylored Expressions!! I totally tried to channel Taylor (in my dreams right???), and I inked up this ADORABLE little pig and masked him so that I have three little piggies!! I chose to make this a Halloween card, but how FUN would it be to make a Three Little Pigs card for a little child!! Oooooh...the ideas are flowing!!

All of the pigs were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White (This is the neutral paper included in the Halloween Key Ingredients!!) ALL the cardstock, patterned paper and ribbon on this card are from the Halloween Key Ingredients!!! LOVIN' this KI!!

The sentiment that I used actually says "We're All Little Piggies On Halloween", but I just inked up the "Little Piggies" part! Fun right?? I framed my sentiment in Small, Large & Scallop Oval Punches!!

Instead of piercing, I used my ruler and a black marker and created frames around all the panels!! I added highlights to each cuppie with my White Gel Pen and called em' done!!

Did you see the BRAND NEW Taylored Expressions Gallery? There is a album for EVERY Taylored Expressions set with TONS of samples from the Baker's Dozen!! It's AWESOME!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by...again!!

Totally Creepy!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!! Here is my card for this past Friday's TESC (Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge) TESC82!!

For my card, I used all new Taylored Expressions goodness!! I started by stamping the creepy (in a totally awesome way!) tree from Spooky Expressions in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock. I then (get ready for this one!) busted out my brayer (what??) and using Apricot Appeal, Pumpkin Pie & Really Rust SU! ink, I brayered right over my tree!!! After that one done (and it looked SOOOOO cool!!), I added some Crystal Transparent Glitter using Heat & Stick Powder, and went over the entire tree panel!! It looks SO cool in real life (but the colors are lost in the photograph!).

I used DELISH papers from the Halloweeen Key Ingredients on my card (LOVE this Eerie dp!), and the ribbons are also from the Halloween Key Ingredients!! Taylor, once again, has created an AMAZING Key Ingredients! The Halloween KI is for sure one of my favorites (well...to be honest, I LOVE them all!).

My circle panel was created with Circle Nestabilities, and I stamped the circle from Spooky Expressions in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Intense Kiwi, and then stamped it again, along with the Spider and Totally Creepy sentiment, also from Spooky Expressions, in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Wizard Medium!! I LOVE how these stamps were designed to use with Nestabilities!!!

I did add some piercing to my card (grin!) AND, I even stamped the inside of my card with the spiderweb from Spooky Expressions!! It is SO super cool!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

I Appreciate Your Kindness!!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! I cannot even believe that it has been an entire WEEK since I posted to my blog! I don't think I have ever done that before!! Yikes!!
I had a heinous week at work last week, and then orientation for Meredith's nursery school, and then I went to Maine on Saturday morning and came home last night...sheesh!! No wonder I haven't posted!!

Well, Meredith starts nursery school today so I am off work so I can take her, pick her up, and then, if she is a good girl at school, off to Build-A-Bear!!

I did want to get in one card before we leave!! This is my card for today's Color Challenge on SCS, CC236, Whisper Pretty Soft Suede, and also for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge, MTSC39!!

For my card, I started by stamping this gorgeous floral image from Side by Side by There She Goes in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock. I colored the image with Copic Markers (which I got more of in NH this weekend...woot!), and cut it out with Circle Nestabilities.

My Pretty In Pink and Soft Suede panels were run through the Cuttlebug with Diamond & Stars Impressabilities from Spellbinders. These are AWESOME and I LOVE the pattern it created! I highlighted the pattern with a Sponge Dauber and some Whisper White Craft Ink.

I added some piercing, and stamped the sentiment, I Appreciate Your Kindness, from Bloom by There She Goes, directly onto my Pretty In Pink panel using Soft Suede Ink!! I finished off my card with three Whisper White Brads and a double ribbon of Whisper White Organza and Soft Suede Polka Dot! I really must stock up on that Whisper White Ribbon before I say farewell to my SU! Demoship at the end of the month!!

Make sure you check out the There She Goes Blog! It's brand new and there are awesome new posts every day! Today is Trendsetter Tuesday featuring Faith!! WOO HOO!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! I will be back later with a picture of my little student and perhaps another card!!!

Just Because!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!

Here is my card for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge, MTSC38, and for today's Color Challenge on SCS, CC235, Elegant Basic Olives!!

Initially, I was going to make a Halloween card, but I thought I would try and go for a more elegant look with these colors...think I achieved that?

I started by stamping this gorgeous flower image from Side by Side from There She Goes in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock. I stamped the image again on another piece of Choice Buttercream, colored both and then cut out and popped the flowers up on Foam Tape.

I then stamped the Just Because sentiment from Bloom, also from There She Goes, and using a ruler and black pen, created a frame around my image and sentiment. Once again...I did NOT pierce!! Crazy right???

I ran both my Elegant Eggplant (all of a sudden I LOVE this color!!) and Old Olive panels through the Cuttlebug with the D'Vine Swirl Embossing Folder! I haven't used this EF in ages, but I still love it!!!

I finished off my card with two Vanilla Brads by American Crafts, as well as a double ribbon of Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, one of which I colored purple with a Copic Marker (V09). There is the merest bit of Star Dust Stickles in my flower center for some shimmer!!

Did you know that There She Goes has a brand new blog??? Each day is something new and exciting! Today, as it's Tuesday, is Trendsetter Tuesday, and Angela aka Mudflapmama is the featured Trendsetter! You can check it out right here!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be back a little bit later tonight...I am trying to get some goodies together for blog candy!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Side by Side & Bloom by There She Goes
Paper: Basic Black, Choice Buttercream, Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Copic Markers, D'Vine Swirl Embossing Folder, Vanilla Brads by American Crafts, Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Ruler, Black Pen and Foam Tape

The Music Of Life!

Hi again everyone!! Happy Monday still! I have been going to bed early ALL weekend...and now, when I should go to bed early tonight to get ready for work tomorrow, I feel like stamping up a storm!!!

Here is my card for today's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge, Mojo103!!! Awesome sketch, as usual!!

I had this Early Bird paper from Cosmo Cricket out on my stamp table, so I used it again! Twist my arm...this paper is my favorite!

I pulled out a piece of Choice Buttercream Cardstock that I cut out with my friend Ann's Label 9 Nesties!! I totally MUST have these nesties! I only own Label 1, which I can do without...but these are a necessity!!

I stamped the sentiment from Floral Symphony from Verve Stamps onto my Label 9 with Memento Tuxedo Black. I then stamped just a bit of the leaves and a tulip from Miracles Blossom, also from Verve Stamps. I stamped the tulip again, colored them both with Copic Markers and then popped up the tulip on Foam Tape!!

I decided to NOT paper pierce on this card...so instead, I added TONS of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles all around the Label 9 as well as my Scallop Edge. The Sunflowers Medium & Rose Medium panels were run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.

I am not sure if you could consider this a CAS card (clean and simple), but this is about as CAS as I get!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Fairy Blessings!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Happy Labor Day for those of you here in the US!!

Here is a card I made for TSG19, an AWESOME sketch challenge over at the BRAND NEW There She Goes Blog!! Have you been there yet? It's pretty fab! Each day there is something new...a challenge, a technique, Trendsetter info...it's chock full of fabulous TSG info!!

For my card, I started by stamping this UBER cute fairy from Fairy Good Day by There She Goes in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock! I colored her with Copic Markers in colors to match my yummy Early Bird paper from Cosmo Cricket!!

This paper is, hands down, my favorite patterned paper ever! I was SO afraid of running out that I ordered TONS of it with my friend Ann! We both have ALOT of Cosmo Cricket around now!!

I added some highlights with my White Gel Pen on my fairy to make her pop, and I also added two little white dots to her eyes. I added some Twinkles to each of the flower centers in her hair, as well as four on my sentiment panel.

The sentiment I used actually says "Fairy Blessings For A Beautiful Day", but I just inked up the "Fairy Blessings" part of the sentiment. I LOVE to do that...you get SO many options! My sentiment was popped out of a Large Oval Punch and layered on a Scallop Oval Punch. I used a double ribbon of Real Red and a light Turquoise, and finished off my card with a Cherry Brad by American Crafts in each corner!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Make sure to head on over to the TSG Blog to play along in the challenge!! The challenge is open until next Monday and one winner will be chosen and will receive a $5.00 Gift Certificate to the There She Goes Store!!! WOOT!!

Party! Party! Party!

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday! It sure feels like Saturday what with tomorrow being a holiday! Woo Hoo!!

I have to run out and do some food shopping (I know...it's an exciting life I lead), but I wanted to finish these two cards I have been working on!!

The Taylored Expressions Birthday Bash is going strong over at the Stamp A Sweet Impression Blog, and these two cards I have made actually encompass SIX Baker's Dozen Challenges!!

We would LOVE if you played along...the prizes are AMAZING!!

My first card is for three challenges! Taylor's Inspiration Challenge, TEBBTV, Karen's Sketch Challenge, TEBBKM, and Donna's Paper Piecing Challenge, TEBBDB!

I was SO inspired by the colors in Taylor's Inspiration, and so I pulled out some retired East Coast Prep DSP from SU! for my card! I paper pieced cuppie's *wrapper* with some of the same DSP! I used the Cuppie from Doctor's Orders for my card, I just omitted the "Get Well Soon" sentiment from the balloon!!! Cuppie and the balloons were all colored with Copic Markers and just did a LITTLE bit of piercing on my card!! I finished it off with a scallop border (Karen's sketch ROCKS...I am totally going to use this over and over!), some Cherry Brads by American Crafts and a TRIPLE ribbon of Wild Wasabi Double Stitched Grosgrain, Tempting Turquoise Grosgrain and Whisper White Grosgrain!! My sentiment, "Happy Birthday" is from Branching Out!

My second card is also for three challenges! Charmaine's Color Challenge, TEBBIC, Laura's Sketch Challenge, TEBBLF, and Dawn's Paper Tole Challenge, TEBBDE!!

I used Boys Will Be Boys for my card, and I stamped this golf image quite a few times! The "green" was stamped twice and popped up on Foam Tape, the flagpole was stamped twice and popped up on Foam Tape, and the Flag and golf ball were stamped three times and popped up on Foam Tape!!

All the images were colored with Copic Markers and I used a cloud template with Bashful Blue ink behind my image.

I ran my Sunflowers Medium & Choice Snow White panels through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, and I cut out my sentiment, "Hope Your Day is Par-Fect", which is also from Boys Will Be Boys, with one of the tag dies from Lots of Tags from SU!/Sizzix. I attached the tag with a Bashful Blue Brad, and then added three White Brads on the left panel!!

I finished off my card with some Bashful Blue Striped Ribbon and some Apple Green Satin Ribbon!! Yummy!! Now...this is shocking...but there is NO patterned paper and NO piercing on this card! Yikes! You can get these three Prism Cardstock Colors right here!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Make sure to use the keywords for each challenge when you upload your creations...I would love to see what you all make!!

It's Release Day at Taylored Expressions {and Happy Birthday Cuppie!!}

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday, Happy Release Day at Taylored Expressions and Happy Birthday to sweet Cuppie!!!

Today is release day at Taylored Expressions, and I and the rest of the Baker's Dozen get to share another AMAZING new set with you...Punchy Potions!!

As you can see...I had TONS of fun with this new set (and shhh...this card right here may well be my fav TE card that I have ever made!!) and just WAIT until you see the most amazing part of this set...are you ready? The images in this set were designed to work with the Large Oval Nestabilities by Spellbinders!!! WOO HOO!!!

For my card, I stamped this AWESOME Good Witch/Bad Witch image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored the image with Copic Markers. I then framed it in my Nestabilities and used it as the focal point of my card!!

ALL the cardstock, patterned paper, ribbon AND the super fab epoxy brad, are from the Halloween Key Ingredients, which is also being released today!!! I ADORE the Basic Grey Eerie paper included in this KI! ADORE it!! I did add four brads from my stash in each of the corners, and in order to make them fabu, I gave them each a coat of Grape Soda Smooch! COOL right?

Now...check out the MAGIC of the Punchy Potions set...potion bottles that coordinate! Yep...potion bottles! Totally fabulous right???

For my potion bottles, I stamped images from Punchy Potions again onto Choice Snow White Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them with Copic Markers. I then cut them out with Oval and Scallop Oval Nestabilities. I also cut out another two ovals out of Sticker Paper (which is included in the Punchy Potions Bundle along with the Potion Bottles, the Punchy Potions Stamp Set AND Classic Large Oval Nestabilties...ALL for just $43.95...talk about a DEAL!!), and then glued my finished images to the sticker paper.

Once that was done, all I did was peel and stick my labels on!! I also created cork toppers with the set to match the labels! Fun fun fun! I filled my potion bottles with Candy Corn and Bat Jawbreakers...now I just have to keep them away from Meredith!

In this close up picture, you can see how I went over the spider web with a Spica Clear Glitter Pen...it looks SO cool in real life!!!
You can check out the spooky creations of the Baker's Dozen right here!!

and of course, Taylor VanBruggen!!!
Now...not only is it release day...and Cuppies Birthday...and the Birthday Bash on the SASI Blog...it's also the day that all of you that are signed up for the Taylored Expressions newsletter get to see a project that I made...a Perfect Package Punchy Potions (say that 3 times fast!!) Card Set!!! I am SO excited to share it with you here on my blog today!!

I started with a Perfect Package (LOVE these...this is my 4th card set that I have made with a Perfect Package...they ROCK!!) and the Halloween Key Ingredients that are being released today! Of course, I had to use Punchy Potions...this set is SOOOO super versatile! I wanted to show you how EASY it is to use all of these products and create a super fun set of Halloween cards!!

I started by stamping this AWESOME image (my personal favorite from Punchy Potions) in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock.
Next, I lined up my Classic Oval Nestabilities (see how EASY this is!!) and ran it through my Cuttlebug!! You can see how PERFECT it fits!!

Here is a picture of the front of my Perfect Package, and another of the entire set together! I actually created TWO of each of the cards...told you I LOVE this Halloween KI and the Punchy Potions Set!!!

All of the images on the cards were colored with Copic Markers, they all use the cardstock, patterned paper and ribbon from the Halloween Key Ingredients, and they all have Taylor's Tiny Twinkles on them!!!

How did you like all the peeks for the past few days? Loved them? I sure hope so! Head on over to Taylored Expressions and you can now purchase all of the sets, bundles and Key Ingredients you have seen us all use for the past few days!!
